The network switches and routers require both highspeedand large-capacity packet buffers. However, existing packetbuffer architectures have the problems of speed scaling and flownumber scaling limitations. To address the two problems simultaneously,this paper proposes a parallel hybrid SRAM/DRAMarchitecture for per-flow buffering in high-speed switches androuters. Tail SRAM and head SRAM are used to apply per-flowbuffering for packet aggregation, so that the middle DRAM is accessedin a larger granularity and the DRAM’s bandwidth utilizationis improved. To mitigate the flow number scaling limitation,a dynamic memory allocation with hard timeout (DMA-HT) memorymanagement algorithm is designed. The key idea of DMA-HTis that the memory space is dynamically allocated for the newly arrivedflows, and a hard timeout is assigned for each queue. Aftera specific period of time, the memory space is freed, so that theSRAM space is efficiently utilized by the most recently active flows. A queuing system is used to model the proposed method, and theoreticalanalysis is performed to optimize the timeout value. Withthe derived formulas, multiple performance parameters are quantitativelyanalyzed, and the optimal timeout can be obtained. Bothnumerical results and simulations show that the proposed architecturecan and reduce packet loss rate and average delay significantlycompared with previous solutions with the same SRAM capacity.

Background: To explore the independent prognostic factors for the recurrence/metastasis of patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (LANPC). Materials and Methods: A total of 604 patients initially diagnosed as LANPC by pathohistology in Fujian Provincial Cancer Hospital were selected to analyze the relationship between the clinical pathological patterns, therapeutic protocols and clinical stages with the recurrence/metastasis of LANPC. Results: The 1-, 3- and 5-year locoregionally recurrent rates of LANPC patients were 2.0%, 9.5% and 12.9% respectively, with average recurrent period being 78 months. Univariate analysis results indicated that clinical stages had certain influence on the recurrent period of LANPC patients. However, COX regression models showed that ages, genders and clinical stages were not the independent prognostic factors influencing the recurrence. The 1-, 3- and 5-year metastatic rates of LANPC patients were 6.6%, 17.5% and 18.8% respectively, with average metastatic period of 73 months. Univariate analysis results demonstrated that ages, N stages, clinical stages, locations of lymph node, retropharyngeal lymph node and extracapsular invasion of lymph node had certain influence on the metastatic period of LANPC patients. Additionally, further COX regression analysis results suggested that T stages, reduction protocols and extracapsular invasion of lymph node were the independent prognostic factors influencing the metastasis of patients with LANPC, in which T stages and extracapsular invasion of lymph node were the pestilent factors while reduction protocols the protective factor. Conclusions: Induction chemotherapy is beneficial to LANPC patients with initial treatment, and the metastatic rate decreases greatly after the application of reduction chemotherapy.

Detection of the number of vegetative cells and endospores is necessary for quality control during the production of orally administered probiotic Bacillus licheniformis-containing tablets (BCT). However, there is no standard method for the rapid detection of vegetative cells and endospores in China. In this study, a simple flow cytometry (FCM) method was used to monitor the population dynamics of BCT. Using a specific fluorescent stain, SYBR green I, flow cytometric analysis could easily differentiate two morphological states of B. licheniformis. Compared with plate count assay (PCA) for determining the number of vegetative cells and endospores, the percentage of endospores determined by FCM was ~10% higher than that by PCA. Advantages of the FCM method over conventional methods include lower labor work, shorter detection time, and higher accuracy. Therefore, this simple FCM method could be a practical tool for monitoring quality control during the production of probiotic BCT

상해(Shanghai)시는 1990년대부터 푸동(浦東, Pudong) 개발을 계기로 중국경제의 중심지로 부상하고 있지만 저출산, 고령화, 노동력 부족 등 인구문제에 있어서 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 연구는 먼저, 제6차 인구센서스자료에 대한 분석을 통해 급격히 증가하는 외래유입인구가 상해시의 연령구조를 바꾸면서 상해시의 인구문제를 완화했음을 설명한다. 다음으로 외래유입인구에 의해 발생된 연령구조 변환에 대한 특성을 분석하여 상해시의 연령구조 변환이 외래유입인구를 본 국민과의 차별적 처우를 바탕으로 한 “반도시화 과정”에 의해 이뤄진 첨가식 변환임을 지적한다. 마지막으로 본 연구는 이러한 첨가식 변환에 의해 만들어진 연령구조는 연령집단간, 연령집단내의 단절을 특징으로 하고 있음을 지적하고, 이는 사회부양관계의 불확실성과 불안정성으로 이어져 상해시의 인구문제 해결에 도움이 되지 않는다는 사실도 밝히고자 한다. Since the Open up of Pudong in 1990, Shanghai has been emerging as China’s economic center. However, it is also suffering from low birth rate, aging, and lack of labor force. In this study, how the immigrants have changed the population structure and eased the population problems in Shanghai are illustrated by analyzing the 6th population census. Next, it is pointed out that these changes did not occur under the real fusion of local household-registered population and immigrants but under the precondition that immigrants are treated differently and these changes are result of “Semi-Urbanization”. Last, the features of disconnection in and between different age groups resulted from these changes are studied and these features are considered disadvantages for resolving population problems in Shanghai for the uncertainty and instability of social dependency relations they caused. Supplementary policy recommendations are also made.

기존 스마트 디바이스의 백 내비게이션 구조는 Hierarchy Back 과 History Back 겸해서 사용하기에 혼잡하다. 그리고 백 기능이 화면의 상단에 위치해 Thumb Zone 을 벗어나 있다는 문제점이 있다. 이 연구는 모바일 앱 사용 시 화면 간 이동의 조작적 효율성을 높이기 위해 제스처를 활용한 인터페이스를 구체적으로 제안하였고, 가능성을 확인하였다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.

Purpose: We investigated whether recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (rhG-CSF) could promote the development of preinvasive and invasive breast cancer in mouse mammary tumor virus (MMTV-erbB2) mice with estrogen receptor- positive tumors. Methods: MMTV-erbB2 mice were randomly divided into three experimental groups with 20 mice in each group. MMTV-erbB2 mice were treated with daily subcutaneous injections of vehicle or rhG-CSF (low-rhG-CSF group, rhG-CSF 0.125 μg; vehicle-rhG-CSF group, normal saline 0.25 μg; and high-rhG-CSF group, rhG-CSF 0.25 μg) at 3 months of age. Cellular and molecular mechanisms of G-CSF action in mammary glands were investigated via immunohistochemistry and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. Results: Low, but not high, rhG-CSF doses significantly accelerated mammary tumorigenesis in MMTV-erbB2 mice. Short-term treatment with rhG-CSF could significantly promote the development of preinvasive mammary lesions. The cancer prevention effect was associated with reduced expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen, cluster of differentiation 34, and signal transducers and activators of transcription 3 in mammary glands by >80%. Conclusion: We found that G-CSF was regulated by rhG-CSF both in vitro and in vivo. Identification of G-CSF genes helped us further understand the mechanism by which G-CSF promotes cancer. Low doses of rhG-CSF could significantly increase tumor latency and increase tumor multiplicity and burden. Moreover, rhG-CSF effectively promotes development of both malignant and premalignant mammary lesions in MMTV-erbB2 mice.

This study explored the third-person effect with respect to harmful contents of personal internet broadcasting including profanities, violence and suggestive content. The summary and discussion of its findings are as follows. A questionnaire survey was conducted to verify third-person effect in the context of personal internet broadcasting and its hazards. Results of the study revealed viewers" biased perception toward others in regard to the harmful effects of personal internet broadcasting and partially confirmed the presence of third-person effect in connection with social distance. Self-esteem had influence on the regulating attitude toward profanities and suggestive content. Study results revealed that perceived effects of personal internet broadcasting on oneself may influence viewers" support of regulations. And also reveald that the magnitude of perceptive bias was less in adults when compared to college students, who have less social distance between one another.
