        다관능 아크릴레이트계 자외선 경화형 코팅액의 제조 및 이를 이용한 PET 필름 도막의 광학 특성 연구

        Ultraviolet curable coating solution was prepared with poly(ethylene glycol) acrylate oligomer and various mono and multi-functional acrylate monomers. The optical properties of UV cured coating layer on PET film with acrylate coating solution containing metal oxides, such as fumed silica and alumina, were also investigated to reduce light reflection on films. Poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate which has 575 of average molecular weight was used as oligomer acrylate, and pentaerythritol triacrylate and dipentaerythritolpenta-/ hexa acrylate were used as multi-functional acrylate monomers. Also, butyl acrylate was used to improve the adhesion as well as to reduce glass transition temperature to give a better flexability. 1-hydroxy cyclohexyl phenyl ketone was used as photoinitiator. We found out the metal oxides in acrylate coating solution showed a homogeneous dispersion from energy dispersive spectroscopy data. Transmittance and light reflection of coated PET film was measured with UV/vis spectrometer and gloss meter, respectively. When 1.00 g of both metal oxides was added into coating solution, the transmittance and the glossiness were reduced from 90% to 30% and from 190 GU to 35 GU, respectively. However, adding up to 1.00 g of the metal oxide into coating solution did not affect on the hardness of coating layer and adhesion between coated layer and PET film. Conclusively, we can control transmittance and light reflection of coated film by adjusting the amounts of metal oxide in coating solution.

        유/무기하이브리드 코팅액에 의한 Al6061-T6의 내식 특성

        In this study, the corrosion resistance by salt spray was evaluated using A6061-T6 for an electric vehicle battery pack case coated with an organic/inorganic hybrid solution. The lowest curing temperature of 190 ℃ resulted in significant corrosion and pitting. Meanwhile, no corrosion was observed in the coated specimens at 210 ℃ and 230 ℃ except at 210 ℃ - 6 min and 8 min. The surface of the as-received coating specimen observed by FE-SEM exhibited streaks and dents in the rolling direction, but the coating surface was clean. On the 190 ℃ - 6 min coating specimen, which had a lot of corrosion, rolling streaks spread, and dents were caused by corrosion. The 200 ℃ - 12 min coating specimen did not show corrosion, but it showed an etched surface. In the line profile, Si, the main component of the coating solution, was detected the most, and Ti was also detected. In the coating specimens with salt spray, O increased and Si decreased, regardless of corrosion. The peeling rate by adhesion evaluation was 26 - 87% for the 190 ℃ coating specimen, 4 - 83% for the 210 ℃ coating specimen, and 94 - 100% for the 230 ℃ coating specimen. The optimal curing conditions for the coating solution used in this study were 210 ℃ for 10 min.

      • Single-Solution Bar-Coated Halide Perovskite Films via Mediating Crystallization for Scalable Solar Cell Fabrication

        <P>The development of a scalable fabrication technology for halide perovskite solar cells (HPSCs) is an important challenge to realize their commercialization. In particular, continuous solution-coating processes are needed to produce scalable large-area HPSCs. Herein, we report a single-solution bar-coating process that introduces an intermediate phase stage for large-area CH<SUB>3</SUB>NH<SUB>3</SUB>PbI<SUB>3</SUB> films with full coverage and smooth morphology using <I>N</I>-cyclohexyl-2-pyrrolidone (CHP) as a mediator. In contrast to the conventional double-solution coating methods that use antisolvent treatments, the preformed uniform intermediate phase in the single-solution bar-coating process enables the formation of highly uniform perovskite films with a 10 cm × 10 cm area even without antisolvent treatment. The HPSCs fabricated using the resultant single-solution bar-coated perovskite films exhibit superior photovoltaic performance, narrower distribution, and smaller loss with a larger active area than devices fabricated using single-solution spin-coated perovskite films.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

        콜로이드 실리카를 이용한 UV 경화형 친수성 코팅 도막 제조

        UV-curable hydrophilic coating solutions were prepared by mixing colloidal silica dispersed in alcohol with an acrylic monomer, pentaerythritol triacrylate (PETA). Hydrophilic coating films were also prepared by spin coat-ing the hydrophilic coating solutions on PC substrates and UV curing for 10 minutes subsequently. The effect of the amount of colloidal silica in the coating solutions, which was varied from 10 g to 50 g, was investigated on the hydro-philic properties of UV-cured coating films. The results showed that the amount of colloidal silica had a great influence on the hydrophilic properties of UV-cured coating films and the coating film prepared with 30 g of colloidal silica showed a lowest contact angle of 37° and an excellent pencil hardness of H.

        Needle 코팅을 이용한 미세 PEDOT:PSS 스트라이프 제작

        We have investigated the feasibility of fabricating fine stripes using needle coating for potential applications in solution-processed organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). To this end, we have employed an aqueous poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(4-styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) solution that has been widely used as a hole injection layer (HIL) of OLEDs and performed needle coatings by varying the process parameters such as the coating gap and coating speed. As expected, the stripe width is reduced with increasing coating speed. However, the central thickness of the stripe is rather increased as the coating speed increases, which is different from other coating processes such as slot-die and blade coatings. It is due to the fact that the meniscus formed between the needle tip and the substrate varies depending sensitively on the coating speed. It is also found that the stripe width and thickness are reduced with increasing coating gap. To demonstrate its applicability to OLEDs, we have fabricated a red OLED stripe and obtained light emission with the width of about 90 µm.

        광케이블용 유리섬유의 코팅을 위한 고흡수성 코팅액 및 코팅필름의 제조 및 특성분석

        The coating solution with high viscosity and absorbability was prepared using acrylic monomers by emulsion polymerization. The chemical structure of acrylic copolymers was determined by an IR spectrometer, and the changes in viscosity of coating solution with different polymer concentrations were measured using a rheometer. Further, it was confirmed that the coating film showed excellent absorbability with high tensile strength, compared with glass fiber coating. Therefore, the coating solution and film are expected to be a useful material for producing water-proof fiber to use in optical cable.

        스핀 코팅을 이용한 용액 공정 방식의 컬러 코팅 기술 연구

        In this paper, front color glass for Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) system was implemented by spincoating method using color solution. Solutions suitable for color solutions were investigated using pearlescentpigments and various solutions to implement color glass. One of investigated solutions, NOA 63 and NOA 65,which are ultraviolet light curing agents, were able to implement color glass with superior coating properties andcolor reproducibility than other solutions. Color glass realized by spin coating with a NOA 65 based color solutionshowed high transmittance of 86% in the visible and near-infrared wavelength bands, and the change in opticalproperties of color glass over time was insignificant, making it a suitable material for realizing color glass for BIPVSuitable as a color solution. The solution process method using the spin coating method is expected to facilitatethe manufacturing process of front color glass for BIPV as it can produce color glass more easily and quickly thanthe existing physical deposition method or color glass manufacturing process using nanoparticles. 본 논문에서는 컬러 용액을 사용하여 스핀 코팅 방식으로 Building Integrated Photovoltaic(BIPV) 시스템용 전면 컬러 유리를구현하였다. 컬러 유리 구현을 위해 진주광택 안료와 다양한 용액를 사용하여 컬러 용액에 적합한 용액을 조사하였다. 조사한 용액중 자외선 광 경화제인 NOA series의 경우 다른 용액보다 우수한 코팅성과 컬러 재현성을 가진 컬러 유리를 구현할 수 있었다. NOA 65 기반의 컬러 용액으로 스핀 코팅하여 구현한 컬러 유리는 가시광선 및 근적외선 파장 대역에서 최대 86%의 높은 투과율을 보였으며 시간에 따른 컬러 유리의 광학적 특성의 변화가 미미하여 BIPV용 컬러 유리 구현을 위한 컬러 용액으로 적합하였다. 스핀 코팅 방식을 활용한 용액 공정 방식은 기존의 물리적 증착 방식이나 나노 입자를 활용한 컬러 유리 제작 공정보다 쉽고 빠르게컬러 유리를 제작할 수 있어 BIPV용 전면 컬러 유리 제작 공정이 용이해질 것으로 기대된다.

        이산화티탄 나노입자로부터 고굴절 하드코팅 도막의 제조

        The titania (TiO2) nanoparticles with a diameter 2 3 nm were synthesized by controlling hydrolysis of titanium tetraisopropoxide (TTIP) in acid solution. Organic-inorganic hybrid coating solutions were prepared by reacting the titania nanoparticles with 3-glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane (GPTMS) by the sol-gel method. The hard coating films with high refractive index were obtained by curing thermally at 120 oC after spin-coating the coating solutions on the polycarbonate (PC) sheets. The coating films showed high optical transparency of 90% in the visible range and exhibited a pencil hardness of 2H. Also, the refractive index at 633 nm wavelength of coating films enhanced from 1.502 to 1.584 as the weight content of titania nanoparticles in the coating solutions increased from 4% to 25%.

        플라스틱 디스플레이 기판용UV 하드 코팅 용액의 합성

        Poly(urethane acrylate) siloxane oligomers with Interpenetrating polymer netwoked nanoparticles were prepared to synthesize hard coating solution by reaction with diisocyanates. The diisocyanate combined siloxane hard coating solution showed more flexibility than the siloxane solution. In addition, diisocyanate resulted in improvement of curl property and surface hardness in the siloxane solution. Of the used diisocyanates, isophorone diisocyanate and acryloyloxy ethyl diisocyanate were good for UV hard coating solution. This effect will decrease brittleness in the siloxane solution using for plastic display plate.

        Designing highly conductive and stable silver nanocrystal thin films with tunable work functions through solution-based surface engineering with gold coating process

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We fabricated highly conductive and stable silver nanocrystal (Ag NC) thin film electrodes with tunable work functions using an all-solution-based method involving sequential ligand exchange and gold (Au) coating processes. We studied the effect of the Au coating process on the ligand-exchanged Ag NC thin films and successfully demonstrated the formation of a thin Au layer on the surface of the Ag NCs. We investigated the morphological, structural, optical, chemical, and electrical properties of the Ag NC thin films before and after Au coating. The work function of the electrodes was precisely controlled by varying the treatment time and concentration of gold chloride trihydrate (HAuCl<SUB>4</SUB>·3H<SUB>2</SUB>O) solutions. The thermal stability of the Au coated Ag NC thin films in air was greatly enhanced, and an extremely low resistivity of 3.4 μΩcm was achieved. Taking advantage of this solution-based low-temperature process and using a minimal amount of Au for cost reduction, we fabricated all-NC-based high-performance flexible photodetectors.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Ag nanocrystal (NC) thin films were prepared by an all-solution-based process. </LI> <LI> The work function could be tuned from 3.9 to 4.5eV by ligand exchange and Au coating. </LI> <LI> A very low resistivity of 3.4 μΩ cm was achieved from the Ag NC thin films. </LI> <LI> The thermal stability of the thin films in air was significantly enhanced. </LI> <LI> All-NC- and all-solution-process-based flexible photodetectors were fabricated. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>
