YS Flora®, a Comprehensive and Multi-Purpose Collection of Human Gut Microbiome

Human feces, as a repository of the gut microbiome composed of tens of trillions of microbes, represent the microbial environment within the gut. The composition of the gut microbiota is associated with various diseases, body conditions, and lifestyles, and human-derived strains isolated from feces can be developed into probiotics or live biotherapeutic products (LBPs). YS Flora® is a collection of human fecal samples from over 300 diverse donors intended for scientific research and healthcare purposes, such as studying gut microbiome communities and developing supplements and pharmaceuticals. YS Flora® uniquely includes fecal samples from non-healthy individuals, unlike other fecal biobanks, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the human gut microbiome. To demonstrate YS Flora®'s utility for scientific research, we analyzed and compared the fecal bacterial communities of vegetarians and omnivores. Strains with potential for use as probiotics or LBPs, such as Lactobacillus spp., Bifidobacterium spp., and Bacillus spp., were isolated using selective media. YS Flora® provides a research foundation by offering isolated strains and gut microbiota from individuals with specific health conditions and lifestyles, enhancing the scientific understanding of the human gut microbiome and aiding researchers in developing probiotics or LBPs.

<P><B>Isostrukturelle cucurbiturilbasierte</B> organische poröse Materialien, deren 1D‐Kanäle mit einer Wasser‐Säure‐Anordnung gefüllt sind, unterscheiden sich abhängig von der Art und Menge der in den Kanälen vorliegenden Säuremoleküle in der Protonenleitfähigkeit. Das deutlich anisotrope Leitungsverhalten der Materialien wurde mithilfe von Leitfähigkeitsmessung an Einkristallen untersucht.</P>
청각장애학생 원격수업에 관한 특수교사와 학생의 경험과 요구

이 연구는 청각장애학생 대상 원격수업 운영에 관한 특수교사와 청각장애학생의 경험과 지원 요구를 알아보기 위해 특수학급 및 청각장애학교의 특수교사 7명과 청각장애학생 7명을 대상으로 면담을 진행하였다. 연구 결과, 첫 번째 상위범주인‘원격수업에서 교사와 청각장애학생의 도전과 노력’에서 원격수업 운영과 참여의 어려움이 있었지만 원활한 원격수업을 위해 노력하는 모습을 보였으며 이를 통해 원격수업의 긍정적인 면을 찾아볼 수 있었다. 두 번째 상위범주인 ‘청각장애학생의 성공적인 원격수업을 위하여’에서는 원격수업에 대한 지원 요구가 학교 차원에서는 원격수업 운영을 위한 공간 제공 및 업무 간소화를, 교육청·센터 차원에서는 학교와 교사가 원격수업 운영에 집중할 수 있도록 부가적인 행·재정적 지원을, 플랫폼 차원에서는 수어와 자막 지원에 대한 기능 개선이 필요한 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 청각장애학생의 원격수업에 실질적이고 적절한 지원이 이루어질 수 있도록 교사와 학생, 학교와 청각장애 거점 특수교육지원센터 및 교육청 간의 지속적인 소통과 협력이 이뤄져야 할 필요가 있음을 시사한다. In this study, an interview was conducted with seven special education teachers and seven students with deaf and hear of hearing in schools for the deaf to look into experiences and support needs of special education teachers and students with deaf and hard of hearing for distance learning management. The study results are as follows. In the first upper category ‘challenges and efforts of teachers and students with deaf and hard of hearing in distance learning’, although there were difficulties in managing and participating in distance learning, they tried for smooth distance learning and this showed a positive aspect of distance learning. In the second upper category ‘for successful distance learning of students with deaf and hard of hearing’, support needs for distance learning were space provision for distance learning management and task simplification at the level of schools, additional administrative·financial supports for schools and teachers’ concentration on distance learning management at the level of Education Offices and special education support centers, and improvement in function of sign language and subtitle support at the level of platforms. These study results imply that to provide practical and proper supports to distance learning for students with deaf and hard of hearing, constant communication and cooperation between teachers and students, and between schools and special education support centers for the hearing-impaired are required.
고밀도 광기록 채널에서의 NPML 검출 성능 한계 분석

잡음예측 최대유사도(NPML, Noise Predictive Maximum Likelihood) 검출기는 잡음 예측/백색화 과정을 비터비 검출기의 가지 메트릭 계산 과정에 삽입하여 데이터 검출의 신뢰성을 높인다. 본 논문에서는 고밀도 광기록채널에서 밀도가 높아짐에 따라 고차 전달함수 다항식으로 요구되는 성능을 달성할 수 있음을 보인다. 모의실험을 통해 밀도마다 가장 적합한 PR 타겟값을 찾고, NPML 다항식 차수를 올려가며 BER을 측정하였다. 결과로 각 밀도에 따른 적절한 차수가 필요함을 보였다. Noise predictive maximum likelihood(NPML) detector embeds noise prediction/ whitening process in the branch metric calculation of Viterbi detector and improves the reliability. In this paper, some high-density optical storage channels are examined, and appropriate NPML systems are designed for each channel.
