It is not easy to clarify the historical perspective of architect through his architecture. Exceptional cases, it will be the time to design a history museum. As an institution, a Museum already became an apparatus to represent the history to it itself. Libeskind's Jewish museum Berlin has been presented as the controversial case most of all. In particular, in that it instead of dealing with history positive, that contains a tragic history, this building is a building that history a unique interpretation of the architect has been a problem. Therefore, it is difficult to find a suitable example to Libeskind's Jewish museum in Berlin to try and look at the problem of the history of contemporary history and interpretation of the architect. In this paper, I am trying to interpret Libeskind's Jewish Museum Berlin through the aesthetics and history philosophy of Theodor Adorno and Walter Benjamin. They are Jewish and the central figures of the Frankfurt School, known as 'critical theorists'. Their critical theory was formed based on the experience of the Jewish genocide and war.
스마트 홈을 위한 CAN 기반 화재 감지 시스템의 구현

This paper presents a network based fire detection system using CAN, in order to evaluate feasibility of home automation protocol for smart home. In general, because a traditional fire detection system has an analog transmission method with 4-20mA current, it has several shortcomings such as weakness to noise. Hence, as an alternative to the traditional system, this paper presents the architecture of CAN based fire detection system and the design method of CAN communication network. Also, the performance of the suggested system is evaluated through an experimental testbed. Especially, CAN has several advantages such as low cost and easiness of implementation compared to Ethernet or ARCNET, which are low layer of BACNet. Therefore, if CAN is adopted as low layer of BACNet, the home automation system is implemented more effectively.
실시간 폐루프 제어 시스템을 위한 Profibus-FMS 네트워크의 구현

As many sensors and actuators are used in various automated systems, the application of network to real-time distributed control system is gaining acceptance in many industries. In order to take advantages of networking, however, the network should be carefully designed to satisfy real-time distributed control. This paper presents an implementation method of closed-loop control using Profibus-FMS. In order to implement a closed-loop control system, we used industrial computers with Profibus-FMS network cards and a DC servo motor. Through various experiments, the step response of the control system with network was compared with the reference response without network.
IEEE 802.11을 이용한 Profibus 네트워크의 무선 확장 및 성능 평가

This paper focuses on a method to connect mobile devices such as mobile robot. Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) and Unmanned Container Transporter(UCT) to a fieldbus. In this paper, the IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN is used to extend a Profibus network for the mobile devices. In order to integrate these two networks, a gateway is developed using two threads and an internal buffer. Furthermore, a polling algorithm is applied at the gateway in order to satisfy real-time requirements on data communication, Finally, the performance measures such as data latency and throughput are experimentally evaluated on a wirelessly-extended Profibus network. The results shows the feasibility of the wireless extension of Profilbus for various mobile device.

The real-time industrial network, often referred to as fieldbus, is an important element for intelligent manufacturing systems. Thus, in order to satisfy the real-time requirements of field devices, numerous fieldbus protocols have been announced. But, the application of fieldbus has been limited due to the high cost of hardware and the difficulty in interfacing with multi-vendor products. Therefore, as an alternative to fieldbus, the computer network technology, especially Ethernet (IEEE 802.3), is being adapted to the industrial environment. However, the crucial technical obstacle for Ethernet is its non-deterministic behavior that makes it inadequate for industrial applications where real-time data have to be delivered within a certain time limit. Recently, the development of switched Ethernet shows a very promising prospect for industrial application due to the elimination of uncertainties in the network operation resulting in much improved performance. This paper focuses on the application of the switched Ethernet with cascade structure for industrial communications. More specifically, this paper presents an analytical performance evaluation of switched Ethernet with cascade structure, and a case study about networked control system.
