        Fuzzy Sliding Mode Adaptive Backstepping Control of Multiple Motors Winding System Based on Disturbance Observer

        This paper studies multi-motor winding system with strong coupling and easily aff ected by parameters perturbation and load disturbance. First, a fuzzy non-singular fast terminal sliding mode controller and a fuzzy adaptive sliding mode controller are designed to control the speed loop and tension loop of the system respectively, which achieves system dynamic decoupling between speed and tension. Then, an adaptive backstepping controller is designed for the current loop of the system so that the parameters perturbation can be estimated by the adaptive law, which is applied to the feed-forward compensation. At the same time, a disturbance observer is used to estimate the total torque of the motor that includes load disturbance and tension torque. Finally, the simulation and some experimental results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed control algorithm.

        Perovskite oxides as transparent semiconductors: a review

        Traditional transparent conducting oxides (TCOs) have been widely used for various optoelectronic applications, but have the trade-off between conductivity and transmittance. Recently, perovskite oxides, with structural and chemical stability, have exhibited excellent physical properties as new TCOs. We focus on ­SrVO 3 -based perovskites with a high carrier concentration and ­BaSnO 3 -based perovskites with a high mobility for n-type TCOs. In addition, p-type perovskites are discussed, which can serve as potential future options to couple with n-type perovskites to design full perovskite based devices.

      • An Adaptive Network Prediction and Judgment Method for Unstable Communication on Moving Medical Vehicles

        To evaluate the wireless network condition on moving medial vehicles and make reasonable judgment among multiple network channels, an automatic network judgment method is presented for unstable communication environment based on adaptive network speed analysis and prediction method. Historical network observation data are collected; time series analysis method and ARMA model are employed to build prediction model using historical data statistics with periodical update mechanism. Predicted network speed value is then compared with real speed value and a criterion to identify the condition of network is summarized from comparison result analysis. Experiments are conducted in both normal network and interfered network situations. Empirical studies results show that the adaptive prediction method could be used for wireless network speed prediction on moving vehicles. Under different network environments, the fit value of each group of data varies and this value could be used for network problem identification.

        Ginsenoside Rg3 ameliorates myocardial glucose metabolism and insulin resistance via activating the AMPK signaling pathway

        Background: Ginsenoside Rg3 is one of the main active ingredients in ginseng. Here, we aimed to confirm its protective effect on the heart function in transverse aortic coarctation (TAC)-induced heart failure mice and explore the potential molecular mechanisms involved. Methods: The effects of ginsenoside Rg3 on heart and mitochondrial function were investigated by treating TAC-induced heart failure in mice. The mechanism of ginsenoside Rg3 for improving heart and mitochondrial function in mice with heart failure was predicted through integrative analysis of the proteome and plasma metabolome. Glucose uptake and myocardial insulin sensitivity were evaluated using micro-positron emission tomography. The effect of ginsenoside Rg3 on myocardial insulin sensitivity was clarified by combining in vivo animal experiments and in vitro cell experiments. Results: Treatment of TAC-induced mouse models with ginsenoside Rg3 significantly improved heart function and protected mitochondrial structure and function. Fusion of metabolomics, proteomics, and targeted metabolomics data showed that Rg3 regulated the glycolysis process, and Rg3 not only regulated glucose uptake but also improve myocardial insulin resistance. The molecular mechanism of ginsenoside Rg3 regulation of glucose metabolism was determined by exploring the interaction pathways of AMPK, insulin resistance, and glucose metabolism. The effect of ginsenoside Rg3 on the promotion of glucose uptake in IR-H9c2 cells by AMPK activation was dependent on the insulin signaling pathway. Conclusions: Ginsenoside Rg3 modulates glucose metabolism and significantly ameliorates insulin resistance through activation of the AMPK pathway.

        Physicochemical Properties of Low-Phytate Rice Cultivar, Sang-gol

        Phytic acid in grains affects the bioavailability of minerals and nutrients in monogastric animals. Physicochemical properties of Sang-gol, a low-phytate rice cultivar developed to decrease anti-nutrient effect of phytic acid, were compared with those of its parent rice cultivar Il-pum. The amylose content of Sang-gol was lower, but its crude protein content was not significantly different compare with Il-pum. Texture profiles of cooked rice, except for hardness, adhesiveness and chewiness, did not show any differences. The hardness, adhesiveness and chewiness of the Sang-gol were lower than that of Il-pum. Pasting characteristics, peak viscosity, trough, and final viscosity of Sanggol were higher, and breakdown was lower, as compared to Ilpum. Setback of Il-pum was significantly (p <0.01) lower than Ilpum. The pasting temperatures of Sang-gol and Il-pum were very similar (68.1 and 68.0oC), respectively.

        Efficient conversion of fructose to 5-[(formyloxy)methyl]furfural by reactive extraction and in-situ esterification

        5-[(Formyloxy)methyl]furfural (FMF), an analogue of 5-(hydroxymethyl)furfural (HMF) is becoming more attractive due to its superior stability and hydrophobicity, which make it easier to refineand store. In the present study, FMF was produced from fructose by one-pot approach in pure formic acid media or by a two-step approach via HMF in choline chloride (ChCl)/fructose deep eutectic solvents (DES) system. A favorable FMF yield of 63.22% was reached by two-step approach. In addition, the effects of reaction parameters, such as temperature and acidity, on preparation of FMF from fructose were systematically investigated. The dehydration of fructose into HMF was confirmed as the rate-controlling step in the consecutive reaction. Ultimately, the separation and purification procedures of FMF were put forward. The FMF with a purity of 98.8% was obtained finally. Meanwhile, the FMF purified by saturated sodium bicarbonate solution showed an excelled storage stability.

        Molecular detection and genetic diversity of bovine papillomavirus in dairy cows in Xinjiang, China

        Background: Bovine papillomatosis is a type of proliferative tumor disease of skin and mucosae caused by bovine papillomavirus (BPV). As a transboundary and emerging disease in cattle, it poses a potential threat to the dairy industry. Objectives: The aim of this study is to detect and clarify the genetic diversity of BPV circulating in dairy cows in Xinjiang, China. Methods: 122 papilloma skin lesions from 8 intensive dairy farms located in different regions of Xinjiang, China were detected by polymerase chain reaction. The genetic evolution relationships of various types of BPVs were analyzed by examining this phylogenetic tree. Results: Ten genotypes of BPV (BPV1, BPV2, BPV3, BPV6, BPV7, BPV8, BPV10, BPV11, BPV13, and BPV14) were detected and identified in dairy cows. These were the first reported detections of BPV13 and BPV14 in Xinjiang, Mixed infections were detected, and there were geographical differences in the distribution of the BPV genotypes. Notably, the BPV infection rate among young cattle (< 1-year-old) developed from the same supply of frozen sperm was higher than that of the other young cows naturally raised under the same environmental conditions. Conclusions: Genotyping based on the L1 gene of BPV showed that BPVs circulating in Xinjiang China displayed substantial genetic diversity. This study provided valuable data at the molecular epidemiology level, which is conducive to developing deep insights into the genetic diversity and pathogenic characteristics of BPVs in dairy cows.
