Purpose: Reconstruction of eyebrow defects after wide excision of the benign and malignant tumors present a cosmetic challenge to the plastic surgeon. There were several methods for reconstruction of partial eyebrow defect with local flaps except hair bearing composite graft. We introduce simple eyebrow reconstruction with bilateral advancement flap and tattooing on the idea that eyebrow tattooing is popular permanent eyebrow makeup among elderly Korean women. Methods: The flaps were designed on both ends of the eyebrow defect along the upper and lower margin of the eyebrow. Both flaps were cut, undermined and were moved centrally to cover the defect. Both flaps were attached along the vertical suturing line. The rest of each flap was sown with dog-ears revised minimally. Scar lines would be hidden along the natural borders of the eyebrow if possible. The resulting vertical scar finally was covered with hair. After 8 months, eyebrow tattooing would be done to camouflage eyebrow shortening and scar. Results: Partial eyebrow defect was reconstructed successfully with bilateral advancement flap and tattooing. The postoperative scar was inconspicuous and eyebrow looked symmetric. Conclusion: We recommend partial eyebrow reconstruction with bilateral advancement flap and tattooing for the elderly Korean female patients after excision of small tumor in and around eyebrow region.(J Korean Cleft Palate Craniofac Assoc 11: 37, 2010)

N/A Experimental studies have been made on the isothermal fixed-bed adsorption of benzene, toluene and p-xylene vapors, and their binary and ternary mixtures on activated carbon. From the breakthrough curve analysis, the equilibrium relationships for pure-, binary- and ternary-adsorption on activated carbon were obtained at 30℃. It was found that the adsorption equilibria of aromatic VOCs on activated carbon can be expressed by the Freundlich equation and the adsorbed solution theory. Also, the experimental breakthrough curves can be predicted by the mathematical model with the linear driving force (LDF) approximation for intraparticle diffusion.
Binocular Vision Corrective Spectacle Lenses Reduce Visual Fatigue in 3-D Television Viewing

Three-dimensional (3D) displays are very useful in many fields, but induce physical discomforts insome people. This study is to assess symptom type and severity of asthenopia with their habitual distancecorrective spectacle (HDCS) and their binocular vision corrective spectacle lenses (BVCSL) in people who feelphysical discomforts. Methods: 35 adult subjects (ages 32.2±4.4 yrs) were pre-screened out of 98 individuals tohave the highest symptom/asthenopia scores following 65 minutes of 3D television viewing with HDCS. These35 individuals were then retested symptom/asthenopia scores during they watched 3D television for 65 minutes ata distance of 2.7 m with wearing BVCSL of horizontal, vertical or base down yoked prisms. A 4-point symptomratingscale questionnaire (0=no symptom and 3=severe) was used to assess 11 symptoms (e.g., blur, diplopia,etc.) related to visual fatigue/visual discomfort. Distance and near lateral phoria were measured using Howellphoria card and vertical phoria were measured using Maddox rod. Symptoms induced by watching 3D TV werecompared between wearing HDCS and BVCSL. Results: Asthenopia in watching 3D TV with wearing BVCSwas significantly lower than wearing HDCS at 5, 25, 45, and 65 minutes (all p < 0.001, paired t-tests). In onlyrefractive error power correction power group, all asthenopia was not significantly different between HDCS andBVCSL (all p ≥ 0.05, paired t-tests). In prism correction groups for binocular imbalance, symptoms of asthenopia,however, was significantly lower for when wearing BVCSL than when wearing HDCS (all p < 0.05). Conclusions:Correction of phoria/vergence-based binocular vision imbalance can reduce asthenopia during 3D television viewing. An individual with binocular vision imbalance need corrected/compensated glasses with appropriate prisms prior toprolonged viewing of 3D television displays to reduce asthenopia/visual fatigue.
영‧유아의 직업인지 분석을 통한 CCKJE(Coloring Cloth Kit for Job Experience) 디자인 개발

Background Play learning combining role experience play and art activity experience will improve the job awareness of infants and young children. In addition, it will be able to increase the understanding of social and emotional development and occupation. Therefore, this study aims to design a clothing coloring kit for job experience as part of an art activity experience program for role experience play. Methods First, theoretical concepts are loaded through theoretical considerations and previous research searches. Second, for design development, the preferred occupational group of infants and young children is surveyed through a survey. For infants' and young children's understanding of the survey, illustrations were created for each job, and the survey was conducted under the guidance of a kindergarten teacher. Third, based on the results of the survey on the preferred occupational group, the concept of the coloring kit for job experience is set, and then the design is designed. Fourth, by producing a prototype, it is confirmed whether job awareness has increased through frequency analysis in infants and young children. Result It has been recorded that infants and toddlers are aware of their occupations through broadcasting media and their parents' occupations. As a result of the job awareness survey, it was recorded that they were aware of the job, but did not know the characteristics and roles of the job. As a result of the survey on the reasons for choosing the desired job, it was recorded that most respondents had positive experiences during their past job experience. As a result of the survey on preferred activities in daycare centers and kindergartens, it was recorded that infants and young children preferred art activities the most. Conclusion As a result of the frequency analysis of CCKJE design effects, it was recorded that infants and young children's job awareness improved due to art activities and job experience play through CCKJE. It is expected that CCKJE can contribute to job recognition when conducting job-related education for infants and young children. 연구배경 역할체험놀이와 미술활동체험을 결합한 놀이학습은 영‧유아의 직업인식을 향상시킬 수 있을 것이다. 또한 사회 및 정서 발달과 직업에 관한 이해도를 상승시킬 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 역할체험놀이를 위한 미술활동체험 프로그램의 일환으로 직업체험용 옷 색칠키트를 디자인하는 것이 목적이다. 연구방법 첫째, 이론적 고찰 및 선행연구 탐색을 통해 이론적 개념을 탑재한다. 둘째, 디자인 개발을 위해 영‧유아의 선호 직업군을 설문조사를 통해 조사한다. 영‧유아들의 설문 이해도를 위해 직업마다 일러스트를 제작하였고 유치원 선생님 지도하에 설문조사를 실시한다. 셋째, 선호 직업군 조사 결과를 근거로 직업체험용 옷 색칠 키트 콘셉트를 설정 후 디자인을 진행한다. 넷째, 프로토타입을 제작하여 영‧유아들에게 빈도분석으로 직업인식이 상승되었는지 확인한다. 연구결과 방송 매체 및 부모님의 직업을 통해 영‧유아가 직업인지를 하는 것으로 기록되었다. 직업 인지 여부 조사 결과, 직업에 관하여 인지는 하고 있으나 직업의 특징 및 역할에 관하여 모르는 것으로 기록되었다. 희망 직업 선택 이유 조사 결과, 과거 직업체험시 긍정적 경험이 대다수를 차지한 것으로 기록되었다. 어린이집 및 유치원 선호 활동 조사 결과, 영‧유아는 미술활동을 가장 선호하는 것으로 기록되었다. 결론 CCKJE 디자인 효과 빈도분석 검증 결과, 영‧유아는 CCKJE를 통한 미술활동 및 직업체험 놀이로 인하여 직업인식이 향상된 것으로 기록되었다. 영‧유아 직업 관련 교육을 진행할 때 CCKJE가 직업인식에 관하여 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
도시형소공인 창업 및 지속성장을 위한 지원정책에관한 연구: 문래 기계․금속 집적지를 중심으로

[Purpose] The purpose of this study is to contribute to the development of the MMEs in charge of the nation’s basic industry by presenting cases of technology start-ups and policy suggestions for overcoming technology break crisis and maintaining sustainable growth through case studies on MMEs Support Policies. [Methodology] This study conducted a survey of 382 beneficiary companies of the Mullrae MMEs Specialized Support Center, which operated the Urban MMEs Support Project for the first time and the results were verified and analyzed through technical statistical analysis, frequency analysis and cross-section, etc. and case studies. [Findings] The study suggested (tailored) ways to support and nurture MMEs. First, among the development strategy of type stage presented by the Ministry or SMEs and Start-ups, stage is suggested that is suitable for the Mullae Mechane․Metals. Second, it introduced as a prototype production collaboration model and collaborative technology creation in step with Mullae Mechane․Metals’ core vision of a mid- to long-term development road map, ‘Transition to global prototyping sites.’ Third, it proposed supporting policies such as cooperative business sites, MMEs manufacturing technology innovation centers, and professional coordinator companies to enhance the competitiveness of the production infrastructure of the naturally formed Mullae Mechane․Metals. [Implications] Through these findings, we hope to contribute to the active development of research on the MMEs. As for practical implications, the center suggested the collaborative technology start-ups and proposed policies to enhance the competitiveness of MMEs. It aims to provide a theoretical background in the study of the entrepreneurship of MME sector in the future. [연구목적] 소공인의 지원정책에 대한 사례연구를 통하여 기술단절 위기 및 지속성장을위한 기술창업사례와 정책제언을 제시하여 국가의 기반산업을 담당하고 있는 소공인의발전에 기여하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다. [연구방법] 본 연구는 도시형소공인 지원 사업을 최초로 운영한 문래지원센터의 수혜기업 382개사를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여, 그 결과를 기술통계분석, 빈도분석, 교차분석 등을 통하여 실증분석과 사례연구를 하였다. [연구결과] 이 연구를 통해 (맞춤형) 소공인 지원 및 육성방안을 제시하였다. 첫째, 중소벤처기업부의 ‘소공인 경쟁력 강화 방안’에서 제시한 유형 단계별 육성 전략 중 문래동집적지에 맞는 유형을 제시하였다. 둘째, 문래머시닝밸리의 중장기 발전로드맵의 핵심 비전인 ‘세계적인 시제품 제작 집적지로의 전환’과 보조를 맞추어 협업에 의한 새로운 기술창업 모델을 제시하였다. 셋째, 자연발생적으로 형성된 문래동 집적지의 생산인프라 경쟁력을 향상시키기 위하여 협동화사업장, 소공인 제조기술혁신센터, 전문코디네이터 기업등의 지원정책을 제언하였다. [연구의 시사점] 이러한 연구결과를 통하여 소공인 분야의 미미한 연구 자료에 기초가되어 소공인에 대한 연구가 활발하게 이루어지는데 기여할 수 있기를 바라며, 실무적 시사점으로는 소공인의 경쟁력 제고를 위한 협업기술창업 및 정책제언을 하였다. 향후 소공인 분야의 기업가정신을 연구하는데 있어서 이론적 배경을 제공하는 기틀이 되고자 한다.
