<P>To identify effective herb to treat obesity, we screened 115 herbal extracts for inhibition of porcine pancreatic lipase (triacylg-ycerol acylhydrolase, EC 3.1.1.3) activity <I>in vitro</I>. Of the extracts tested, <I>Cudrania tricuspidata</I> leaves exhibited the most pronounced inhibitory effect on lipase activity with an IC<SUB>50</SUB> value of 9.91 <I><I>μ</I></I>g/mL. Antilipid absorption effects of <I>C. tricuspidata</I> leaves were examined in rats after oral administration of lipid emulsions containing 50 or 250 mg <I>C. tricuspidata</I>/kg body weight. Plasma triacylglycerol levels 2 h after the oral administration of emulsions containing <I>C. tricuspidata</I> were significantly reduced compared to the untreated group (<I>P</I> < 0.05). These results suggest that <I>C. tricuspidata</I> leaves may be useful for the treatment of obesity.</P>

Laser marking as information storage being instead of existent means But the mechanism drops lucid analysis yet in spite of that is gone for a few years although certainly is difficult and only hypothesis exists to only some scientists. In this paper the measurement of time resolved reflectivity offer much information to understanding mechanism about melting and mass motion of material Specially we wish to prove that this under basis proposition that recoil pressure incline by ablation becomes motive power of melting material. All marking mechanism is completed in about 100ns, suddenly reflectivity is rising and polarization is changed in pit formation area. These are classified into two mechanisms, the first is act of recoil pressure, the second is act of cooling and contraction.

Since 1980 making the simple image and words had started with a set of the point made by the scanning of laser beam into a transparent material. This is used t o make memorial trophy and goods for tourist with the crystal transparent material. However the crystal has a fault that it is easy to broken for the shock difficult to processing of the changing shape and more heavy than other materials. This paper might revise that by using PMMA which is light in weight and low in price. The PMMA and crystal has alike refractive index And the PMMA also could be making the point to inside as ever crystal. I observed the visibility of images according to output power by use the pulsed Nd YAG laser It has been observed to make improvement in the visibility of images according to output power of the laser when the interval of points has the distance of 150㎛. And also the crack surrounding of points were influenced to visibility by scattering of light. The images become visible when the output power of laser is less than 90% and the number of point increasing.

We analyze the heat transfer and the deformation in an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) plastic by using Nd:YAG pulse laser irradiation. We perform the simulation and the experiment; then, we compare the simulation results with the experimental results. We find the relations both between the heat distribution of the ABS plastic and the laser irradiation conditions and between the deformation of the ABS plastic and the laser irradiation conditions.

Our previous study demonstrated that successive electroacupuncture (EA) at ST36 acupoint reduces IgE production in BALB/c mice immunizec with 2,4-dinitrophenylated keyhole limpet protein (DNP-KLH) by suppression of the Th2 cell lineage development. Here, we report that pretreatment of phentolamine (α-adrenoceptor antagonist, 10 mg/kg, i.p.) completely blocks the EA-induced suppression of antigen-specifie and total IgE levels in serum and IL-4 production in anti-CD3 mAb-activated splenocytes in DNP-KLH immunized mice. The results suggest that α-adrenoceptor play an important role in mediating the suppressive effects of EA on IgE production and Th2 cell response in DNP-KLH immunized mice.

Objective : The aim of this study is to investigate current status of Sasang constitutional medicine researches and to provide source in setting a development strategy and making a policy on the Sasang constitutional medicine. Method : This study analyzed trends in research as represented in the 142 articles of Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine in the field of Sasang constitution medicine from 2007 to 2010. Result : The main themes of studies were Sasang constitution clinical study (68, 47%) and developing instruments for measuring diagnosis (48, 33%), especially pulse diagnosis (25, 17%). Genetic researches and trends studies on Sasang constitutional medicine were respectively 17 (12%) and 8 (5%). As a result, Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine established Sasang clinical information bank, and discovered clinical character of Sasang constitution to develope various diagnosis tools include constitution survey form and pulse diagnosis instrument. Genetic researches also discover constitution related genes such as FTO and MC4R, and explore association between heredity and Sasang constitution. Conclusion : The abovementioned achievements of Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine were limited to diagnosis process. unquestionably studies for reproducibility and authenticity of constitution diagnosis were important mission of Sasang constitutional medicine. However, to develop the advance of Sasang constitutional medicine, not only constitution diagnosis but also constitutional treatment studies should be conducted.

본 연구는 60mm수형박격포 개발에 대한 연구이다. 60mm수형박격포의 운용방식을 분석하였으며, 기존 일반적인 박격포와의 차이점을 검토하였다. 세계적으로 주요한 수형박격포에 대해 장단점을 분석하였다. 대한민국형 60mm수형박격포 시제품을 개발하였으며, 실제 사격시험을 수행하여 그 결과를 기술하였다. 또한 대한민국 육군과 해병대의 전술적 운용개념을 제안하였다. This study is a on the development of a 60mm handheld(Commando) mortar. The operation method of the 60mm handheld(Commando) mortar was analyzed, and the difference between the operation method of the conventional 60mm mortar and the operation method was examined. We reviewed the world's major 60mm handheld(Commando) mortars and analyzed their advantages and disadvantages. A prototype model of the Korean handheld(Commando) mortar was developed, and the actual shooting test results were described. In addition, we will present tactical operation plans for the Republic of Korea Army and Marine Corps.

In this paper, we study experimentally the local polishing of SiO₂ surface using the CO₂ laser. For laser local polishing, we polished to remove the grooves or to be reformed the surface of grooves after forming the grooves on the material surface. We measured the reflectance, transmittance, and beam profile in order to measure the roughness of polished surface. The Atom Force Microscope (AFM) is used to measure roughness of local polishing surface. We can predict that the laser polishing contribute to the removal of generated debris and surface roughness on the micro processing.
