        광역지자체 국내 관광여행 성장 특성 분석

        중앙정부 및 지방정부들이 지역관광 활성화를 중요한 과제로 인식하면서 다양한 관광 정책 및 사업을 추진하고 있다. 이러한 관광 정책 및 사업들이 효율적으로 추진되기 위해서는 지역 관광의 성장 특성을 분석한 후 그 결과에 근거하여 관광 정책 및 사업을 추진할 필요가 있다. 이런 이유로 그동안 변이할당분석을 이용하여 지역 관광의 성장 특성 등을 분석하는 연구들이 수행되었으나 분석에 활용되는 자료의 문제, 분석 기간의 누락 등 한계들이 존재하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 문화체육관광부의 승인통계인「국민여행 실태조사」의 국내 관광여행 총비용 및 국내 관광여행 이동총량 자료를 이용한 동태적 변이할당분석을 통해서 국내 관광여행의 성장 특성을 분석함으로써 선행연구들의 한계를 보완하고자 하였다. 16개 광역지자체의 2011년∼2015년 국내 관광여행 총비용 및 이동총량 자료를 이용한 동태적 변이할당분석 결과 도출된 순상대 효과를 중심으로 광역지자체들의 국내 관광여행 성장이 해당 광역지자체 내부 역량에 기인한 것인지, 국가 성장등 외부 요인에 의한 것인지를 제시하였다. 분석 결과 국내 관광여행 총비용 또는 이동총량이 양적으로는 성장하고 있으나 그 원인이 내부 역량이 아닌 경우가 확인되었다. 이러한 분석 결과를 통해서 광역지자체들의 관광정책 방향 설정시 유의점, 국내 관광여행의 수도권 쏠림 가능성에 따른 중앙 정부의 지역 관광 지원 필요성 등을 시사점을 제안하였다. The tourism industry in many local government seems to be a major component of the regional economy. So many domestic tourism policies and projects are promoted by the local government. Prior to formulation a domestic tourism policy, local government have to analyze the growth of regional domestic tourism. This paper examines regional domestic tourism growth of 16 local governments based on the total domestic travel expenditures and total number of domestic travel days in the 16 local governments from 2011 to 2015. Applying the dynamic shift-share analysis, the paper decomposes regional domestic tourism growth of the 16 local governments into the national growth effect, the industrial mix effect, and the regional share effect. By comparing the results of the dynamic shift-share analysis of the 16 local governments, this paper identifies the causes and effects of regional domestic tourism growth in Korea. The results help to well understand the growth and the competitive situation of regional domestic tourism.

        Diaspora tourism as a framework to understand a host-guest relationship in the context of domestic cultural heritage tourism

        Interactions between tourists and local residents have been long discussed in the tourism literature. However, researchers have focused on the asymmetry between these two groups mainly in the international tourism setting. The existing literature does not provide sufficient framework to explain the host-guest relationship in other contexts of tourism, such as domestic tourism, where visitors and local residents share similar historic and cultural backgrounds based on the same nationality, ancestral roots, culture, and traditions. The purpose of this study is to suggest diaspora tourism as a conceptual framework to shed light on a host-guest relationship at cultural tourism destinations in the context of domestic tourism. First, the literature in host-guest interactions was thoroughly reviewed. Second, cultural heritage tourism in Korea was discussed with the specific case of Hahoe traditional folk village. Third, examining tourists’ search for authenticity, diaspora tourism was highlighted as a new approach to discuss a host-guest relationship in domestic cultural heritage tourism. Lastly, several avenues for future research were suggested based on the commonalities between diaspora tourism and domestic tourism.

      • The current state and prospects of travel business development under the COVID-19 pandemic

        The relevance of this scientific research is determined by the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the current trends and dynamics of world tourism development. This article aims to identify patterns of development of the modern tourist market, analysis of problems and prospects of development in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Materials and methods. General scientific methods and methods of research are used in the work: analysis, synthesis, comparison, analysis of statistical data. The analysis of the viewpoints of foreign and domestic authors on the research of the international tourist market allowed us to substantiate the actual directions of tourism development due to the influence of negative factors connected with the spread of a new coronavirus infection COVID-19. Economic-statistical, abstract-logical, and economic-mathematical methods of research were used during the process of study and data processing. Results. The analysis of the current state of the tourist market by world regions was carried out. It was found that tourism is one of the most affected sectors from COVID-19, as, by the end of 2020, the total number of tourist arrivals in the world decreased by 74% compared to the same period in 2019. The consequence of this decline was a loss of total global tourism revenues by the end of 2020, which equaled $1.3 trillion. 27% of all destinations are completely closed to international tourism. At the end of 2020, the economy of international tourism has shrunk by about 80%. In 2020 the world traveled 98 million fewer people (-83%) relative to the same period last year. Tourism was hit hardest by the pandemic in the Asia-Pacific region, where travel restrictions are as strict as possible. International arrivals in this region fell by 84% (300 million). The Middle East and Africa recorded declines of 75 and 70 percent. Despite a small and short-lived recovery in the summer of 2020, Europe lost 71% of the tourist flow, with the European continent recording the largest drop in absolute terms compared with 2019, 500 million. In North and South America, foreign arrivals declined. It is revealed that a significant decrease in tourist flows leads to a massive loss of jobs, a sharp decline in foreign exchange earnings and taxes, which limits the ability of states to support the tourism industry. Three possible scenarios of exit of the tourist industry from the crisis, reflecting the most probable changes of monthly tourist flows, are considered. The characteristics of respondents from Ukraine, Germany, and the USA and their attitude to travel depending on gender, age, education level, professional status, and monthly income are presented. About 57% of respondents from Ukraine, Poland, and the United States were planning a tourist trip in 2021. Note that people with higher or secondary education were more willing to plan such a trip. The results of the empirical study confirm that interest in domestic tourism has increased significantly in 2021. The regression model of dependence of the number of domestic tourist trips on the example of Ukraine with time tendency (t) and seasonal variations (Turˆt = 7288,498 - 20,58t - 410,88∑5) it forecast for 2020, which allows stabilizing the process of tourist trips after the pandemic to use this model to forecast for any country. Discussion. We should emphasize the seriousness of the COVID-19 pandemic and the fact that many experts and scientists believe in the long-term recovery of the tourism industry. In our opinion, the governments of the countries need to refocus on domestic tourism and deal with infrastructure development, search for new niches, formats, formation of new package deals in new - domestic - segment (new products' development (tourist routes, exhibitions, sightseeing programs, special rehabilitation programs after COVID) -19 in sanatoriums, etc.); creation of individual offers for different target audiences).         내·외국인의 관광수용태세 인식 차이 및 만족도 영향요인 : 대구광역시 관광객을 대상으로

        The purpose of this study is to identify the difference between domestic tourists and foreign tourists' perceptions regarding the readiness of tourism, and to examine the factors affecting tourist satisfaction. The results of this study are as follows. First, there was a significant difference between the perception of domestic tourists and foreign tourists regarding the readiness of tourism. Second, there were a lot of differences between the perception of domestic tourists and foreign tourists regarding accommodation and tourism information sectors. Third, five categories of tourism readiness had significant and positive impacts on domestic and foreign tourists' satisfaction. The findings have some implications for the management of travel and tourism activities. The results of the study extend earlier works by establishing a link between the readiness of tourism and tourist satisfaction. Three sectors of tourism readiness, including food, tourism information, and shopping, had a significant influence on foreign tourist satisfaction. The findings of this study would also offer valuable insights for tourism markerters or planners how to operate differentiated programs to satisfy visitors within tourism settings. 그동안 관광수용태세는부문별 인식수준과관광객 행동간 관계를 규명하고있으며, 관광수용태세에대한 내국인 및 외국인 관광객 간 인식의 차이 및 만족도에 미치는 영향을 파악한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 이에본연구에서는관광수용태세에대한내국인관광객과외국인관광객간인식의차이를규명하고, 관광객 만족도에영향을 미치는 요인들을 검증하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는다음과 같다. 첫째, 관광수용태세에대한내국인관광객과외국인관광객인식 사이에유의한차이가나타났다. 둘째, 관광수용태세 5가지 부문(숙박‧교통‧음식‧쇼핑‧관광안내)에 대한 내국인 및 외국인 관광객 인식의 차이들중에서숙박부문과관광안내부문에대한인식의차이가큰것으로나타났다. 셋째, 관광수용태세5가지부문이 내국인 및 외국인 관광객 만족도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의결과에서 관광수용태세와 관광객 만족도 사이의 관련성을 검증함으로써관광수용태세 관련 선행 연구의 폭을넓혔으며, 구체적으로관광수용태세 5가지 부문들 중음식, 관광안내, 쇼핑부문이 외국인 관광객 만족도에 유의한영향을 미치는 결과를 확인하였다. 또한 본 연구결과는 관광마케터 및 관광계획가들에게 관광객 만족을 위한 차별화된 프로그램을 기획 및 운영하는 데 유용한 자료를 제공하고 있다.

        탈근대 관광의 개념과 그 사회문화적 형성 -국내 관광상품 기획판매자 심층인터뷰의 해석-

        본 연구는 국내관광 트렌드 및 그 사회문화적 형성요인을 파악하고자 국내 관광상품 기획판매자를 심층인터뷰하고 탈근대 관광의 통합론적 개념 모형에 비추어 에틱 관점에서(etic perspective) 이를 해석하였다. 탈근대 관광은 기호와 이미지에 대한 관광소비를 선호하고, 개별화된 관광이 증가하며, 타분야와 융복합된 관광행태의 증가, 지속가능한 관광에 대한 사회적 관심 증가 등의 패턴을 망라하는 개념으로 재정의 될 수 있다. 최근 국내관광 트렌드는 탈근대 관광의 개념적 근간인 ‘컴퓨터 정보기술의 발달’을 배경으로 형성되었으며, 특히 자동차의 보급과 인터넷의 발달로 개별화된 관광이 일반화되었고, TV나 영상매체에서 보여지는 이미지가 기호와 이미지에 대한 관광소비 문화를 이끄는 것으로 인식되었다. 또한, 관광과 타분야가 융복합된 경향은 주로 ‘일상생활, 지역문화, 자녀교육’과 국내관광이 탈분화된 것으로 이해되었으며 여기에는 정부정책, 소득수준 향상, 저출산과 핵가족화, 주5일 수업제와 근무제 등과 같은 사회구조적 요인들이 영향을 미친 것으로 해석되었다. 한편, 환경친화적 관광활동인 ‘걷기’가 최근 사회적 붐을 이루고 있으나, 이는 지속가능한 관광에 대한 관심에 기인하기 보다는 ‘내적 성찰’에 대한 욕구와 건강에 대한 관심, 경제적인 요인들이 복합적으로 작용한 것으로 보인다. Focusing on etic perspective of post-modern tourism concept, author interprets domestic tourism trends and the factors influencing the trends using the in-depth interview data of the domestic tourism providers' in Korea. The concept of post-modern tourism can be re-defined as general tourism trends for consumption of signs and images or preference for experience of simulation, individualized tourism, dedifferentiation of tourism from other domains such as arts, music, education, architecture, sports and so on, and concerning for sustainable tourism. Aesthetic images shown on TV or mass media trigger the tourism consumption of signs and images at destination. The increased number of owner drivers and advanced info-communication technology augment independent tourism trend. Also, the domain of tourism is dedifferentiated from daily life, regional culture, education due to national policies and socio-economic factors such as increase of the income, growing nuclear family households, a five day school week system. Finally, sustainable tourism is not considered as a general tourism trend though some social enterprises and government authority pursue it.

        위드 코로나 시대, 국민 여행행태 변화 분석 및 향후 트렌드

        As the international tourism market has shrunk significantly due to the implementation of travel restrictions to prevent the spread of infectious diseases after COVID-19, the importance of domestic tourism for the recovery of the tourism market is being highlighted. At the same time, changes in tourism trends are expected due to the COVID-19 pandemic, such as increased awareness of tourists' safety and quarantine and preference for nature-friendly and outdoor tourism. In this context, this study analyzes changes in domestic travel behaviors and trends due to COVID-19 using the National Travel Survey 2020 and 2022. Based on the research findings, this study will suggest future domestic tourism trends and policy directions and present meaningful implications that could contribute to the recovery of the domestic tourism market.

        Focusing on how publicly displayed illustrated maps in Japan shed light on domestic tourism, this article has two main sections. The first notes how these maps are of practical value in regard to domestic tourism and makes some observations about their illustrations; topics include the top-ten leisure activities near the beginning and end of the "study period," the relevance of maps for four of these activities, publicly displayed maps as devices for locating places and as advertisements, four different types of non-standard cartographic illustrations that exist on such maps and precedents for them In th ' history of Japanese art, and the illustrations in regard to tourism. The second main section addresses how such maps provide evidence of the high-quality expectations that Japanese have; its topics touch on how the maps are generally of a high quality with trustworthy information, serve as courtesy offerings and/or advertisements with positive images, have as their main "consumers" tourists who are at least moderately wealthy, and include standard Japanese and images that meet contemporary expectations. Included in the article are thirteen maps which were photographed during the study period and a table which categorizes their illustrations according to content; following the text are the end notes, the first of which provides bibliographical information for eleven other publications about such maps.

        관광자의 교통수단 결정요인 분석 - 국내 관광여행을 중심으로 -

        This study investigates the decision-making process of tourists regarding transportation, with a focus on tourism activities from the perspective of the local tourism policy environment and sustainable tourism transportation. By analyzing the means of transportation used by tourists, the study reveals fundamental preferences, perceptions, and potential barriers to using public transportation. The results were categorized into three areas: total travel, tourism-related travel, and non-tourism travel. Key determinants of transport choice included length of stay, whether it was an overnight stay, group travel (especially groups of two or more), and the size of the travel group, all of which showed a significant correlation with transport choice. Tourists who travel frequently each year are more likely to use public transportation, while those who travel for longer periods or stay overnight tend to prefer private transport. The study also found that group trips, particularly with partners, friends, colleagues, or larger groups, are more likely to involve the use of public transport. Additionally, it was discovered that tourists traveling on weekdays are more inclined to use public transport than those traveling on weekends or holidays.
