Shift of Phylogenic Position in Megalocytiviruses Based on Three Different Genes

Major capsid protein (MCP), the adenosine triphosphatase (ATPase), and the PstI fragment genes from five Japanese and three Korean megalocytivirus isolates were sequenced and phylogenetically analyzed with known megalocytiviruses. Phylogenetic trees formed three major clusters (M1, M2, and M3 or P1, P2, and P3), and genogroup I was divided into two minor clusters (M1a/M1b and P1a/P1b) using three target genes. Sequence identity was >97% within each cluster, except cluster II of the PstI fragment (>94% of sequence identity). Interestingly, different genotyping patterns were observed for the same isolates depending on the gene analyzed. The JPN-YelTail and JPN-BfTuna isolates located in the minor M1a cluster, based on MCP and ATPase nucleotide sequences, appeared in the minor P1b cluster based on the PstI fragment, suggesting a shift of phylogenic position in megalocytiviruses. Further study will be conducted to compare the viral antigenicity and pathogenicity between the two isolates showing the shift of phylogenic position and the other isolates clustered within genogroup I.

Vibrio vulnificus ghosts (VVG) were generated using a mobilizable vector including a thermosensitive expression cassette by conjugation. The vaccine potential of VVG was investigated in mouse. Mice immunized with VVG showed significantly higher antibody titer than those with formalin-killed V. vulnificus. The present study supports the conceptive usefulness of bacterial ghosts as vaccine candidates.
융,복합형 공간개념을 적용한 국내은행의 오픈 오피스에 관한 연구

(연구배경 및 목적)정보통신망 발달은 우리 생활에 많은 변화를 가져 왔다. 다양한 욕구와 빠른 소비 패턴으로 기업은 고객의 욕구를 충족시킬만한 혁신적인 기술, 서비스 공간이 요구 된다. 따라서 본 연구는 금융 기업영업점의 오픈 오피스 공간을 분석하여 단순한 금융 업무 외에, 현 시대에 맞는 효율적인 융·복합형 오픈 오피스 공간 활용방향에 관해 모색하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 한다. (연구방법)본 연구는 참고 문헌 고찰을 통하여 융·복합 개념을 정의하고, 웹사이트 및 점포방문 조사를 통한 K은행의 오픈 오피스 공간 사례를 도출하여, 그 결과를 토대로 융·복합 개념을 적용한 콘셉트를 분석한 후, 오픈 오피스 공간 활용 방향을 모색하고자 한다. (결과)대부분의 오프라인 점포는 서비스 마케팅이나 디지털 마케팅 측면의 융·복합으로 점점 확대 발전하는 것을 볼 수 있다. 향후 오프라인 점포에도 공간개념의 융·복합을 도입, 적극 반영함으로써 축소되어지는 공간이 아니라 어디서나 필요한 공간으로 확대되어 질수 있는 적극적인 오픈 오피스의 활용방안의 연구는 지속되어야 할 것이다. (Background and Purpose)The development of information and communication networks has brought about many changes in our lives. Companies need innovative technology and sufficient space to serve their customers, who have various needs and consumption patterns. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to seek direction for effectively fusing open office space suitable for the present age with the work to be performed in the business branches of a financial company. (Method) In this study, the fusion·combination concept has been defined through the review of references, especially regarding open office space at K Bank; relevant information for analysis and design of future office space was obtained through the bank’s website and from an on-site survey. (Result) Most offline stores will gradually expand; thus, the convergence and fusion of service marketing and digital marketing will often result. Businesses must have plans to expand in terms of space, as convergence and fusion do not mean shrinkage. Further studies should be undertaken regarding the active utilization of open office space.
중국에서 수입된 잉어 및 붕어의 잉어부종바이러스병 및 허피스바이러스성 조혈기괴사증 모니터링

In this study, carp edemavirus disease and herpesviral hematopoietic necrosis were examined in carp (Cyprinus carpio) and crucian carp (Carassius auratus) imported from China. From August 2016 to May 2017, 100 carp and 300 crucian carp were examined. There were no clinical symptoms in all the tested fish, and no internal or external parasitic infections were identified except for the detection of Argulus sp. in one leather carp. Carp edema virus disease was examined by PCR in C. carpio, but all were negative. In C. auratus, herpesviral hematopoietic necrosis was tested by PCR and 4 out of 300 were positive. The results of this study are expected to be useful as basic data for conducting risk analysis on the relevant organisms and counterpart countries or for designating new pathogens for quarantine.
미꾸라지, Misgurnus mizolepis의 지느러미에 기생한 포자충, Thelohanellus misgurni (Kudo, 1919)에 관하여

2010년 9월에 서해안 지역에서 양식중인 미꾸라지 중 체표와 꼬리지느러미에 직경 약 2 mm 크기의 유백색 포낭이 여러 개가 형성되어 상품으로 보기 흉한 미꾸라지 1미를 발견하여 포낭을 조사한 바, 점액포자충, Thelohanellus misgurni (Kudo, 1919)의 기생에 의한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 가슴지느러미 기부와 꼬리지느러미에 다량의 포낭이 형성됨으로써 지느러미의 기능을 할 수 없기 때문에 병어는 점차 쇠약해져서 폐사될 것으로 사료된다. On September in 2010, myxosporidian parasites were found on the fins of Chinese muddy loach, Misgurnus mizolepis. Several cysts of approximately 2 mm diameter were observed on the fins. Numerous spores were found in the cyst. The total length of the spore was 13.0 to 15.8 ㎛, and the width of spore was 6.0 to 7.5 ㎛. As the results, the myxosporidians were finally identified as Thelohanellus misgurni (Kudo, 1919) on the basis of the presence of characteristic cysts and size of spores.

Effect of iron on the extracellular proteolytic activity of live Uronema marium was determined by fluorescence polarization (FP) method. Supplementation of 0.5 and 5.0 μM iron significantly increased caseinolytic activity of live U. marinum. In contrast, supplementation of 50 μM iron showed no significant differences in FP values compared to the control. The present result suggests that iron in cultured water or skin tissue of olive flounder may influence on the penetration and establishment of U. marinum, correlating with modulation of extracellular protease activity of the ciliates.
양식 넙치에 기생하는 Ichthyobodo sp. 에 대한 Formalin , Bronopol 및 Bithionol 의 치료 효과

본 연구에서는 bronopol과 bithionol을 이용하여 양식 넙치에 기생하는 Ichthyobodo sp.의 치료효과를 조사하였으며, 그 효과를 formalin과 비교하였다. formalin 200 ppm 혹은 bithionol 100 ppm에서 1 시간동안 약욕한 결과 모든 실험어에서 100% 치료효과를 나타내었으며, 이보다 더 낮은 농도(formalin 50 ppm, 100 ppm 및 bithionol 25 ppm, 50 ppm)에서의 약욕에 의해서도 Ichthyobodo sp.의 감염강도를 유의적으로 감소시켰다. 그러나 bronopol을 이용한 약욕 및 bithionol의 경구투여는 대조구에 비해 유의적인 치료효과를 나타내지 않았다. The effectiveness of bronopol and bithionol in treating Ichthyobodo sp. infestation in cultured olive flounder was investigated, and compared them with formalin. Bath with formalin at 200 ppm or bithionol at 100 ppm for 1 h showed complete removal of Ichthyobodo sp. from all the experimental fish. Baths with lower concentrations of formalin (50 and 100 ppm) or bithionol (25 and 50 ppm) significantly reduced infection intensities of Ichthyobodo sp. On the other hand, baths with bronopol or intubation of bithionol at various concentrations were not effective against Ichthyobodo sp. infestation.

The respiratory burst activity of tilapia (Oreochromis mosambicus) phagocytes agaisnt Edwardsiella tarda ghosts produced by gene E mediated lysis was investigated. Stimulation with E. tarda ghosts (ETG) showed markedly higher respiratory burst activity than that with formalin killed E. tarda (FKC) in phagocytes. This result may suggest that ETG can induce effective cellular immune responses in fish.
