천연 및 합성 제올라이트의 Triadimefon 흡, 탈착 특성

제올라이트의 농약 흡·탈착 특성을 살펴보기 위해 천연제올라이트(CLI_N), 석탄재로부터 합성된 Faujasite 제올라이트(FAU_F), 스코리아와 석탄재를 6:4의 비율로 하여 합성한 FAU와 Na-Pl이 혼합된 제올라이트[(FAU+Na-Pl)_SF], 폐 유동층 촉매 분해반응촉매(FCC_W) 등을 이용하여 골프장에 살포되고 있는 triazole류 살균제인 triadimefon에 대해 각 제올라이트와 triadimefon 상호간의 흡·탈착, triadimefon 흡착에 미치는 용액의 pH, 온도 영향 등에 대하여 검토하였다. 제올라이트 종류에 따른 triadimefon의 분배계수 K_D 및 Freundlich 흡착상수인 K_F는 FCC_W>FAU_F>(FAU+Na-Pl)_SF>CLI_N의 순으로 감소하였다. 천연 제올라이트인 CLI_N에 흡착된 triadimefon은 4회 연속적인 탈착실험 동안 쉽게 탈착이 일어나 탈착등온선이 흡착등온선에 접근하였으나, 합성 제올라이트의 경우 탈착되는 triadimefon의 양이 매우 적어 흡착등온선과 크게 벗어나는 이력현상을 보였다. 또한 이력현상은 농약의 농도가 감소할수록, 그리고 triadimefon에 대한 흡착능이 큰 제올라이트일수록 증가하였다. Adsorption-desorption characteristics of triadimefon(pesticide) by natural zeolite(CLI_N) and several synthetic zeolites was investigated. The synthetic zeolites used in this study were as follows: Faujasite(FAU_S) synthesized from coal fly ash; the mixture of FAU and Na-Pl synthesized from the ratio of Jeju scoria 6 to coal fly ash 4 by weight (FAU+Na-Pl)_SF; waste fluid catalytic cracking catalyst(FCC_W). The distribution coefficient, K_D and Freundlich constant, K_F decreased in the following sequences: FCC_W>FAU_F>(FAU+Na-Pl)_SF>CLI_N among the zeolites. The desorption characteristics of triadimefon adsorbed on zeolites was greatly different among natural and synthetic zeolites, i.e., the desorption of triadimefon occurred easily during four successive desorption cycles for natural zeolite CLI_N, however, for synthetic zeolites, it leaded to poorly defined desorption isotherms with very small triadimefon concentrations desorbed, greatly deviated from the adsorption isotherms, indicating the severe hysterisis. The hysterisis was more evident in more adsorptive zeolites and at lower triadimefon concentrations.
석탄회로 합성한 제올라이트에 의한 Sr(Ⅱ) 및 Cs(Ⅰ) 이온의 제거 특성

The adsorption behaviors of strontium and cesium ions on fly ash, natural zeolites, and zeolites synthesized from fly ash were investigated. The zeolites synthesized from fly ash had greater adsorption capabilities for strontium and cesium ions than the original fly ash and natural zeolites. The maximum adsorption capacity of synthetic zeolite for strontium and cesium ions was 100 and 154 ㎎/g, respectively. It was found that the Freundlich isotherm model could fit the adsorption isotherm. The distribution coefficients (K_(d)) for strontium and cesium ions were also calculated from the adsorption isotherm data. The distribution coefficients decreased with increasing equilibrium concentration of strontium and cesium ions in solution. By studying the removal of cesium and strontium ions in the presence of calcium. magnesium, sodium. potassium. sulfate, nitrate, nitrite, and EDTA (in the range of 0.01 - 5 mM) it was found that these coexistence ions competed for the same adsorption sites with strontium and cesium ions.
황토로부터 합성한 제올라이트에 의한 Cd(Ⅱ) 및 Cu(Ⅱ) 흡착특성

Various kinds of zeolites, such as analcime (ANA), cancrinite (CAN), Na-P1 and sodalite octahydrate (SOD) could be synthesized from Hwangto by hydrothermal reaction in a high-pressure vessel. The adsorption characteristics of Cu(Ⅱ) and Cd(Ⅱ) by Hwangto and its synthetic zeolites were investigated using the chemical and electrochemical surface parameters of these adsorbents. The heavy metal adsorptivity among the adsorbents decreased in the following sequences: Na-P1 > SOD > ANA > CAN > Hwangto. This sequence was the same with the values of surface site density (Ns) of these adsorbents and was correlated inversely with the values of pHpzc (pH of the point of zero charge) and the values of Ka2(int) (intrinsic surface deprotonation constant) of the adsorbents for synthetic zeolites, i.e., the adsorbents with higher values of Ns and with lower values of pHpzc and Ka₂(int) for synthetic zeolites showed higher heavy metal adsorptivity. With increasing pH, the heavy metal adsorptivity increased greatly between pHpzc and pH 6 or 7 because of the steep increase of negatively charged sites for synthetic zeolites, but for Hwangto, it increased broadly because of slow increase of negatively charged sites based on its lower surface sites.
활성탄/플리우레탄 복합담체를 충전한 바이오필터에서 H₂S의 제거특성

A biofiltration system using activated carbon/polyurethane composite as solid support inoculated with Bacillus sp. was developed for treating a gaseous stream containing high concentrations of H₂S. The effects of operating condition such as the influent H₂S concentration and the empty bed contact time (EBCT) on the removal efficiency of H₂S were investigated. The biofilter showed the stable removal efficiencies of over 99 % under the EBCT range from 15 to 60 sec at the 300 ppmv of H₂S inlet concentration. When the inlet concentration of H₂S was increased, the removal efficiencies decreased, reaching 95 and 74%, at EBCTs of 10 and 7.5 sec, respectively. The maximum elimination capacity in the biofilter packed with activated carbon/polyurethane composite media was 157 g/m³/hr.
천연 제올라이트에 의한 Phosphamidon 및 Fenitrothion의 흡착 특성

The adsorption characteristics of phosphorus insecticides(phosphamidon and fenitrothion) used in large amounts in golf course in natural zeolite(clinoptilolite) was investigated. The distribution coefficient, K_D and Freundlich constant, K_F, were higher for fenitrothion than those for phosphamidon, i.e., fenitrothion with the higher octanol-water partition coefficient(K_OW) was adsorbed the more on natural zeolite. The pesticide amount per unit mass of natural zeolite, decreased with increasing temperature but independent of pH, regardless of pesticides used in this study.
천연 제올라이트의 1가 금속 이온 제거능에 대한 전처리 효과

The three domestic natural zeolites (Yong dong-ri (Y). Daesin-ri (D). Seogdong-ri (S)) harvested in Kyeongju-shi and Pohang-shi. Kyungsangbug-Do, were pretreated with each of the NaOH, Ca(OH)2 and NaOH following HCI solutions, and the effect of pretreatment of natural zeolites on the removal Performances of monovalent metal ions (Cs+, Rb+ and Ag+) was investigated in the single and mixed solutions. In the single metal ion solution, the removal performances of metal ions were improved greatly by the pretreatment of natural zeolites and decreased in the following sequences : Pretreatment of NaOH> pretreatment of NaOH following HCI>pretreatment of Ca(OH)2 among the pretreatment methods ; D>Y>S among the natural zeolites: Cs+>Rb+>Ag+among the metal ions. The heavy metal ion exchange capacity by natural and pretreated zeolites was described either by Freundlich equation or Langmuir equation. but it followed the iormer better than the latter. In the mixed metal ion solution. the uptakes by natural and pretreated zeolites decreased. in comparing with those in the single metal ion solution, but the pretreated zeolites showed the improved removal performances of metal ions in the mixed solution than in the single solution. The metal ion uptakes by pretreated zeolites in the mixed solution showed the same trends in the sing1e solution among the pretreatment methods and metal ions.
