        초등학교 교사의 수학불안과 수학교수불안의 상관관계 분석 연구

        본 연구에서는 초등학교 교사의 수학불안과 수학교수불안의 관계를 통합방법으로 조사하였다. 초등학교 교사 256명의 설문 조사의 통계적 분석 결과 두 요인 사이에는 통계적으로 유의미한 양의 상관관계가 있었다(r = .630, p <.05). 두 요인에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 분석 결과 수학불안에 영향을 미치는 요인은 교직경력과 학위, 수학교수불안에 영향을 주는 요인은 교직경력, 학위, 교사 자격증으로 조사되었다. 이어 본 연구에서는 20명의 초등학교 교사와 면담을 중심으로 하는 질적 연구를 시행하였다. 분석 결과 수학불안이 반드시 수학교수불안을 야기하는 유일한 원인이 아닐 수 있다는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구의 양적·질적 분석 결과 한국 초등학교 교사의 수학불안과 수학교수불안은 동일한 몇 가지 요인에 의해 통계적으로 유의미한 변화를 나타내기 때문에 두 요인 사이의 유사성이 발견되지만, 별개의 요인에 각각의 정서적 상태의 변화가 확인되는 점을 바탕으로 수학불안과 수학교수 불인이 동일한 정서적 상태가 아니라는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 수학불안만으로 수학교수불안을 예측할 수 없다는 점을 가정할 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 초등학교 교사의 수학불안과 수학교수불안을 예방 및 치료하기 위해서는 어느 정서적 상태의 치료가 우선시된다기 보다 각각의 정서 상태에 맞는 방법들이 고안되어 동시에 진행되어야 한다는 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다. In this study, I investigate the relationship between mathematics anxiety and mathematics teacher anxiety of elementary school teachers with integrated method. As a result of statistical analysis of the survey of 256 elementary school teachers, there was a statistically significant positive correlation between the two factors (r = .630, p <.05). The analysis show that teaching experience and degree may affect mathematics anxiety and teaching experience, degree, and teacher qualification may affect mathematics teaching anxiety. Subsequently I conduct a qualitative study focusing on interviews with 20 elementary school teachers. As a result of the analysis, I confirm that even if the mathematics anxiety is low, mathematics teaching anxiety may occur due to the teaching environment. As a result of the quantitative and qualitative analysis of this study, Korean elementary school teachers' mathematics anxiety and mathematics teaching anxiety might be regarded as separate factors. From the result of the study, I suggest that mathematics anxiety and mathematics teaching anxiety of elementary school teachers, each emotional state might be considered as independent emotional status. The implication of the study indicate that independent methods might be developed in order to prevent and treat mathematics anxiety and mathematics teaching anxiety in elementary school teachers.

        <P>Gutmicrobiota can regulate the host energymetabolism; however, the underlying mechanisms that could involve gut microbiota-derived compounds remain to be understood. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the effects ofKetoA [10-oxo-12(Z)-octadecenoic acid]-a linoleic acidmetaboliteproduced by gut lactic acid bacteria-on whole-body energy metabolism and found that dietary intake of KetoA could enhance energy expenditure in mice, thereby protecting mice from diet-induced obesity. By using Ca2+ imaging and whole-cell patch-clamp methods, KetoA was noted to potently activate transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) and enhance noradrenalin turnover in adipose tissues. In addition, KetoA up-regulated genes that are related to brown adipocyte functions, including uncoupling protein 1 (UCP1) inwhite adipose tissue (WAT), whichwas later diminished in the presence of a b-adrenoreceptor blocker. By using obese and diabetic model KK-Ay mice, we further show that KetoA intake ameliorated obesity-associatedmetabolic disorders. In the absence of any observedKetoA-induced antiobesity effect or UCP1 up-regulation in TRPV1-deficient mice, we prove that the antiobesity effect of KetoAwas caused by TRPV1 activation-mediated browning inWAT.         Successful full-term delivery after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest during the second trimester of pregnancy: a case report

        Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in pregnancy is extremely rare. In this case report, a 43-year-old female patient at 24.0 weeks of gestation collapsed outside her home after cardiac arrest. The paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation with defibrillation for ventricular fibrillation. Spontaneous circulation was achieved after 19 minutes. The fetus was stable during postarrest care. The patient exhibited high blood pressure with seizure-like symptoms for 2 days afterwards, which resolved with magnesium sulfate. She gradually recovered and returned to her daily activities while on treatment with beta blockers for cardiomyopathy and premature ventricular contractions until delivery. At 37.2 weeks of gestation, she underwent elective Cesarean section under spinal anesthesia. The baby weighed 2.55 kg and did not present with any complications. Here, we report a case of successful full-term delivery in a patient who underwent cardiopulmonary resuscitation for sudden cardiac arrest during the second trimester of pregnancy.

        N ‐(Biphenyl‐3‐ylmethyl)ethanamines as G protein‐biased agonists of 5‐HT 7 R

        There has been much attention to biased ligands of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) for potential pharmacological benefits. Recently, we reported N- ((6-chloro-2’-methoxy-[1,1’-biphenyl]-3-yl)methyl)ethanamine 1 as G proteinbiased agonist of 5-HT7R, which could be used as a chemical probe for the study on treatment discovery of autism spectrum disorder. Herein, we describe the synthesis of derivatives of the compound 1 and their biological evaluations in both G protein and β-arrestin signaling pathway. Total 16 compounds were synthesized and evaluated, and the compounds 3c, 3f, 3i, and 3p could be called as G protein-biased agonists like the compound 1. Among the four compounds, the compound 3c was the best in efficacy with an Emax value of 73% and the compound 3f was the most potent agonist with an EC50 value of 0.094 μM.

        For Whom Does the Educational Evaluation Exist? A Study for Improving Mathematic Educational Evaluation System in South Korea Based on Eisner`s Evaluation Theory

        An accurate evaluation of educational process is a promise for the progress of education, because evaluation provides a meticulous idea of what has actually been achieved as a result of education. However, for all its significance in the educational fields, there are not many discussions about evaluation in South Korea. We believe that in order to over-come this discrepancy, diverse evaluation theories along with a discussion about the mer-its or demerits or each theory should be introduced in South Korea. We propose that Eis-ner`s educational evaluation model may suggest alternative ways of perceiving evalua-tion. Eisner`s educational evaluation model, named educational connoisseurship and crit-icism, emerged as an approach to educational evaluation from the methods used in art and literary criticism.

      • Successful intrauterine transfusion for severe fetal anemia: a single-center experience

        Objective: To assess the perinatal outcomes after intrauterine transfusion (IUT) for fetal anemia caused by maternal alloimmunization and congenital infection. Methods: This was a retrospective study of fetuses prenatally diagnosed with fetal anemia between January 2000 and April 2020 at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, Korea. All fetuses diagnosed with fetal anemia by using cordocentesis or Doppler evaluation of the fetal middle cerebral artery peak systolic velocity (MCA-PSV) exceeding 1.5 multiples of the median (MoM) were indicated for IUT. Results: A total of 73 IUTs were performed in 28 fetuses. Twelve fetuses suffered alloimmunization and 16 fetuses suffered a congenital infection. All fetuses were diagnosed with severe fetal anemia by cordocentesis. The median gestational age at diagnosis was 22.6 weeks (range, 15.5-33.4). The median gestational age at delivery was 35.6 weeks (range, 17.0-39.5). The median number of IUT was two per fetus (range, 1-8). Complications included emergency cesarean sections due to fetal distress (3/28, 10.7%), and intrauterine bleeding (1/28, 3.6%). The overall survival rate at birth was 82.1% (23/28), which was significantly higher in the alloimmunization group than in the congenital infection group (100% vs. 68.8%, p = 0.036). The alloimmunization group had a significantly higher gestational age at diagnosis (30.1 vs. 22.1 weeks, p = 0.001) and a higher number of IUTs (4 vs. 2 times, p = 0.001) compared with the congenital infection group. The median values of hemoglobin and hematocrit at birth were 12.9 g/dl and 38.9%, respectively; 52.2% of neonates were treated with transfusion and 52.2% required phototherapy. Conclusion: IUT was a feasible treatment for severe fetal anemia, with the treated neonates displaying none-to-moderate anemia at birth. IUT may be more effective in those with maternal alloimmunization than in those with congenital infections.

        Prenatal Diagnosis of Ventricular Tachycardia Initiated from Bradycardia

        Fetal ventricular tachycardia (VT) is an extremely rare condition. Because sustained VT is highly associated with perinatal morbidity and mortality, prenatal management with antiarrhythmic drugs is crucial. A 33-year-old woman was referred to our hospital for fetal bradycardia at 25.2 weeks of gestation. Initial echocardiography showed bradycardia with irregular atrial beats, which was suspected as blocked atrial bigeminy. Four weeks later, the fetal tachycardia was accompanied by no atrioventricular conduction. Therefore, VT was diagnosed. The fetus developed hydrops. Despite the use of antiarrhythmic drug, the neonate died a few hours after birth because of persistent VT. Only few cases of fetal VT have been reported worldwide, and no case has been reported in Korea. Here, we report a case of fetal VT and discuss the prenatal management using antiarrhythmic drugs, reviewing previous reports.

        What Feminist Mathematics Education tells to South Korea?

        I examine the discussions of studies related to feminist mathematics education and the implications of mathematics education in South Korea. In particular, I attempt to answer the following questions through literature reviews on feminist mathematics: What is the epistemological background of feminist mathematics education? How is feminist mathematics education defined and implemented? What does feminist mathematics education suggest in South Korea's mathematics curriculum? From the analysis of the literatures, I found that feminist mathematics education reflects not just the rights of female's rights but also a paradigm shift in epistemology of mathematics and philosophy of mathematics education. In this regard, feminist mathematics questions the existing mathematics education related to the female students who were marginalized in the composition and delivery of mathematics. Feminist mathematics education points out that in the course of the transfer of mathematical knowledge in schools, female students understand unilateral information procedurally without understanding the concept. Mathematics educators should consider alternative curricula that reflect the views of female students regarding the nature of mathematics. Students should be able to receive equal mathematics education in a school regardless of their gender. In this case, equal mathematics education refers to education methods that are suitable for both male and female students. The existing mathematics content and its teaching methods were designed based on the learning experiences of male students, which made them relatively difficult for female students to understand.
