기독교교육 : 예비 기독교 종교교사의 정체성 형성에 관한 연구

이 연구의 목적은 예비 기독교종교교사들의 삶과 경험을 자료로수집하여 그들의 삶과 경험이 예비 기독교 종교교사로서의 정체성 형성에 어떤 영향을 미쳤는가를 알아보는 것이다. 그리고 연구의 결과를통해서 예비 기독교 종교교사의 정체성에 대한 새로운 가능성을 탐구하였다. 이 연구는 내러티브를 기반으로 하는 질적 연구방법을 수행하였으며, 본 연구를 위해 2014년 현재 서울신학대학교 기독교교육과 4학년40명과 대학원생 5명이 참여하였다. 예비교사들의 정체성 형성과 그들의삶의 이야기를 연결하기 위해서 몇 가지 문제를 제시하였고 그 문제에대한 답을 이야기 형식으로 서술하게 하여 내러티브를 수집할 수 있었다. 여러 차례의 자료수집 강화 과정을 통해서 학부생 28명과 대학원생3명, 총 31명의 자료가 채택되었다. 자료 분석을 통해서 각 문제마다예비교사들에게서 공통적으로 나타나는 삶의 이야기가 무엇인지에 집중하였고, 이야기를 범주화하기 위하여 공통적으로 나타나는 요소들을주제어 중심으로 정리하였는데, 빈도가 흔한 것을 중심으로 정리하였다. 그리고 그 예비교사에게 아주 특징적으로 나타나는 내러티브에도 집중하였는데, 그 특별한 이야기와 교사 정체성 형성과의 관계에 집중하였다. 그리고 이들의 내러티브의 종합적인 의미를 해석하였고 논의를 통해서기독교예비종교교사의 새로운 정체성의 가능성을 진단해 보았다. 분석의 결과는 다음과 같다. 예비 기독교 종교교사들이 정체성을형성하는 데 가장 많은 영향을 준 사람들은 부모님들이었으며, 그분들의희생과 사랑의 정신이 그들로 하여금 희생과 사랑의 교사라는 정체성을형성하게 한 것으로 나타났다. 가장 기억에 남는 수업으로는 수업에서선생님이 자신의 마음을 열고 학생들과 교감한 것을 많이 언급하였는데, 이 경험이 수업에서 인격적으로 학생들과 교류하는 교사의 정체성을형성하게 한 것으로 나타났고, 교육실습 경험을 통해서 자신을 더 반성하는 계기가 되었으며, 교사로서의 모델이 될 만한 현직교사를 만남을통해서 교사로서의 정체성을 형성하게 된 것으로 나타났다. 학과의정기적인 행사뿐 아니라, 자신의 인생의 삶에서 경험하였던 여러 가지일들이 정체성 형성에 도움이 되었는데, 주로 사람들과의 관계에 관련된것이었다. 이는 사람을 돌보고 이해하고 회복시켜주는 경험들이었고, 이 경험들이 기독교 종교교사로서의 정체성 형성에 많은 영향을 미친것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과들과 관련해서 자유학기제와 관련된 인성교육과 교사정체성 형성의 중요한 장치로서 교사 실행 공동체의 중요성에 대한논의를 전개하였다. 기독교 종교교육의 고유성을 지킬 수 있는 성경과기독교 세계관에 대한 내용의 중요성도 강조하였다. The purpose of this study is to explore relationship between the life and experience of Christian preliminary religious teacher and his/her teacher`s identity formation process. This study researches new possibility about the identity of Christian religious teacher. This study is processed through qualitative research based on narrative analysis. In order to carry out this project, 40 senior students and 5 graduate students are involved. This study collects research data by having Christian preliminary religious teacher make narrative of his/her whole life in relation with teacher identity formation. And also, through out severe data collecting process, finally the data from 38 senior student and 3 graduate students are collected. Data analysis is carried out by careful data reading and categorizing the data with key words presented in their narrative. This categorization is used to find out what elements of life experience influence Christian preliminary religious teacher`s identity formation. As a result, parent`s influence is the most important element for Christian preliminary religious teacher in terms of influencing teacher`s identity formation, this influence is connected with the character of love, commitment, trust presented parent`s life. In addition, the most impressive classes are connected with teacher`s attitude of trying to communicate with students in class, this teacher`s attitude influences Christian preliminary religious teacher`s identity formation. And also, life experience in the campus as well as campus out side influence teacher identity formation, this experience mainly connected with caring, serving, servant-hood. In a discussion, this research proposes humanism education in regard to new identity of Christian preliminary religious teacher, because the main elements of humanism education are similar to elements which make help Christian preliminary religious teacher forms his/her identity. Because this humanism education is connected with ‘Free Semester System’ which is one of the most hot issues in Korean education system recently. And also, this project suggests the importance community of practice for Christian preliminary religious teacher`s identity formation because through out this community activity Christian preliminary religious teacher can learn the heart of teacher which should be shared with students in the class, which is one of key points of Christian preliminary religious teacher`s identity. This study emphasizes the importance of the peculiarity of Christianity in Christian religious education.

기독교대학의 정체성 회복 방안: 기독교인 교수의 책임과 역할을 중심으로

The study is an attempt to examine Christian professors’ role and responsibility in the Christian university to recover its Christian identity. For much of this century, the waning influence of religion in Korean universities was viewed as a natural concomitant of modernization, and it was generally seen as a necessary or even a good thing. In recent years most of Christian universities in Korea have been secularized, loosing their identity and a robust relation to their sponsoring religious heritages. Although administrators may define the mission, it is the faculty that gives the university its identity. At this sense, this study of ways to recover the Christian identity in the Korean universities offers a new interpretation of the Christian professors’ responsibility and role for their mission there, arguing that the marginalization of religion in higher education has been lamentable and assigning the blame to institutional leaders, not to the inexorable forces of modernization. The study maintains that a clear declaration of the mission statement of the institution as an important first step is not sufficient, for Christian identity is more of a continuing challenge. A college will not become Christian by issuing a statement to that effect, but by steadily working on letting Christian penetrate all its operations. Christian university is always become in the process of becoming fully Christian. The study provides some measure of the progress toward this challenge. Christian professors are in the forefront as a dynamic driving force for the Christian identity in their university, and regarded as a potent force for a better community and for the development of fuller Christian faith and service in the university. Christian university, therefore, must be at least a core of faculty members who are well versed with the principles of the university religious denomination and must be willing to accept and respect its mission statement. 본 연구는 기독교대학의 정체성이 점차 약해지는 위기 현상들에 대한 주요 원인들을 규명하고 그 회복 방안을 대학 내 기독교인 교수들의 책임과역할을 중심으로 제시하려는 하나의 시도이다. 오늘날 기독교대학들의 정체성이 약화되는 근본적인 원인은 대내외적으로 의도적이며 지속적인 도전들과 유혹들에 직면할 때 적극적으로 대응하지 않는 것이다. 이것은 정체성의위기 현상을 초래한 요인들 중심에 누구보다 먼저 기독교대학의 기독교인교수들이 책임을 느끼고 제 역할을 하지 못한 때문이라는 것을 전제한다. 아울러 기독교대학들의 정체성을 회복할 수 있는 방안까지도 그 대학의 중심적 구성원들인 기독교인 교수들로부터 시작되어야 함을 의미한다. 본 연구는 기독교인 교수들의 책임과 역할을 중심으로 기독교대학의 정체성을 회복할 수 있는 방안들을 제시한다. 첫째로, 기독교인 교수들이 자신이 속한 대학들의 정체성이 약화되고 있다거나 위기 상황을 맞이하고 있다는 평가와 그 원인들을 대학의 설립정신이나 교육이념을 제시하는 사명선언문의 취지를 얼마나 실천하고 있는지에 근거하여 제시한다. 둘째로, 정체성은 시간이 지남에 따라 종교를 과소평가하는 현대화의 과정에서 약화되는경향을 보이며 또한 약화되고 상실되기 시작하면 다시 회복하기 위해 필수적으로 고통스런 과정을 밟아야 하기 때문에, 기독교인 교수들이 대학의 정체성을 약화시키는 다양한 도전들에 대해 얼마나 적극적으로 대응하였으며 항상 분명하게 정체성을 표현했는지를 다룬다. 셋째로, 기독교대학에는스스로 정체성이 약화되고 있거나 표류되고 있는지 점검하고 의도적으로회복하려고 노력하는데 필요한 상당수의 기독교인 교수들이 확보되어야 한다는 것을 논증한다.

공교육 기독교사들의 기독교사로서의 정체성 형성 과정에 관한 연구

이 연구의 목적은 공교육에서 기독교사가 기독교사의 정체성을 형성하는 과정에 대해서 탐구하는 것이다. 다시 말하면, 기독교사가 학교교사의 일을 함에 있어서 기독교 정체성과 교사 정체성을 어떻게 연결시키는가에 대해서 알아보는 것이다. 이 연구의 방법론은 질적연구의 자서전적 방법이다. 이 연구의 자료는 기독교사들의 모임인 사단법인 좋은교사운동에서 발행하는 「좋은교사」에 실려 있는 “좋은교사 좋은만남” 코너에 기독교사들의 이야기를 주 자료로 삼았다. 2012년1월부터 2016년 2월 까지 실린 내용을 연구대상으로 삼았다. 이 중에서 연구에 필요한 자료를 선택하였고, 선택한 자료의 대상자들에게 전화 혹은 만남을 통한 개인적인 인터뷰를 함으로써 더 정확한 자료를 얻어 내용을 보강하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 기독교사들은 교사가 되기 전까지 자신에게 영향을 미친 사건과 인물들을 통해서 기독교사의 정체성이 형성되기 시작하였고, 교사가 된 후 기독교사 실천공동체를 통해서 그 정체성이 더욱더 공고히 형성된 것으로 나타났다. 기독교사들이 교사가 되기 전 그들의 기독교사 정체성에 영향을 미친 것들은 하나님의 사랑을 체험했던 일, 대학에서의 기독동아리 활동, 목회자와 교사사이의 갈등, 학교 선생님의 영향, 어린 시절 상처의 회복 등이 있다. 교사가 된 후에는 기독교사들이 교사직을 수행하면서 만나게 되는 일들 특히 내적 혹은 외적 갈등의 상황에서 교사로서의 정체성이 흔들리는 경우가 많이 있었다. 이 연구에서는 그 갈등을 해결하는 과정에 초점을 맞추었는데 특히 기독교사들의 실천공동체의 역할에 초점을 맞추었다. 결국 기독교사들이 현직의 상황에서 여러 가지 이유로 교사정체성이 흔들릴 때 이 실천공동체에서 어떤 일들이 있었고 이것이 어떻게 교사정체성 회복으로 연결되었는지에 대해 연구하였다. 실천공동체의 역할은 신앙회복으로의 장의로서의 교사실천공동체, 전문성학습의 장으로서의 교사실천공동체, 이상과 현실의 조화의 장으로서의 교사실천공동체, 지속적 재생산으로의 교사실천공동체 등으로 나타났다. The purpose of this paper is to explore the Christian teacher identity formation process of Christian teacher in public school. That is this paper deals with how to make connection between Christian identity and teacher identity by Christian teacher in public school. The method of this study is the autobiographical methods in qualitative research method. This research collects research data from Jan. 2012 to Feb. 2016 in the story of “good teacher, good meeting” in the magazine of 『Good Teacher』, published by the movement of good teacher. The result of this study would be divided in the period of “before teacher” and “current teacher.” In the period of “before teacher”; Research participants insist the experience of God’s love such as the experience of healing from serious illness is the foundation of Christian teacher identity; Research participants assert the activity of ‘practice of community’ in the college periods makes them develop their belief from abstract belief to concrete belief, and this activity makes them enhance teacher competency of solving real problem in the school environment; Research participants suggest that the influence from ‘their good teachers’ is one of the elements of Christian teacher identity; Research participants explain that the experience of recovering from their ‘heart break’ in their youth period is one of the elements of Christian teacher identity. In the period of “current teacher”, research participants assert the activity of the community of practice, such as learning community, is the most important element which effects Christian teacher identity. They argue that the functions of the community of practice in Christian teacher identity formation. The functions of community of practice are the field of recovering belief, the field of changing from beginner teacher to skilled teacher, the field of practical training of balancing between ideal belief and real world belief, and the field of expanding more detailed and specialized community than previous community, which make research participants develop their Christian teacher identity continuously.

일반 : 기독교 대학 학생들의 자아 정체성에 관한 연구

본 연구는 기독교 대학 학생들의 자아 정체성을 파악하여 오늘날 기독교 대학의 학생들이 기독교인으로서 어떠한 자기 인식을 지니고 있는지를 파악 하고자 하였다. 이러한 시도는 기독교 대학이 기독교 대학으로서의 정체성을 얼마만큼 확고히 하고 있는지를 파악할 수 있는 하나의 지표가 될 수 있을 것이며, 기독교 대학 학생들의 자아 정체성 연구는 기독교 대학이 존립하는 이유를 분명히 하고 그 나아갈 방향을 검토할 수 있다는 측면에서 의의를 갖게 될 것이다. 또한 기독교 대학이 나아갈 방향성을 제시할 수 있다는 측면에서 기독교적 가치관을 회복할 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 의식 하에 다음과 같이 연구가 진행되었다. 먼저 기독교 대학의 현황을 파악하기 위해 대학 이념 및 교과목의 기독교 자아 정체성 형성에 미치는 영향 등을 분석 하였으며, 다음으로 기독교 대학에 다니는 학생들의 기독교적 자아 정체성과 신앙적 가치관을 파악하였고, 마지막으로 기독교적 자아 정체성에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예측되는 변수들을 파악하였다. 기독교 대학 학생들의 자아 정체성에 가장 영향을 미치는 변수로는 대학의 이념과 가치의 자아 정체성 도움 정도로 나타났고, 성경과목의 기독교 자아 정체성에의 영향정도가 그다음으로 나타나고 있다. 기독교 정체성에 대한 조망과 대응

Today, Korean Christianity is facing an identity crisis; the postmodern world of relativism provides a rich breeding ground for various elements which undermine the identity of the Korean Church. Through this paper, I seek to define such elements, provide practical solutions to address and counter such elements, and offer guidelines to establish a truly biblical Christian identity for the Korean Church. First, a biblical Christian identity acknowledges the importance of establishing the Christian identity upon the firm foundation of the Bible; Christianity cannot be based on a foundation which does not acknowledge the Bible as the inspired Word of God and the complete standard by which Christians are meant to construct and live their lives. Second, I emphasize the importance of correctly and accurately understanding Jesus Christ, the central element and cornerstone of Christian identity. Jesus Christ is the fundamental agent of our justification, sanctification, and glorification; thus a Christian picture without the centerpiece of Jesus Christ is simply humanism and the Gospel without Christ is but mere philosophy. All of the moral, philosophical, or religious doctrines in the world can never replace the message of Christ. Third, Christian identity within the postmodern world can only be secured by Christians whose faith and lives are unified and practiced consistently. 이 연구는 기독교대학이 어떻게 기독교 정체성을 유지하고 발전시킬 수 있을까 하는 점에 초점을 두었다. 현재 기독교대학들은 입학생의 감소와 재정약화, 타대학과의 치열한 경쟁 등으로 존립의 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이런 상황 속에서 기독교대학들의 모습은 생존을 위해 신앙적인 면과 학문적 탁월성을 동시에 잡으려고 애를 쓰고 있는 것으로 보인다. 그러나 현실은 그리 우호적이지 않다. 교내에서는 교수나 직원은 기독교인이어야 한다는 조건의 철폐를 주장하기도 하고, 학생들은 종교선택의 자유를 주장하며 채플 수업을 거부하거나 기독교과목 수강에 강한 불만을 표시하기도 한다. 여기에 다원주의와 포스트모던의 영향으로 기독교대학이 갖고 있는 기독교 정체성마저 흔들리는 위기에 처해 있다. 이처럼 기독교대학의 정체성 유지와 기독교대학으로서의 차별화에 어려움을 겪고 있는 것이 오늘 기독교대학이 처한 형편이다. 그러면 어떻게 기독교 정체성을 유지할 수 있을까? 1학년 학생들을 대상으로 설문 조사 결과, 채플이나 기독교 과목보다 사회봉사를 통해 기독교 정체성을 유지할 수 있을 것이라는 답이 도출되었다. 현대 숭실대학교에는 ‘섬김의 리더십’과 ‘사회봉사실천’ 과목이 개설되어 있고, 방학에는 해외봉사프로그램이 마련되어 있다. 사회봉사프로그램은 학생들로 하여금 타인의 삶에 관심을 갖게 하고 타인과 더불어 사는 공동체의 중요성을 깨닫게 하는 중요한 과정이라 할 수 있다. 아울러 사회봉사경험을 통해 자신을 돌아보고 사회의 문제점을 자각하며 스스로 책임있는 시민으로 살아가도록 이끌어 주는 데 도움을 줄 것이다. 기독교대학의 사회봉사는 기독교 사랑을 사회에 반영하며 실천하는 귀한 방편이다. 봉사활동을 통해 교육적 가치와 사회적 가치 그리고 자주적 가치를 함양할 수 있음을 인지하고 봉사영역의 확대와 능동적 참여를 유도할 수 있는 방안이 강구되어야 할 것이다. 사회봉사활동을 통해 기독교대학의 사회적 책임을 표출하며 기독교 정체성을 회복하고 발전시키도록 해야 할 것이다. This study is focused on education programs for maintaining and developing identity of Christian University. It is a time of crisis for Christian universities due to reduction of entering students, lack of finances, severe competition with other universities and so on. It seems that Christian universities try to have spiritual excellency and academic excellency at the same time for survival. The reality, however, is not amicable. Some insist to rescind the condition that professors and staff must be Christians; some students assert the freedom to choose religion and to deny chapel class or to express strong discontent to take Christian subjects. In addition, Christian identity of Christian universities are shaking by pluralism and post–modern influence. In this vein Christian universities have difficulties to maintain their Christian identity. Then, how do we maintain Christian identity? We have surveyed freshman students and have got results that we are able to maintain Christian identity through social service rather than chapel class or Christian subjects. At present time, Soongsil University offers ‘Servant leadership’ class and ‘Practice of Social Service’ classes; and overseas service programs during vacation time. Social service program is an important process for the students to be concerned about others’ life and community life. This program may help them to look themselves and realize social problems through their experiences, and lead them to live as responsible citizens. Christian universities’ social service is a valuable means to reflect and practice Christian love to the society. Acknowledging educational, social and voluntary values through voluntary service, it is necessary to take a proper step to guide extension of social sphere and positive participation. Christian universities may express their social responsibility and recover and develop Christian identity through social voluntary services.

기독교교육과 학생들의 진로 동기 분석 ― A대학교 기독교교육과 사례를 중심으로

This article examines career guidance strategies for students of Christian education department through a statistical study on students’ career motivation. Elements of career motivation are regarded as career resilience, career insight, and career identity. This article analyzes the difference of career motivation between students of the Christian education department and other college of A University, gender and grade difference of students of the Christian Education department, differences among participation experience of non subject curriculum, practice experience, social service experience. Within the analysis results, students of the Christian education department have higher level of career motivation than other college students of A University. Male students of the Christian education department have higher of career resilience, career insight, and career identity than female students. Students who were experienced in the non-subject matter program have higher level of career identity that those who were not experienced in the non-subject matter program. Students who had experienced practice have higher level of career resilience, career insight and career identity. Students who had experienced social service have higher level of career resilience and career identity. Career guidance strategy of this study is as followings: specialized career guidance of the department of Christian education, reinforcement of participation of the non-subject matter program, reinforcement of experience of practical affairs, reinforcement of experience in social service, establishment of career education direction with Christian view. 본 연구는 수도권 소재 A대학교 기독교교육과 학생들의 ‘진로 동기’를 분석하기 위하여 ‘진로 탄력성’, ‘진로 통찰력’, ‘진로 정체성’에 관한 문항을계량적으로 탐색하고 진로 지도 방안을 탐구하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본연구는 A대학교 기독교교육과 재학생 109명과 단과대학 재학생 1,893 명을 대상으로 기독교교육과 학생들과 단과대학 학생들 간의 ‘진로 동기’ 차이, 기독교교육과 학생들의 성별 및 학년 간 ‘진로 동기’ 차이, 비교과프로그램 참여 경험 ․ 실무 경험 ․ 사회봉사 경험의 유무에 따른 ‘진로 동기’ 차이를 분석하였다. 기독교교육과 학생들은 예술대학 학생들과 비슷한 ‘진로 동기’ 수준을 가졌으며, 단과대학 학생들보다 ‘진로 동기’ 수준이높았다. 기독교교육과의 남학생들은 여학생들보다 ‘진로 탄력성’, ‘진로통찰력’, ‘진로 정체감’이 높았으며, 학년 간 차이는 없었다. 비교과 프로그램 참여 경험이 있는 학생들은 비교과 프로그램 참여 경험이 없는 학생들보다 ‘진로 정체감’이 높았으며 실무 경험이 있는 학생들은 실무 경험이 없는 학생보다 ‘진로 탄력성’, ‘진로 통찰력’, ‘진로 정체감’이 높았다. 사회봉사 경험이 있는 학생은 사회봉사 경험이 없는 학생들에 비해 ‘진로탄력성’과 ‘진로 정체감’이 높았다. 본 연구는 기독교교육과의 특성화된진로 지도, 비교과 프로그램 참여의 강화, 실무 경험의 강화, 사회봉사경험의 강화, 기독교적 진로 교육 방향 수립 등을 제시한다.

기독교상담자의 정체성 : 영적 자질을 중심으로

기독교상담에 대한 관심과 학문적 발전은 이 분야의 저변 확대를 이루었다. 그러나 현실적으로는 일반상담과의 차별성이나 독특성을 찾기 어려운 실정이어서, 정체성의 혼란이 초래되고 있다. 이러한 상황은 곧 기독교상담자의 정체성 혼란으로 연결되기 때문에, 기독교상담 정체성 요인으로서의 기독교상담자에 대한 논의가 필요한 시점이다. 이에 본 연구는 기독교상담자의 영적 자질에 대해 고찰하고, 영적 자질 향상을 위한 과제를 제시하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구의 전개는 먼저 기독교상담의 정의와 목표 및 특성을 살피고, 이를 근거로 기독교상담자에 대한 보다 깊은 이해를 제공함으로써 영적 자질이 정체성 형성의 핵심 요인임을 통찰하였다. 영적 자질 향상을 위해서는 첫째, 학회 차원의 과제로서 커리큘럼 편성과 필수 교육과정으로 기독교세계관 배정, 슈퍼비전에서 영성 문제 다루기를 제안하였다. 둘째, 상담자 개인 차원의 과제로 철저한 개인 훈련과 기독교자원 활용, 상담 장면에서 내담자에게 복음을 제시하기 위한 효과적인 방안 모색 및 실천을 강조하였다. 그리고 구체적인 방법에 대한 면밀한 검토와 적극적 논의를 제안하였다. 본 연구는 기독교상담자들이 참된 정체성을 확립하고, 기독교상담을 통하여 이 땅에 하나님 나라를 확장하는 사명을 감당하는 데 기여할 수 있을 것이다. The purpose of this study is to examine spiritual qualities as identity factors of Christian counselors and to suggest tasks for improvement of spiritual qualities. The study first explored the definitions, goals, and characteristics of Christian counseling, which are differentiated from general counseling, and provided a deeper understanding of Christian counselors based on this, and it was insighted that spiritual qualities could be a key factor in the formation of identity. In order to improve the spiritual qualities of Christian counselors, first, I proposed to organize curriculum as an academic society level task, to assign Christian world view to essential curriculum, and to deal spirituality problem in supervision. second, the counselors emphasized the effective use of personal training and Christian resources as an individual task, and an effective plan for presenting the gospel to the client in the counseling scene. and I suggested a close examination of the concrete method and an active discussion. In order to improve the spiritual qualities of Christian counselors, first, I proposed curriculum as an academic society level assignment, Christian world view assignment as essential curriculum, and spirituality problem in supervision. Christian counselors will be able to contribute to fulfilling the mission of establishing true identity and expanding the kingdom of God on earth through Christian counseling.
