        Background and Objective: It is very hard for hemodialysis patient to compliance the self-care. This study was to identify the relationship between self-esteem, social support and self-care compliance in the hemodialysis patients. Materials and Method: The subjects were 102 patients on the hemodialysis unit in Kwangju. The data was collected through the use of questionnaire from Feb. 22 to Mar. 15, 1999. The instruments used for this study were the Rosenberg' s self-esteem scale, the social support scale by Kim and the self-care compliance scale developed by the researcher. The data was analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearsori s correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression analysis with the SPSS PC+ program. Results: 1. There was no significant correlation between selfesteem and self-care compliance(r= .053, p= .61). 2. There was significant correlation between social support and self-care compliance(r= .241 p= .02). 3. The regression analysis showed that the duration of hemodialysis, social support, sex were significantly predictive of the self-care compliance of hemodialysis patients. These three variables explained 30.5% of the variance in self-care. Conclusion: There was significant correlation between social support and self-care compliance.

        운동행동의 단계적 변화모형(TTM)에 대한 이론적 고찰

        This article reviewed the transtheoretical model which has been frequently applying to explain physical activity in exercise, and discussed a series of validation study of measurement tools, cross-sectional study, and intervention study which are divided as the characteristics of research methods applied in the previous studies. The paper suggests several considerations when preparing transtheoretical model based on the previous studies. Finally, there is a need for future research of similarities and differences in the relationship between exercise behaviors and sociocultural variables across Korean and Western sample. This cross-cultural research may facilitate the possibility of universal application of the social-cognitive theory in exercise and physical activity.

        한일간 셔틀 운항 선박의 해사노동협약 선원휴식시간 규정 만족을 위한 연구

        2013년 8월 20일 해사노동협약이 국제적으로 발효되면서 휴식시간의 실제적인 이행 여부를 항만국통제에서 점검하게 되었다. 한일 간 셔틀 운항을 하는 선박은 항해시간이 짧고 입항 항구수가 많아 해사노동협약이나 우리나라 선원법에서 정하고 있는 선원휴식시간을 준수 하지 못하는 경우가 발생하고 있으며, 이는 선박의 운항에 큰 지장을 초래할 수 있는 사항이 되었다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 선박들에서 휴식 시간 규정을 준수할 수 있는 방안을 찾기 위해 항해사들의 당직모델을 여러 가지로 변경하거나 정박당직을 육상직원으로 대체하는 방안 등을 검토하였다. 한일간 셔틀 운항 선박이 휴식시간 규정을 만족하기 위해서는 입항 항구 수의 축소 또는 정박당직의 육상직원 대체와 같은 방안 의 복합적인 적용이 필요한 것으로 연구되었다. The actual observance of hours of rest became one of the main checking items of PSC after enter into force of Maritime Labour Convention in 20 August 2013. And the non-compliances of the rest hours stipulated in the provisions of Seafare's Act of Korea and MLC is occuring and this would be the great obstruction for the shuttle vessels operating between Korea and Japan. In this study, to find the method which could give solution for the observance of provisions of rest hours, the modified duty model, reduction of calling ports and substitute of port duty by shore assistance personnel were reviewed. To comply with the requirement of hours of rest by shuttle vessels operating between Korea and Japan, adoption of the method to reduce calling ports or substitution of port duty by shore personnel are recommended.

        신장실 간호사의 전문직 자아개념, 자기효능감과 직무만족도에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to explain the relationship of professional self-concept, self-efficacy and job satisfaction among nephrology nurses. The subject consisted of 84 nephrology nurses who work at 17 hospitals in Kwangju, Chonnam, Chonbuk and Cheju-do. The instrument of this study was a structured questionnaire on professional self-concept, self-efficacy and job satisfaction. The data were collected from August 16 to September 10. 1999 and analyzed by Cronbach alpha, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheff'e's test and Pearson's correlation coefficient by using the SPSS/PC + program. The results of the research were as follows : 1. The average item scores were 2.73 for professional self-concept and 7.16 for self-efficacy. The average item score of job satisfaction was 3.05. Professional status (3.56) among the component factors of the job satisfaction had the highest value followed by the interaction(3.46), task requirements(3.28), autonomy(2.98), organizational requirement(2.70), and pay(2.22) was the lowest. 2. The relationship between general character istics and professional self-concept shows a significant difference with regard to position and the nurses' intention to stay. The relationship between general chararteristics and self-efficacy shows a significant difference with regard to position and shift. 3. A significant positive correlation between professional self-concept and self-efficacy (r=0.462, p<0.01) was found. A significant positive correlation between professional self-concept and job satisfaction(r=0.486, p<0.01) was found. In conclusion, professional self-concept and job satisfaction of nephrology nurses are significantly related. A professional self-concept is an important factor for job satisfaction of nephrology nurses. Therefore, this study suggested that we should develop programs and policies to increase the professional self-concept of nephrology nurses for their job satisfaction.

      • 군 체력요인에 관한 기초 연구

        The importance of physical fitness in the military is unquestionable. There is limited scientific knowledge, however, as to which components of fitness are most important and how they should be measured. The purpose of this paper is to identify criterion military task performance and to determine which fitness components are required to perform these tasks, in additional, to provide analysis of fitness assessment methods performed in the military. The criterion tasks which are represented in common military were identified as single lift, repetitive lift, carry, and loaded march. The fitness components related to the representative military task performance were included as aerobic and anaerobic capacities, muscular strength and endurance, and body composition. It was one of significant results that muscular strength and endurance are important for criterion military task performance as well as aerobic capacity. Performance of physically demanding military tasks has high correlation with the absolute measures of physical performance while a fitness test is rather related to relative one. Therefore, there exist body mass bias that shows the tendency to reward the better performers on the fitness test in the military and penalize the better performers of physically demanding military tasks. Fitness test in the military should consider body mass bias and lean body mass.
