중학생의 사회적 지지와 삶의 만족도의 구조적 관계

        신유진(Youjin Shin),정혜원(Hyewon Chung) 학습자중심교과교육학회 2024 학습자중심교과교육연구 Vol.24 No.10

Objectives This study reveals, from a middle school student perspective, the social support from parents, teach-ers, and friends, as well as the structural relationship of life satisfaction and self-esteem. Moreover, it explores the direct and indirect effects of social support on life satisfaction, focusing on the mediating effect of self-esteem. Methods For this purpose, the structural equation model was applied to Wave 4 of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018(KCYPS 2018) data set(7th grade, N = 2,275), conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute. Results The results are as follows: First, teacher support perceived by middle school students had a direct and significant effect on life satisfaction. Second, friend support perceived by middle school students did not sig-nificantly affect life satisfaction through the mediating effect of self-esteem, indicating a complete mediation ef-fect of self-esteem on life satisfaction. Third, parents support perceived by middle school students did not sig-nificantly affect life satisfaction, suggesting that middle school students may be more influenced by relationships with teachers and friends than by their relationships with parents. Conclusions This study confirms the significant impact of teacher support on life satisfaction and the significant influence of friend support on self-esteem among middle school students. It is significant in confirming the struc-tural relationship between social support, self-esteem, and life satisfaction among middle school students and verifying the mediating effect of self-esteem between social support and life satisfaction.

Resilience and Work-Related Stress May Affect Depressive Symptoms in Nursing Professionals during the COVID-19 Pandemic Era

        Youjin Hong,Jukab Lee,Hyuk Joo Lee,Kyumin Kim,Inn-Kyu Cho,Myung Hee Ahn,Yong-Wook Shin,Jangho Park,Seockhoon Chung 대한신경정신의학회 2021 PSYCHIATRY INVESTIGATION Vol.18 No.4

Objective We aimed to investigate the effect of nursing professionals’ resilience on their mental health, work-related stress, and anxiety in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods We conducted an online survey in the Asan Medical Center and Ulsan University Hospital, South Korea. We extracted data of 824 nursing professionals who consented to participate, including demographic variables and the Stress and Anxiety to Viral Epidem-ics-9 (SAVE-9), PHQ-9, GAD-7, and Brief Resilience Scale scores. Results Resilience was negatively correlated with Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) (rho=-0.23), Generalized Anxiety Scale-7 items (GAD-7) (rho=-0.25), Stress and Anxiety to Viral Epidem-ics-6 items (SAVE-6) (rho=-0.15), and Stress And anxiety to Viral Epidem-ics-3 items (SAVE-3) (rho=-0.13, all, p<0.001). Logistic regression analysis adjusting age, marital status, and years of employment revealed that high level of general anxiety [adjusted odds ratio (aOR)=1.40, 95% confidence interval (CI)=1.31–1.50], work-related stress during viral epidemics (aOR=1.16, 95% CI=1.03–1.29), and a low level of resilience (aOR=0.91, 95% CI=0.85–0.97) were expecting variables for the depression of healthcare workers. Conclusion Nursing professionals’ level of resilience may be associated with low level of work-related stress and anxiety induced by a viral epidemic. We need to explore further the possibility of resilience as coping strategy of healthcare workers in this pandemic era. Psychiatry Investig 2021;18(4):357-363

        Youjin Jung,Nah-Mee Shin 한국간호과학회 2021 한국간호과학회 학술대회 Vol.2021 No.10

Aim(s): The aim of this study was to examine the effects of a Home-based Lifestyle Intervention (HoLi) on cardiovascular health in the middle-aged women at risk of progressing to cardiovascular disease (CVD). Method(s): This quasi-experimental study used a non-equivalent control group pretest and posttest design and intervention program was based on the Information-Motivation-Behavioral Skills model. The HoLi program demonstrated that exercise and diet can be practiced at home for postmenopausal women who have major risk factors for CVD. This 6-week program consisted of brisk walking, DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet, individual education, tailored counseling, self-monitoring using a smart band and a diary. A total 45 subjects were divided into two groups, 21 to intervention group and 24 to control group. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, χ2-test, Fisher’s exact test, independent t-test, Mann-Whitney U test, ranked ANCOVA were utilized using SPSS program (ver. 25). Result(s): Overall, intervention group significantly improved in the CVD prevention knowledge, self-efficacy (exercise, diet), CVD prevention health behavior, body weight, body mass index, body fat percentage, waist circumference, total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, fasting blood glucose and systolic blood pressure (BP) compared to the control group. However, there were no significant differences between groups in the triglycerides, HDL-cholesterol, and diastolic BP. Conclusion(s): The results suggested that the home-based lifestyle intervention for cardiovascular health in overweight or obese postmenopausal women was effective in improving their knowledge, self-efficacy, health behaviors, anthropometric indicators, lipid profile, and cardiovascular risk. Therefore lifestyle intervention program targeting modifiable cardiovascular risk factors might be an effective strategy if offered with tailored approach and concentrated support for them to adhere to the program.

      • Effective contact resistance of zinc-tin oxide-based thin film transistors.

        Kang, Youjin,Han, Dongsuk,Park, Jaehyung,Shin, Sora,Choi, Duckkyun,Park, Jongwan American Scientific Publishers 2014 Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Vol.14 No.11

We investigated different source/drain (S/D) electrode materials in thin-film transistors (TFTs) based on amorphous zinc-tin oxide (ZTO) semiconductors. The transfer length, channel conductance, and effective contact resistance between the S/D electrodes and the a-ZTO channel layer were examined. Total ON resistance (R(T)), transfer length (L(T)) and effective contact resistance (R(c-eff)) were extracted by the well-known transmission-line method (TLM) using a series of TFTs with different channel lengths. When the width of ZTO channel layer was fixed as 50 μm, the lengths were varying from 10 to 50 μm. The channel layer and S/D electrode were defined by lift-off process and for the S/D electrodes, indium-tin oxide (ITO), Cu, and Mo were used. The resistivity and work function values of electrode materials were considered when selected as candidates for S/D electrodes of ZTO-TFTs. The results showed that the ZTO-TFTs with Mo S/D electrodes had the lowest effective contact resistance indicating that ZTO-TFTs with Mo electrodes have better electrical performance compared to others.

Systemic administration of human mesenchymal stromal cells infected with polymer-coated oncolytic adenovirus induces efficient pancreatic tumor homing and infiltration

        Na, Youjin,Nam, Joung-Pyo,Hong, JinWoo,Oh, Eonju,Shin, Ha Cheol,Kim, Hyun Soo,Kim, Sung Wan,Yun, Chae-Ok Elsevier Science Publishers 2019 Journal of controlled release Vol.305 No.-

Abstract

Oncolytic adenovirus (oAd)-mediated gene therapy is a promising approach for cancer treatment because of its cancer cell-restricted replication and therapeutic gene expression. However, systemic administration of oAd is severely restricted by their immunogenic nature and poor tumor homing ability, thus oAd cannot be utilized to treat disseminated metastases. In this study, human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stromal cell (hMSCs) was used as a viral replication-permissive carrier for oAd with an aim to improve the systemic delivery of the virus to tumor tissues. To overcome the poor delivery of oAd into hMSCs, a relaxin (RLX)-expressing oncolytic Ad (oAd/RLX), which degrades dense tumor extracellular matrix of highly desmoplastic pancreatic cancer, was complexed with biodegradable polymer (poly (ethyleneimine)-conjugated poly(CBA-DAH); PCDP), generating oAd/RLX-PCDP complex. oAd/RLX-PCDP complex enhanced the internalization of oAd into hMSC, leading to superior viral production and release from hMSCs, along with high RLX expression. Furthermore, systemic administration of oAd/RLX-PCDP-treated hMSCs elicited more potent antitumor effect compared to naked oAd/RLX or oAd/RLX-treated hMSC in pancreatic tumor model. This potent antitumor effect of systemically administered oAd/RLX-PCDP-treated hMSCs was achieved by superior viral replication in tumor tissues than any other treatment group. In conclusion, these results demonstrate that hMSCs are effective carriers for the systemic delivery of oAd to tumor sites and treatment of pancreatic cancer.

      • Structural and Biomechanical Effects of Photooxidative Collagen Cross-Linking with Photosensitizer Riboflavin and 370 nm UVA Light on Human Corneoscleral Tissues

        Choi, Samjin,Shin, Jae-Ho,Cheong, Youjin,Jin, Kyung-Hyun,Park, Hun-Kuk Cambridge University Press 2013 Microscopy and microanalysis Vol.19 No.5

        Abstract
This study quantitatively investigated the immediate effects of a photooxidative collagen cross-linking treatment with photosensitizer riboflavin (RF) and 370 nm UVA light in in vitro human corneoscleral collagen fibrils using histology, thickness, scanning electron microscopy, and atomic force microscopy analyses. Twenty 8 × 2 mm corneoscleral strips were dissected sagittally from donor tissue using a scalpel. Four parameters were investigated, including the density, thickness, adhesion force, and stiffness of corneoscleral tissues before and after the collagen cross-linking treatment. The RFUVA-catalyzed collagen cross-linking treatment led to an increase in the density of both corneal (8%) and scleral (23%) stromal collagens. However, there was no difference in corneoscleral thickness. Furthermore, RFUVA-catalyzed collagen cross-linking treatment led to an increased biomechanical response of corneosclera: 25 and 8% increases in corneoscleral stiffness, and 24 and 22% increases in corneoscleral adhesion force. The collagen cross-linking treatment through RF-sensitized photoreaction may cause structural and biomechanical changes in the collagen fibril network of the cornea and the sclera. This is due to narrowing of the interfibrillar spacing and the stromal edema.
