        병원 외주부 디자인에 따른 병실모듈 연구

        Purpose: It is important to plan the ward module at a time when the size of beds, the floor area, and the construction budget are all set prior to the hospital design. In this context this study aims (1) to derive various factors affecting the ward module, and (2) to analyze the appropriate room module according to the type. Methods: Design factors related to hospital modules are derived through precedential studies, and the types of ward elevation are classified by reviewing the drawings of 18 case hospitals. And the detailed dimensions and area of the derived elements are analyzed. Results: The X-axis modules of the ward are switched to long span structural columns of 9.9 m, 12.6 m and 13.2 m, but the ward modules still represent 6.6 m. The Y-axis module of the ward shows a dimension of 9 to 9.9m in the process of changing a multi-person room into a four-person room. Type A of curtain wall with columns located on the wall of the room and type B of curtain wall located in the center of the room are analyzed due to their variations. The square window type, which forms the elevation of the square window by exposing the columns to the elevation, and the outframe type, which protrudes from the structural columns and beams, have elevation designs limited. There are, however, no obstacles to the interior space of the hospital room, so the wall composition and furniture arrangement are expected to be free. The ward area of Curtain Wall Type A, which can secure an effective area of 5.9m*5.0m, are 52.1㎡. The Curtain Wall Type A, Square window type, and the outframe type are 49.8㎡. Implications: As part of the hospital standard module plan for economical and reasonable hospital building planning, a type was proposed in this study in conjunction with the external design. It is hoped that it be a base for standard module research linked together to the Central Treatment department, Outpatient department and underground parking lot.

        Cancer risk based on alcohol consumption levels: a comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis

        OBJECTIVES: Alcohol consumption is a well-established risk factor for cancer. Despite extensive research into the relationship between alcohol consumption and cancer risk, the effect of light alcohol consumption on cancer risk remains a topic of debate. To contribute to this discourse, we conducted a comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis. METHODS: Our systematic review aimed to investigate the associations between different levels of alcohol consumption and the risk of several cancer types. We focused on analyzing prospective associations using data from 139 cohort studies. Among them, 106 studies were included in the meta-analysis after a quantitative synthesis. RESULTS: Our analysis did not find a significant association between light alcohol consumption and all-cause cancer risk (relative risk, 1.02; 95% confidence interval, 0.99 to 1.04), but we observed a dose-response relationship. Light alcohol consumption was significantly associated with higher risks of esophageal, colorectal, and breast cancers. Light to moderate drinking was associated with elevated risks of esophageal, colorectal, laryngeal, and breast cancers. Heavy drinking was also found to contribute to the risk of stomach, liver, pancreas, and prostate cancers, thereby increasing the risk of almost all types of cancer. Additionally, females generally had lower cancer risks compared to males. CONCLUSIONS: Our findings highlight that cancer risks extend beyond heavy alcohol consumption to include light alcohol consumption as well. These findings suggest that there is no safe level of alcohol consumption associated with cancer risk. Our results underscore the importance of public health interventions addressing alcohol consumption to mitigate cancer risks.

      • Low-Temperature Solution-Processed Soluble Polyimide Gate Dielectrics: From Molecular-Level Design to Electrically Stable and Flexible Organic Transistors

        <P>Aromatic soluble polyimides (PIs) have been widely used in organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) as gate dielectric layers due to their promising features such as outstanding chemical resistance, thermal stability, low-temperature processability, and mechanical flexibility. However, the molecular structures of soluble PIs on the electrical characteristics of OFETs are not yet fully understood. In this work, the material, dielectric, and electrical properties are evaluated to systematically investigate the chemical structure effect of aromatic dianhydride and diamine monomers on the device performance. Four soluble PIs based on 4,4'-(Hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphthalic anhydride (6FDA) and 5-(2,5-Dioxotetrahydrofuryl)-3-methyl-3-cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboxylic anhydride, in which the monomeric precursors contain different backbones, side groups, and linkages, were employed to compare the chemical structure impact. The dielectric properties, which significantly affect the charge transport and crystallinity of OSC thin films, clearly depended on the soluble PI types as well as the surface energy and the thermal stability. Furthermore, the electrical characteristic measurement and parameter extraction of OFETs based on TIPS-pentacene revealed that the 6FDA-based soluble PIs, which lead to high field-effect mobility, near-zero threshold electric field, and outstanding electrical stability under bias stress, are the most promising gate dielectric candidates. Finally, low-temperature solution-processed OFETs are successfully integrated with ultrathin flexible substrates, and they exhibit no significant electrical performance loss after mechanical flexibility tests. This work presents a step forward in the development of soluble PI gate dielectrics for flexible electronic devices with high device performance.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

        Epidemiological characteristics of and containment measures for COVID-19 in Busan, Korea

        OBJECTIVES: To describe and evaluate epidemiological investigation results and containment measures implemented in Busan, where 108 cases were confirmed with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) between February 21, 2020 and March 24, 2020. METHODS: Any individual who tested positive for COVID-19 was classified as a confirmed case. Measures were taken to identify the source of infection and trace and quarantine contacts. Serial intervals were estimated and the effective reproduction number was computed. RESULTS: Of the total 18,303 COVID-19 tests performed between January 16, 2020 and March 24, 2020 in Busan, 108 yielded positive results (positive test rate, 0.6%). All confirmed cases were placed in isolation at hospitals. Of the 108 confirmed cases, 59 (54.6%) were female. The most common age group was 20-29 years with 37 cases (34.3%). Regarding symptoms at the time of diagnosis, cough (n=38, 35.2%) and fever (n=34, 31.5%) were most common; 12 cases (11.1%) were asymptomatic. The source of infection was identified in 99 cases (91.7%). A total of 3,223 contacts were identified and quarantined. Household contacts accounted for 196, and the household secondary attack rate was 8.2% (95% confidence interval [CI], 4.7 to 12.9). The mean serial interval was estimated to be 5.54 days (95% CI, 4.08 to 7.01). After February 26, (Rt) remained below 1 in Busan. CONCLUSIONS: The early containment strategy implemented in Busan shows that control is possible if outbreaks are of limited scope. In preparation for future outbreaks, public health and healthcare systems should be re-examined and put in a ready state.

      • 수공구 사용 근로자의 수근관증후군 실태조사 결과

        Objective: 본 연구는 경기남부지역에서 종사하고 있는 식당조리원, 단순조립작업자 등 수공구 사용작업자를 대상으로 실시한 수근관증후군 실태조사에 따른 결과를 분석하고 이에 대한 예방 대책을 고찰하는 데 목적이 있다. Background: 산업재해통계에 따르면 근골격계질환자 중 수근관증후군은 2008년부터 별도의 코드가 분류되어 발표되고 있으며, 현재까지 총 533명이 발생하는 등 꾸준히 발생하고 있는 추세이다. 특히 단순노무 종사자, 식당조리원 등 수공구를 사용하는 취약직종에 대한 실태 파악이 미흡하고, 예방 대책 제시가 어려운 실정이다. Method: 경기남부지도원에서는 5년간 발생한 전국 수근관증후군 질환자를 분석하여 재해다발 상위 업종 중 5개업종(수송용기계기구제조업(을), 식료품제조업, 기계기구제조업, 화학제품제조업, 음식및숙박업)을 선정하였으며, 수근관증후군 및 근골격계질환자 등이 발생한 사업장 100개소에 대하여 수근관증후군 실태조사를 실시하였다. Results: 취약직종의 세부 작업 중 조리작업자 중 세척 작업에 대한 육제적 부담정도가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 평균 육체적 부담정도는 약간 힘든 정도(4.6점)의 수준으로 나타났다. 위험요인에 해당하는 작업은 일일 평균 2시간 이상 작업을 수행하고 있으며, 가장 불편한 위험요인으로는 반복작업인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 근로자의 증상호소 신체부위는 손/손목/손가락, 허리, 어깨 등의 순으로 나타났다. Conclusion: 본 연구의 결과는 경기남부지역에서 종사하고 있는 단순노무 종사자, 식당조리원 등의 수근관증후군 취약직종에 대한 실태 분석을 토대로 현 실태를 파악하고, 이에 대한 예방대책을 제시하는 데에 활용할 수 있으며, 향후 연구에서는 전국 사업장을 대상으로 한 세부 직종 및 작업별 실태 조사가 이루어져야 하겠다.

        Radiomics Signature on Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Association with Disease-Free Survival in Patients with Invasive Breast Cancer

        <P><B>Purpose:</B> To develop a radiomics signature based on preoperative MRI to estimate disease-free survival (DFS) in patients with invasive breast cancer and to establish a radiomics nomogram that incorporates the radiomics signature and MRI and clinicopathological findings.</P><P><B>Experimental Design:</B> We identified 294 patients with invasive breast cancer who underwent preoperative MRI. Patients were randomly divided into training (<I>n</I> = 194) and validation (<I>n</I> = 100) sets. A radiomics signature (Rad-score) was generated using an elastic net in the training set, and the cutoff point of the radiomics signature to divide the patients into high- and low-risk groups was determined using receiver-operating characteristic curve analysis. Univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazards model and Kaplan–Meier analysis were used to determine the association of the radiomics signature, MRI findings, and clinicopathological variables with DFS. A radiomics nomogram combining the Rad-score and MRI and clinicopathological findings was constructed to validate the radiomic signatures for individualized DFS estimation.</P><P><B>Results:</B> Higher Rad-scores were significantly associated with worse DFS in both the training and validation sets (<I>P</I> = 0.002 and 0.036, respectively). The radiomics nomogram estimated DFS [C-index, 0.76; 95% confidence interval (CI); 0.74–0.77] better than the clinicopathological (C-index, 0.72; 95% CI, 0.70–0.74) or Rad-score–only nomograms (C-index, 0.67; 95% CI, 0.65–0.69).</P><P><B>Conclusions:</B> The radiomics signature is an independent biomarker for the estimation of DFS in patients with invasive breast cancer.       • Low-career Teachers at Public Kindergartens at their New Starting Point

        In this study, we heard and analyzed the first experiences of teachers in the recognition and operation of the 2019 revised Nuri curriculum of low-career teachers with less than three years of teaching experience. The results of this study found that first, teachers with low career in public kindergartens were able to make various efforts and had diverse experience in the operation of the 2019 revised Nuri curriculum. Second, low-career teachers experienced difficulties due to a lack of practical knowledge, as well as structural difficulties in operating the curriculum. Third, low-career teachers are finding a junction between the previous curriculum and the 2019 revised Nuri curriculum by compromising between the two.

      • Development of a lane change risk index using vehicle trajectory data

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Surrogate safety measures (SSMs) have been widely used to evaluate crash potential, which is fundamental for the development of effective safety countermeasures. Unlike existing SSMs, which are mainly focused on the evaluation of longitudinal vehicle maneuvering leading to rear-end crashes, this study proposes a new method for estimating crash risk while a subject vehicle changes lanes, referred to as the lane change risk index (LCRI). A novel feature of the proposed methodology is its incorporation of the amount of exposure time to potential crash and the expected crash severity level by applying a fault tree analysis (FTA) to the evaluation framework. Vehicle interactions between a subject vehicle and adjacent vehicles in the starting lane and the target lane are evaluated in terms of crash potential during lane change. Vehicle trajectory data obtained from a traffic stream, photographed using a drone flown over a freeway segment, is used to investigate the applicability of the proposed methodology. This study compares the characteristics of compulsory and discretionary lane changes observed in a work zone section and a general section of a freeway using the LCRI. It is expected that the outcome of this study will be valuable in evaluating the effectiveness of various traffic operations and control strategies in terms of lane change safety.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> A lane change risk index based on the analysis of vehicle trajectory data was proposed. </LI> <LI> The proposed methodology incorporates the amount of exposure time to potential crash and the expected crash severity level. </LI> <LI> Vehicle trajectory data obtained from a drone flown over a freeway segment was used to investigate the applicability of the proposed methodology. </LI> <LI> The outcome will be valuable in evaluating the effectiveness of various traffic operations and control strategies in terms of lane change safety. </LI> </UL> </P>
