        쌀겨오일의 안티폴루션 화장품 소재로써의 응용

        미세먼지와 초미세먼지는 일반적으로 사람 머리카락의 두께에 비하여 각각 1/6 ~ 1/7, 1/20 ~ 1/30 정도로 매우 작은 부유성 먼지를 뜻하며, 다양한 종류의 중금속 이온이 내포되어 있다. 호흡뿐 아니라 피부의 모공 틈새를 통해서 유입된 미세먼지는 체내 조직과 피부 건강에 문제를 유발할 수 있기 때문에 유입을 막거나 깨끗이 씻어내어 제거해야 한다. 본 연구를 통해 Oryza sativa (Rice) bran oil (OSBO, 쌀겨오일)을 이용하면 중금속 이온을 흡착하여 제거할 수 있을 것이라는 가능성을 확인하였다. 또한, 세포독성 실험을 통해 세포 생존율이 곡물 유래 성분과 비교했을 때에도 월등히 높아 외부 자극원에 대한 세포 보호 효과를 기대할 수 있다. COL1A1 mRNA의 발현량이 높아짐을 확인하였고, 이에 따라 미세먼지 속 중금속 이온에 의해 손실된 수분으로 유발될 수 있는 주름을 완화할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 이러한 실험 결과를 바탕으로 최종적으로 중금속 제거를 위한 워시-오프 제형의 OSBO 함유 화장품을 제시하고자 하였다. Particulate matter and ultra-particle matters generally refer to very small floating dust, such as 1/6 to 1/7 and 1/20 to 1/30, respectively, compared to the thickness of human hair, and contain various types of heavy metal ions. In addition to breathing, particle matters (PM) that flows in through the gaps in the pores of the skin can induce health problems in the body's tissues and skin, so it must be removed by blocking the inflow or by washing. Through this study, we confirmed the possibility that heavy metal ions can be adsorbed and removed by using Oryza sativa (Rice) bran oil (OSBO). In addition, the cell viability is much higher than that of grain-derived components through cytotoxicity experiments, and the cytoprotective effect of an external stimulus source can be expected. It was confirmed that the expression amount of COL1A1 mRNA increased, and accordingly, it was believed that wrinkles that might be caused by moisture lost by heavy metal ions in fine dust could be alleviated. Based on the results of these experiments, we tried to present a cosmetics containing OSBO, which is a wash-off formulation, in order to finally remove heavy metals.

        필라테스 운동과 서킷 운동이 정상성인의 폐기능과 배곧은근의 근두께에 미치는 영향

        Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of pilates exercise and circuit exercise on abdominal muscles and pulmonary function of normal adults. Method : This study was performed on 20 subjects. 20 subjects were divided into two groups; pilates exercise(n=10), circuit exercise(n=10). Both of the group performed the exercise 3 times a week for 5 weeks. The data was analyzed by the paired Will-coxon test for comparing before and after changes of factors in each group and the Mann-Whitney U test for comparing the between groups. Results : The result are as follows. On the pilates exercise group, there was significant difference on the amount of FEV 1 , VC but there was no significant difference on FVC, FEV 1 /FVC, PEF by comparing pulmonary function before and after. Also, there was no significant difference on thickness rectus abdominis. By comparing abdominal muscles thickness before and after. On the circuit exercise group, there was significant difference on the FVC, FEV 1 , PEF, VC but there was no significant difference on FEV 1 /FVC by comparing the pulmonary function before and after. And, there was no significant difference on thickness rectus adominis. By comparing abdominal muscles thickness before and after. By comparing between the two group, there was no significant difference on pulmonary function and thickness rectus abdominis. Conclusion : As a result of this study, we thought that pilates exercise and circuit exercise was more effective for increasing pulmonary function than muscle thickness of the abdominis.

        시각작업기억 처리 단계에 따른 주의 자원 활용 특성

        The comparison between supra-threshold visual working memory (VWM) representations and sensory inputs was reported to be rapid and automatic (Hyun et al., 2009). In the present study, we examined if engaging attention to a central memory task can impair detection of a peripheral pop-out change during VWM consolidation, maintenance, and recognition. In Experiment 1, the central memory task was a change detection task where subjects remembered colors of four boxes (sample array) and were asked to report presence or absence of a color change when another set of boxes (test array) showed up. They were also asked to detect a pop-out color change among a set of colored boxes displayed at periphery while the central task was being performed. The pop-out change among the peripheral boxes was manipulated to occur immediately after the sample array of the central task disappeared or during the middle of blank duration, or at the same time as when the test array appeared. In Experiment 2, we replaced the central memory task with a short-term recognition task in which a set of four numbers was presented simultaneously as a sample, and subjects were asked to determine whether the test number was in the sample array or not. The peripheral task was the same as in Experiment 1. Results of these experiments showed that detection of a peripheral change was impaired both when the change occurred immediately after the sample array offset, and when it occurred during the middle of the blank interval. However, this impairment was not observed when the change in the peripheral task occurred simultaneously as the test array appeared. The results indicate that consolidating and maintaining memory items in VWM are resource-demanding process and thus lacking extra capacity for automatic detection of a peripheral pop-out whereas the recognition of memory items is relatively free of such capacity-limitation 시각작업기억의 처리 과정에는 기억 표상이 형성되고 유지되는 과정 뿐 아니라 기억된 항목에 대한 재인과 관련된 비교 과정이 포함된다(Hyun, Woodman, Vogel et al., 2006). 본 연구에서는 시각작업기억 처리 단계에 따른 주의 자원의 활용 특성을 알아보기 위해 중심시야에 제시된 자극에 대한 작업기억 처리가 진행되는 가운데 주변시야에 시점을 달리하여 촉발된 감각적 변화에 대한 변화맹 현상 발생 여부를 조사하였다. 실험 1에서 피험자들은 시야의 중심에 제시된 네 개 항목들의 색상을 기억할 것을 요구받았다(중심과제). 기억항목들이 사라지고 약 1초 경과 후 사라진 기억항목들의 색상에 대한 재인을 요구하는 검사항목이 출현하였다. 피험자는 기억항목과 검사항목 간 색상 변화 유무를 보고하는 변화탐지과제를 수행하였다. 또한 개별 시행 내에서 피험자들은 중심과제를 수행하는 동시에, 시점을 달리하여 주변시야의 자극에 발생하는 색상 변화를 탐지하도록 요구 받았다(주변과제). 중심과제의 검사자극이 제시되면 피험자들은 중심과제와 주변과제에 대한 반응을 순차적으로 보고하였다. 실험 2는 4개의 숫자가 기억항목으로, 1개의 숫자가 검사항목으로 제시되는 변형된 Sternberg의 과제(1966)가 중심과제로 제시된 점을 제외하고는 실험 1과 동일하게 진행되었다. 실험 1과 2의 결과, 중심과제의 기억항목이 사라진 직후 또는 파지되고 있을 때에 비해 검사항목이 출현한 시점과 동시에 발생한 주변자극의 색상 변화에 대한 탐지 정확도가 상대적으로 높았다. 이러한 결과는 기억항목에 대한 표상을 형성하거나 유지하는 과정에 비해 기억항목을 검사항목과 비교하는 과정은, 주의 자원의 배분에 의한 선별적 처리에 의해 크게 영향을 받지 않으며 신속하고 효율적으로 처리될 가능성을 시사한다.

        Ancient Chinese Language is the basic knowledge for reading ancient documents and researching ancient chinese academic thoughts. That’s why courses for educating ancient Chinese language became essential ones for many academic fields like literature, history, philosophy, and so forth. They aim to make students not only learn the basic characteristic and related grammatical rules of ancient Chinese language but also succeed to and interpret Great Chinese culture by reading and researching ancient documents. Although each field like literature, history, philosophy and so on has different method of and emphasis on education, today’s general education of ancient Chinese language deepens students’ understanding of characters, words, paragraphs, and grammatical rules of ancient Chinese language. It also helps students to have in-depth perception about ancient Chinese culture by making them read and analyse ancient documents for themselves 古代汉语是阅读古代文献、研究中国古代学术思想的基础。因此,在中国“古代汉语”课程是文史哲各个专业的基础必修课程,它的设置除了培养学生熟悉了解中国古代汉语的基本特点及相关语法规律之外,更为主要的是希望借助它来阅读古文献、研究古文献,使中华文化得以传承、诠释与运用。尽管在文学、历史、哲学等专业,在古代汉语的教学重心上有所不同、教学方法各异,但他们在现实的古汉语教学中,一般都通过“文选”的形式进行,通过经典篇目的讲解与分析,让学生对文本中古代汉语字词、语句及语法有更加深入的理解,进而能够独立阅读、分析古代文献,从而对中国古代历史文化有更加深刻的认识。

        Virus-like Particle Vaccine Containing Toxoplasma gondii Rhoptry Protein 13 Induces Protection against T. gondii ME49 Infection in Mice

        Toxoplasma gondii can infect humans worldwide, causing serious diseases in pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals. T. gondii rhoptry protein 13 (ROP13) is known as one of the key proteins involved in host cell invasion. In this study, we generated virus-like particles (VLPs) vaccine expressing T. gondii rhoptry ROP13 and investigated VLPs vaccine efficacy in mice. Mice immunized with ROP13 VLPs vaccine elicited significantly higher levels of T. gondii-specific IgG, IgG1, IgG2a, and IgA antibody responses following boost immunization and challenge infection, whereas antibody inductions were insignificant upon prime immunization. Differing immunization routes resulted in differing antibody induction, as intranasal immunization (IN) induced greater antibody responses than intramuscular immunization (IM) after boost and challenge infection. IN immunization induced significantly higher levels of IgG and IgA antibody responses from feces, antibody-secreting cells (ASCs), CD4+ T, CD8+ T cells and germinal center B cell responses in the spleen compared to IM immunization. Compared to IM immunization, IN immunization resulted in significantly reduced cyst counts in the brain as well as lesser body weight loss, which contributed to better protection. All of the mice immunized through either route survived, whereas all naïve control mice perished. These results indicate that the ROP13 VLPs vaccine could be a potential vaccine candidate against T. gondii infection.

        The detection of Toxoplasma gondii ME49 infections in BALB/c mice using various techniques

        Toxoplasma gondii infections are primarily diagnosed by serological assays, whereas molecular and fluorescence-based techniques are garnering attention for their high sensitivity in detecting these infections. Nevertheless, each detection method has its limitations. The toxoplasmosis detection capabilities of most of the currently available methods have not been evaluated under identical experimental conditions. This study aimed to assess the diagnostic potential of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF) in BALB/c mice experimentally infected with various doses of T. gondii ME49. The detection of toxoplasmosis from sera and brain tissues was markedly enhanced in mice subjected to high infection doses (200 and 300 cysts) compared to those subjected to lower doses (10 and 50 cysts) for all the detection methods. Additionally, increased B1 gene expression levels and cyst sizes were observed in the brain tissues of the mice. Importantly, IHC, IF, and ELISA, but not RT-PCR, successfully detected T. gondii infections at the lowest infection dose (10 cysts) in the brain. These findings may prove beneficial while designing experimental methodologies for detecting T. gondii infections in mice.
