Nuclear power plants (NPP) using Alloy 600 (Ni 75wt%, Cr 15wt%, Fe 10wt%) as a heat exchanger tube of the steam generator (SG) have experienced various corrosion problems by ageing such as pitting, intergranular attack (IGA) and stress corrosion cracking (SCC). In spite of much effort to reduce the material degradations, SCC is still one of important problems to overcome. Especially lead is known to be one of the most deleterious species in the secondary system that cause SCC of the alloy. Even Alloy 690 (Ni 60wt%, Cr 30wt%, Fe 10wt%) as an alternative of Alloy 600 because of outstanding superiority to SCC is also susceptible to leaded environment. An oxide on SG tubing materials such as Alloy 600 and Alloy 690 is formed and modified expanding to complex sludge throughout hideout return (HOR) of various impurities including Pb. Oxide formation and breakdown is requisite for SCC initiation and propagation. Therefore it is expected that an oxide property such as a passivity of an oxide formed on steam generator tubing materials is deeply related to PbSCC and an inhibitor to hinder oxide modification by lead efficiently can be found. In the present work, the SCC susceptibility obtained by using a slow strain rate test (SSRT) in aqueous solutions with and without lead was discussed in view of the oxide property. The oxides formed on Alloy 600 and Alloy 690 in aqueous solutions with and without lead were examined by using a transmission electron microscopy (TEM), an energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDXS), an x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and an electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).

In practice, the design of forging processes is performed based on an experience-oriented technology, that is designer's experience and expensive trial and errors. Using the finite element simulation and the artificial neural network, we propose an optimal die geometry satisfying the design conditions of final product. A three-layer neural network is used and the back propagation algorithm is employed to train the network. An optimal die geometry that satisfied the same between inner extruded rib and outer extruded one is determined by applying the ability of function approximation of neural network. The neural networks may reduce the number of finite element simulation for determine the optimal die geometry of forging products and further they are usefully applied to physical modelling for the forging design.

In this study, divalent europium-activated $NaCaPO_4$ green phosphor powders were prepared by the chemical synthetic method followed by heat treatment in reduced atmosphere, and the crystal structures, morphologies and photoluminescent properties of the powders were investigated by x-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscope and spectrometer for the first time. The effects of Ca/P and Na/Ca mole ratios on the final products were also investigated. The influences of input amount change of europium as the activator on the light emission intensity were studied, and the resulting concentration quenching phenomenon was observed. The optimized synthesis conditions obtained in this study were Ca/P mole ratio 1.2, Na/Ca mole ratio 3.0 and 4 mole%Eu. The peak wavelength was 505 nm for all the samples. The result of excitation spectrum measurement indicated that the excitation efficiency was high for the long-wavelength UV region. It was thus concluded that the samples prepared in this study can be successfully applied for the light-emitting devices such as LED excited with long-wavelength UV light sources.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of DFPR on differentiation of mouse calvarial cell in vitro, to examine the possibility for periodontal regeneration. $10{\mu}g/ml$ of DFPR was used as experimental concentration. osteogenic medium only was assigned as control, Experimental 1 was supplemented with 10nM dexamethasone, Experimental 2 with $10{\mu}g/ml$ DFPR and Experimental 3 with l0nM dexamethasone + $10{\mu}g/ml$ DFPR. cellular activity was evaluated by MTT method at 8, 12, 16 days, expression of mRNA of ALP, osteopontin, osteocalcin, collagen type-l was detected by RT-PCR method at 4, 8, 12, 16 days of culture. extent of mineralization was observed by Von Kossa staining at 16 day of culture. The results are as follows 1)Any acceleration of differentiation was not observed at expression of differentiation marker, 2) Decrease in expression of extracelluar matrix and in bone nodule formation was observed The results suggested that DFPR have negative effect on the rate of differentiation on rat calvarial cell, decrease extracelluar matrix formation ,decrease bone nodule formation. Ongoing studies are necessary in order to determine effect of DFPR on periodontal regeneration.

2016 양계산업 경기가 매우 좋지 않을 것으로 예상되고 있다. 하지만 우리나라 양계산업을 지키고 미래를 밝혀줄 양계인들이 있기 때문에 희망적이라 하겠다. 종계분야에서 당당히 기존 농가들과 어깨를 나란히 하며 미래의 꿈을 펼쳐가는 후계자가 있어 찾아보았다. 충남 부여군 홍산면 산천리에 위치해 있는 '기련축산' 윤범기 대표(35)가 그 주인공이다. 윤범기 대표는 어렸을 때부터 부친이 경영하는 양계장을 도와가며 양계를 단계적으로 배워온 것이 현재 농장경영의 밑걸음이 되었다. 제삼부화장과 보령축산을 이끌어 온 윤성희 대표의 아들이기도 한 윤범기 대표는 부친의 '날카로운 판단력과 추진력'을 평소 보아오며 자랐고, 부친과 성격은 다르지만 본인의 '차분함과 침착함'을 겸비해 미래의 종계업을 그려가고 있다.
