Necrosis of skin or soft tissue of the posterior heel is mainly due to trauma or regional vascular insurfficiency. It enhances the risk of exposure of the Achilles tendon and durable coverage must urgently be obtained to preserve tendon function. And its reconstruction has been difficult problem. However, during the last decade, with a better understanding of the vascular anatomy of the leg and th development of microsurgical technique, many surgical methods were developed for the reconstruction of such defects. We have experienced the coverage of the soft tissue defects by using lateral supramalleolar flap, lateral calcaneal artery skin slap, medial plantar fasciocutaneous island flap and latissimus dorsi muscle free flap with skin graft and obtained favorable result.

Liquid-fuel which is injected into a hot and highly pressurized combustor undergoes atomization, preheating, evaporation, ignition, and combustion. In this study these processes are numerically simulated including internal convection and density variation of the external free stream with the global second order reaction assumptions. Results imply that ambient temperatures, activation energy, initial Reynolds numbers strongly influence the ignition and combustion processes. Especially, droplet combustion phenomena are classified into enveloped flame, side flame, and wake flame.
