        UML 활용 영향요인에 관한 탐색적 연구

        This paper is concerned with figuring out a scheme to facilitate UML utilization through examining the factors which affect the intention to use UML. For this, we conducted a survey of those factors among software engineers in IT service companies. In order to examine the factors affecting the intention to use UML, we developed a model by combining the Technology Acceptance Model and the Innovation Attributes Theory, which have been proved to explain well about the acceptance of new technologies and services. Statistical analysis shows that the subjective norm which is one of social factors has significant influence on the career consequences, and also on the compatibility when the result of UML utilization is demonstrable. The career consequences, the compatibility and the ease of use are found to have significant influence on the usefulness perception of UML utilization, implying that the recognition that one`s future career can be affected in the long term by UML utilization is important in shaping how one perceives the usefulness along with the compatibility with one`s current task type and the ease of use. The usefulness and the compatibility are evaluated to be the factors that have significant influences on the intention to use UML.

        XMI기반 클래스의 메타데이터생성

        XMI 메타모델과 XML 메타데이터를 이용한 클래스에 대한 연구는 일반적으로 이용되고 있는 XML 메타데이터의 생성과 상당한 차이점이 있다. 대부분의 XML 시스템은 에디터기능과 데이터베이스 연동, 등 마크업언어의 생성부분에 많은 비중을 두고 개발하고 있다. 그러나 본 연구는 이와 달리 XMI 메타모델에서 추출되는 클래스 메타데이터의 마크업언어를 생성하는데 중점을 두었다. 또한 클래스내의 단위 엘리먼트의 속성부여와 모델내의 클래스 관계를 표현할 수 있도록 하였다. 마크업언어의 생성에서는 XML 스키마를 이용하여 세부적인 데이터타입의 선언이 가능하도록 하고 있다. Study on the class using XMI Meta model and XML MetaDats has significant difference from the method of Data creation which is widely used. Most of MXL System are focusing on the editor funcition, Database connection and Generation of Markup language. Unlikelly, however, this study has focused on the creation of Markup language of Class MetaData which are extracted from MXI data modedl. In addition to that, the attribute of unit element within the class and the relationship between the classes within the model were set to be given and expressed respectively. For the generation of Markup language, XML schema was used to declare the detail data type.

        MODEL-BASED AUTOMATIC TEST CASE GENERATION FOR AUTOMOTIVE EMBEDDED SOFTWARE TESTING

        We propose a method to automatically generate software and hardware test cases from a UML model developed through a model-based development process. Where languages such as source-code languages are used within the model, input and expected values for each test case are generated using a custom parser. As a next step, unit test cases are combined to generate integration test cases using a bottom-up approach. Then these cases are converted into hardware test cases for approval testing of embedded systems, using XQuery and hardware mapping tables. We demonstrate this process by applying it to the power window switch module of a Hyundai Santa Fe vehicle. Our approach provides an automatic testing procedure for embedded systems developed by model-based methods, and generates test cases efficiently using a recombination of signals. In conclusion, our proposed method could help reduce the resources needed for test case generation from software to hardware.

        UML을 이용한 아두이노 어플리케이션 설계

        아두이노는 오픈소스 기반 프로토타이핑 플랫폼으로, 미디어아트, 시뮬레이션, 인터랙션 장치 등 다양한 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 아두이노 어플리케이션은 C언어를 기반으로 개발되기 때문에 프로그램의 효과적인 설계명세 양식을 제공하지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 표준 객체지향 모델링 언어인 UML의 확장 매커니즘을 이용한 아두이노 어플리케이션 설계방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법을 통해 아두이노 어플리케이션의 주기능인 디지털 입출력, 아날로그 입출력 등을 UML 표기법을 이용하여 명세할 수 있다. Arduino is an open-source prototyping platform. It has been used in diverse areas including media-art, simulation and interaction devices. The Arduino application does not provide an effective form of software design specification, since it is basically developed in C Programming language. In this paper, we propose a design method for the Arduino applications using the extension mechanism of the UML(Unified Modeling Language). The proposed method is enable to specify the main function of Arduino applications like digital I/O and analog I/O in UML notations.

      • 자동차부품 기업의 UML기반 자재관리시스템 설계 및 구현

        One of the important applications in Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) systems is the Manufacturing Resource Planning(MRPII) system using Bill of Material(BOM). The manufacturing resource planning determines the quantity and timing of the production or purchase of subassemblies and raw materials needed to support the Master Production Scheduling(MPS). The bill of material is the recipe, a list of the materials needed to make a product. This paper intends to suggest a component-based materials management system using Unified Modeling Language(UML), as an application system for automobile part industry. Applying component based materials management systems designed with UML methodology, we analyzed the workflow and the document on materials management process from production planning to inventory management, and implemented a prototype of efficient materials management system, as a surrogate of existing material requirement planning(MRPI) system. To produce many other assemblies for a automobile part firm, component parts are assembled into subassemblies that are joined to assemble the finished product. Through the system suggested in this study, the level of inventory has cut down and the cost of inventory management has decreased. Also, the development method using UML makes the analysis and design phase to shorten in implementation period of MRPII system. The implementation of materials management system using CBD shows the ease of use in software reuse and the interoperability with corporate internal information system. The result of applying object-oriented CBD technique is to minimize the risk of life cycle and facilitate the reuse of software as mentioned to limitation of information engineering methodology.

        EtherCAT 기반 엔코더 시스템에서 UML을 이용한 XML 설계

        The EtherCAT protocol has become a very promising alternative for real-time industrial application due to its ability to eliminate uncertainties in the Ethernet. However, the extended markup language (XML) for the EtherCAT network system, which is required in the design, lacks systematic development to take advantage of model transformation techniques. This paper focuses on the system development procedure of the EtherCAT-based encoder system using the CANopen over EtherCAT (CoE) protocol. UML modeling is being adapted to design for XML of EtherCAT-based encoder system. To this purpose, this paper analyzes the object dictionary (OD) of a commercial encoder and CANopen over EtherCAT. A UML diagram is then designed based on the analysis, and XML is generated through the designed UML diagram. Finally, an experimental test_bed for the EtherCAT-based encoder system is implemented and its performance is compared with a commercial encoder.

        Development of an authoring framework for the simplified customization of PDM systems

        Given that the amount of product data in firms is explosively increasing, a PDM system for effective data management is considered indispensable for product development. However, considerable time and specialized human resources are needed to customize a generic PDM system for satisfying the specific requirements of individual firms. To overcome this problem, we propose the use of UML object models in a PDM authoring framework. A PDM authoring framework, which provides authoring functions for the effective customization of PDM systems, will reduce the need for the intervention of PDM specialists in the design of the object models of the PDM system. We describe how a PDM authoring framework may be designed by using UML object models, and show how model-oriented application development (MOAD), in conjunction with the PDM authoring framework, can be used to build object models into a PDM system. Furthermore, we confirm the value of the framework by evaluating its performance under several conditions.

      • A Smart Home Context-aware Model Based on UML and Colored Petri Net

        Smart Home is one of the main application domains of Pervasive Computing, and it can provide Context-aware Services to homeowners. As context information is obtained from different sources in the Smart Home environment, the context information may be heterogeneous, inaccurate and dynamic. How to effectively model these different types of context information is a main research issue. To address this issue, we propose a hybrid Context-aware Modeling approach based on UML and Colored Petri Net in this paper. We also model leave home scenario using this approach, and use Coverability Graph to verify the leave home scenario model.

      • 객체지향 방법론을 이용한 자동차부품기업의 영업관리시스템 설계 및 구현

        According to the increase of organizational complexity and the change of rapid information technology environment, many firms have shifted their information technology(IT) strategy from developing information systems in-house to purchasing application software such as Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) Systems. Marketing and Sales functions within a Korean automotive part company include developing new assembly products, determining pricing, taking customer's orders, and shipping assembly products to customers. Marketing and Sales Information System(MSIS) in ERP system plays an important role in next Production Planning process. MSIS also makes management reporting and decision making faster and more uniform throughout an organization. MSIS promotes thinking about corporate goals, as opposed to thinking only about the goals of a single department or functional area. This paper intends to design and implement a MSIS in ERP systems for Korean automotive part company using object-oriented methodology. In order to accomplish the implementation of MSIS in ERP system, we employed UML as its standard modeling language. In this study, four diagramming techniques such as use case diagram, sequence diagram, class diagram, component diagram among eight modeling techniques are used for analyzing hierarchical business process. In traditional marketing and sales function, a company with an unintegrated information system can have marketing and sales data that is data redundant or inaccurate. MSIS integrated in ERP system can solve the sales forecast problem, which minimizes the total costs of production, inventory, and transportation under constraints of production capacity. Also, the use of UIVIL methodology makes S/W programmers shorten the phase of analysis and design in the implementation of MSIS system, and increase the reuse of software and the interoperability with corporate internal information system.

        UML 기반 점검 프로그램 설계 방법에 관한 연구

        본 논문에서는 하드웨어 장비의 성능 및 기능을 검증하기 위한 방법으로 시험장비와 하드웨어 장비간의 연동시험을 하기 위한 점검 프로그램 설계 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 점검 프로그램은 장비 스트레스를 최악의 조건에서 기능을 검증하여 사전에 고장 유무를 확인하고 수리함으로써, 비행체에 탑재하여 발생하는 고장률을 최소화하는 방안이다. 그리고 UML을 이용하여 객체 지향적으로 소프트웨어를 설계함으로써 다른 장비에 쉽게 적용할 수 있다. 점검 프로그램은 Architecture package와 Hardware package로 구성되어 있다. Architecture package는 시스템 관리, 로그분석, 메시지 수신 및 분석하는 역할을 한다. 시스템 관리에서 사용하는 메시지는 점검하기 위한 정보를 정의하고, 정의된 메시지는 이더넷으로 시험장비와 송수신한다. Hardware package는 점검해야 하는 하드웨어 및 시스템 관련 하드웨어를 관리하는 역할을 한다. 점검해야 하는 하드웨어는 내부 점검과 송수신 점검으로 구별되어 있다. 내부 점검은 하드웨어 자체적으로 점검하여 그 결과를 시험장비로 전송하는 방법이다. 송수신 점검은 통신디바이스 점검으로써 데이터를 전송하거나 수신하여 점검하는 방법이다. 모든 점검은 병렬적으로 점검함으로써 최악의 조건에서 장비의 고장유무를 확인한다. 시험한 결과는 약 1시간 동안에 디바이스들은 적게는 482번에서 많게는 15003번 점검하는 것을 확인하였다. 점검 프로그램은 하드웨어 장비의 신뢰성을 검증하는 환경/EMI 시험에 사용한다. This paper propose interacting test programming methods between test equipment and hardware unit to verify function and performance of the hardware unit under test. Proposed test program can minimizes the risk of failures when the unit is mounted on the aircraft by testing and verifying the unit under the worst stress condition. Also, Object oriented design using UML make it easy to apply in other equipments. Test program consists of architecture package and hardware package. Architecture package is in a role for system management, log analysis, message receiving and message analysis. Messages that are used by system management define messages for testing and defined messages is sent and received to test equipment through Ethernet. Hardware package is in a role for hardware management that is needed to be tested and is related to a system. Hardware to be tested is divided into internal test and transmission test. Internal test inspects hardware itself and reports the test results to the test equipment. Transmission test inspects communication device by sending or receiving data. All kinds of test is done in the worst condition of the test unit executing in parallel. Each device is tested at least 482 times and at most 15,003 times about one hour. Test program is utilized in hardware reliability test like as environmental test or EMI test.
