New Approach to Extract Netlist from Layout

In this paper, we describe a new algorithm for netlist extraction. The algorithm can be applied to extracting the equivalent resistance and capacitance, distributed RC, more exactly to polygons, wiring blocks which are represented by directional edges.

Due to the high density of integration and the high performance in current integrated circuit, it is more emphasized to verify the electrical connectivity and performance of the circuit extracted from the layout. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm to extract the netlist including the geometric parameters of MOSFETs and the parasitic resistance and capacitance values. Where a set of polygon blocks for routing wires in the layout are described with directional edges and the layout extraction is carried out by checking over the abutment of these blocks on MOSFETs.

Purpose : The need for standardization of radiation exposure has been suggested and the standard dose has been proposed by the International Atomic Energy Agency(IAEA) as a safety standard. This study is to reduce patient’s radiation dose by comparing our data with the standard dose from IAEA in fluoroscopy.
Genotypic characterization of fluoroquinolone-resistant Escherichia coli isolates from edible offal

Edible offal is easily contaminated by Escherichia coli (E. coli) and fluoroquinolone (FQ)-resistant E. coli is considered a serious public health problem, thus, this study investigated the genetic characteristics of FQ-resistant E. coli from edible offal. A total of 22 FQ-resistant E. coli isolates were tested. A double mutation in each gyrA and parC led the highest MIC. Four (18.2%) isolates carried plasmid-mediated quinolone resistance genes. The fimH, eaeA, escV, astA, and iucC genes were confirmed. Seventeen isolates (77.3%) were positive for plasmid replicons. The isolates showed high genetic heterogeneity based on pulsed-field gel electrophoresis patterns.

<P>Fe2O3 yolk-shell particles with two, three, and four shells are prepared by one-pot spray pyrolysis. The discharge capacity of the Fe2O3 yolk-shell particles with two shells showing the best electrochemical properties is as high as 848 mA h g(-1) after 80 cycles at a current density of 300 mA g(-1).</P>
Caffeine-induced Vascular Reactivity in the Ophthalmic Artery

Present study assesses vascular reactivity of the ophthalmic artery (OA) in the caffeine presence using magnetic resonance (MR) imaging technique, and it was compared with those of intracranial vessels, such as the middle cerebral and internal carotid arteries. All subjects underwent two MR scans in pre- and post-caffeine consumption conditions. Each scan included two imaging data sets, obtained using conventional time-of-flight (TOF) and phase-contrast (PC) MR angiography (MRA) to examine the signal changes of the target cerebral vessels and measure their velocities in 3 Tesla (3T) MRI, respectively. TOF MRA delineates the detail of the OA more clearly in post-caffeine condition, although it was also visualized in pre-caffeine. PC MRA can quantitatively measure changes in the blood flow velocity of OA. In conclusion, this study shows that MR imaging modality, especially PC MRA, can be used to quantify blood flow velocity in the OA, following a caffeineinduced blood flow increase.

A CMOS RF bandpass amplifier which performs both functions of low-noise amplifier and bandpass filter is designed for the application of 900 ㎒ RF front-end in wireless receivers. The positive-feedback Q-enhancement technique is used to overcome the low gain and low Q factor of the bandpass amplifier. The Miller-capacitance tuning scheme compensates for the process variations of center frequency. The designed bandpass amplifier is simulated with HSPICE and fabricated using 0.8 ㎛ CMOS 2-poly 2-metal full custom process. Under 3 V supply voltage, results of simulation show that the CMOS bandpass amplifier provides the quality factor Q of 40 and the gain of 20 ㏈. The center-frequency tuning range is from 894 ㎒ to 906 ㎒ and power dissipation is about 72 ㎽.
