Characteristics of a downflow anaerobic packed bed reactor with raschig ring ceramics as a packing were measured and discussed for the basic evaluation of the process. A synthesized glucose substrate wastewater were used as a feed and process characteristics such as pH, biogas production, composition of produced gas, COD removal and VSS were measured with the hydraulic retention time (HRT) changing from 0.25 to 2 days. As a result, this type of reactor was applicable in continuous operation within the given HRT range and the transient period approaching the steady state was about 20 days. The content of methane in produced gas increase with HRT was always high above 50% enough to use as energy source. The COD removal efficiency increased gradually as HRT increased. The axial profile of VSS concentration in the reactor usually showed the maximum at the lower region and the minimum at the middle. The VSS concentration at the upper region and the exit appeared similarly. However, at 0.25 day of HRT, the VSS concentration of effluent became higher than that of the upper region. Therefore the optimum HRT of this reactor occurred about 0.5 day, at which the production of methane began to be just stabilized and loss of VSS and COD removal were resonable.

In this paper, we implement a digital holographic security card system that combines digital holographic memory using random phase encoded reference beams with electrical biometrics. Digitally encoded data including a document, a picture of face, and a fingerprint are recorded by multiplexing of holographic memory. A random phase mask encoding reference beams are used as a decoded key to protect illegal counterfeit. As a result, we can achieve a raw BER of 3.6×10-4 and shift selectivity of 4㎛ using the 2D random phase mask. Also, we develop a recording pattern and image processing which are suitable for a low cost reader without a position sensing photo-detector for real time data extraction and remove danger of fraud from unauthorized person by comparing the reconstructed holographic data with the live fingerprint data. 본 논문에서는 랜덤 위상 암호화된 기준빔을 이용한 광 보안 기술과 생체 인식기술을 접목시킨 새로운 디지털 홀로그래픽 보안 시스템을 제안하고 구현하였다. 일반적인 광보안 시스템의 암호화된 아날로그 영상이 아닌 지문 및 얼굴사진, 문서 정보 등을 포함하는 디지털 정보가 홀로그래픽 메모리의 다중화 기술에 의해 저장되었다. 랜덤 위상 마스크는 기준빔을 암호화하여 불법 복제를 방지하는 복호화 키로 사용되었고, 64×64 크기를 갖는 2차원 위상 마스크를 통해 3.6×10-4의 Raw BER과 4㎛의 매우 높은 위치 선택도를 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 실시간 정보 추출을 위해 위치 제어 센서가 필요 없는 저가의 판독기 구현에 적합한 기록패턴과 영상 신호처리를 개발 하였으며, 홀로그램 지문 정보와 사용자의 지문 정보를 비교 검증함으로서 타인에 의한 불법 도용의 위험성을 제거하였다.

This study was designed to investigate the effect of Gibson's smile exercise. The author took the smile photographs of 35 university students who appeared unnatural smiles though they had good dentition or well restored state of their teeth. The author explained Gibson's smile exercise and they trained their perioral muscles during 4 weeks at home. The smile photographs were taken at regular intervals, before the smile exercise, 2 weeks after and 4 weeks after the smile exercise. And then, esthetic smile scores were estimated by 10 appraisers who were dentists. Some questionares were taken aftersmile exercise. And acquired scores were analized statistically using the SPSS program. The results obtained were as follows. 1. The smile scores of 2 weeks after and 4 weeks after the smile exercise were higher than before the smile exercise. 2. The smile scores of 4 weeks after the smile exercise were higher than 2 weeks after the smile exercise. 3. The smile scores of the group interested in smiles were higher than the group not interested in smiles at 2 weeks after and 4 weeks after the smile exercise, but before the smile exercise there was no difference between two groups.
毛髮 爪甲 및 牛角에 培養한 白癬菌의 菌學的 性狀에 關한 硏究

There are many reports concerning the behaviors and morphological characteristics of the dermatophytes, the keratinophylic fungi, grown on the hair. The nail and cow horn may be expected to have different morphological behaviors to the dermatophytes, but so far the morphological studies of the dermatophytes with the nail and cow horn were not seen in the literature. In this study, eight species of dermatophytes (Microsporum canis, M. gypseum, M. ferrugineum, Epidermophyton floccosum, Trichophyton rubrum, T. mentagrophytes var. granulosum, T. mentagrophytes var. interdigitale, and T. mentagrophytes var. asteroides) were cultured on the slices of cow horn and human nail which were maintained on the soil in the constant moisture, and the macrocsopic and microscopic characteristics were observed in comparison with those on the hair. 1) T. mentagrophytes var, asteroides was grown whitish and powderly on the hair, but other dermatophytes were grown arachnoid and gray or whitish gray. 2) M. ferrugineum was grown membranously in yellowish white hue on the slices of cow horn and human nail, however, E. floccosum was grown yellowish brown and buff, and T. mentagrophytes were grown whitish and fluffy. 3) Microconidia were developed in all species of dermatophytes grown on the horny materials. Macroconidea, however, were not found in T. mentagrophytes var. asteroides, and their shapes and degrees were varied greatly with defferent species. 5) Mycelial penetrance to cow horn was superficial in T. mentagrophytes var. asteroides but in other seven species of dermatophytes were observed deep in penetrance. 6) Mycelia of M. ferrugineum, T. mentagrophytes var. interdigitale, and T. mentagrophytes var. asteroides were grown parallel to the running of the gorny fibers; while in other dermatophytes vertical.

Low concentration (??10.16cm??) for boron diffusion was obtained by the diffusion into Si through poly·Si-SiO₂from CBD-BN (Chemical Vapor-Deposited Boron Nitride). Boron concentration distribution was defined by the two boundary diffusion model and any change of oxide layer originating this diffusion are not seen.
