This paper considers the problem of the formation control for multiple underactuated quadrotor UAVs without linear velocity measurements. The objective of this paper is expected to realize smooth formation performances for a quadrotor group. A distributed formation controller is designed directly using rotation matrices to obviate the singularities associated with the Euler-angles or the ambiguity of quaternions. A two-step procedure isadopted for the control development after transforming the dynamics of each quadrotor into a new form. At first, an intermediary control variable is introduced to achieve the formation control, where some auxiliary systems are designed in the presence of lacking linear velocity measurements. Then, based on the thrust force and reference angular velocity decoded from the intermediary control variable, the torque input of each quadrotor is proposed for angular velocity tracking. The case of formation control with a virtual leader is also investigated, where at least one quadrotor has the information of the leader. The asymptotic stability of the proposed control system is analyzed by Lyapunov-like tools, and the effectiveness of the proposed control method is verified by simulation studies. Thesimulation results show that the proposed method can guide the quadrotor group to form the desired formation smoothly without linear velocity feedback, which has great potentials for the UAV group to execute the challenging mission in hostile environments.

The fungal products dibenzodioxocinones promise a novel class of inhibitors against cholesterol ester transfer protein (CEPT). Knowledge as to their biosynthesis is scarce. In this report, we characterized four more dibenzodioxocinones, which along with a previously described member pestalotiollide B, delimit the dominant spectrum of secondary metabolites in P. microspora. Through mRNA-seq profiling in gα1Δ, a process that halts the production of the dibenzodioxocinones, a gene cluster harboring 21 genes including a polyketide synthase, designated as pks8, was defined. Disruption of genes in the cluster led to loss of the compounds, concluding the anticipated role in the biosynthesis of the chemicals. The biosynthetic route to dibenzodioxocinones was temporarily speculated. This study reveals the genetic basis underlying the biosynthesis of dibenzodioxocinone in fungi, and may facilitate the practice for yield improvement in the drug development arena.
Output Feedback Stabilization for a Class of Cascade Nonlinear ODEPDE Systems

In this paper, the output feedback stabilization problem is studied for a class of cascade nonlinear ODEPDE systems. The nonlinear terms of ODE-subsystem are assumed to be bounded by a known constant multiplied by unmeasured states, and PDE-subsystem is a diffusion equation. Especially, the unstable diffusion equation is considered. Based on the low gain observer and a series of transformations, the output feedback stabilization problem is converted into designing proper gain parameters. Furthermore, the stability of the closed-loop system is analyzed by Lyapunov theorem. Finally, two numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.

Background The Northeast Plain of China, which is an important region for the production of high grain quality rice in China. However, the grain quality of the rice produced varies across this region, even for the same cultivar. Objective In order to explore the meteorological factors that have the greatest infuence on quality and the transcriptional level diferences between diferent cultivars and diferent locations at grain flling stage. Methods We grew eight rice cultivars in three locations in Northeast China during two growing seasons (2017 and 2018). We recorded meteorological conditions, including air temperature, air temperature range, and photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) during the grain-flling stage of each cultivar, and analyzed the grain quality of those eight cultivars. Results Across all eight cultivars, meteorological factors had a stronger efect on eating quality than genotype, while genotype had a stronger efect on milling quality. Of the three environmental factors assessed, PAR was signifcantly correlated with the most grain quality traits. Using RNA-sequencing analysis, we identifed 573 environment-specifc DEGs (Diferentially Expressed Genes), and 119 genotype-specifc DEGs; 11 DEGs were responsive to genotype×environment interactions. These DEGs were involved in many key metabolic processes. Conclusion Our results indicated that interactions among environmental factors, especially PAR, afected rice quality in Northeast China. Further analyses of the DEGs identifed herein may provide useful information for future breeding programs aiming to develop high grain quality rice varieties suitable for cultivation across Northeast China.

To combat the adverse impact imposed by illumination variation in the face recognition process, an effective and feasible algorithm is proposed in this paper. Firstly, an enhanced local texture feature is presented by applying the central symmetric encode principle on the fused component images acquired from the wavelet decomposition. Then the proposed local texture features are combined with Deep Belief Network (DBN) to gain robust deep features of face images under severe illumination conditions. Abundant experiments with different test schemes are conducted on both CMU-PIE and Extended Yale-B databases which contain face images under various illumination condition. Compared with the DBN, LBP combined with DBN and CSLBP combined with DBN, our proposed method achieves the most satisfying recognition rate regardless of the database used, the test scheme adopted or the illumination condition encountered, especially for the face recognition under severe illumination variation.

(Bi0.5Na0.5)0.94Ba0.06TiO3 ceramics doped with Li2CO3 and Bi2O3 as sintering aids were manufactured, and their micro structural, dielectric and piezoelectric properties were investigated. All specimens could be well sintered at a low-temperature of 1080 ℃. The bulk density of the specimens doped with a small amount of Li2CO3 was enhanced. The dielectric and piezoelectric properties of ceramics were investigated with different amounts of Li2CO3 substitutions. High electrical properties of d33 ¼ 167 pC/N,kp ¼ 0.34, Pr ¼ 40 mC/cm2 and Ec ¼ 38 kV/cm were obtained from the specimen containing 0.1 mol% of Li2CO3 sintered at 1080 ℃.

Camellia sinensis (L.) is widely cultivated in China and other countries as an economically important tree and supplies unique nutrients to ensure the development of Apis cerana cerana and Apis mellifera ligustica colonies in early spring in southern China. A. c. cerana was domesticated in China many years ago and exhibits a smaller body size, smaller colony size and some distinct physiology and behavior compared to A. m. ligustica. Here, to explore the changes in gene expression induced by C. sinensis in A. c. cerana and A.m. ligustica, we performed transcriptomic analysis of the 1 st -instar, 5 th -instar, 1 st -adult and 7 th -adult stages of the two species fed the nectar and pollen of C. sinensis. A total of 489, 1190, 991 and 243 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified in the four developmental stages of A. m. ligustica, and 995, 2785, 1513 and 213 DEGs were found in the cor responding stages of A. c. cerana. The changes in the gene expression profile were more significant in the 5 th -instar and 1 st -adult. Furthermore, the upregulated genes in the 5 th -instar and 1 st -adult were mainly enriched in pathways involved in growth- and development-related pathway: Hippo signaling pathway. In addition to the upregulated DEGs, growth- and development-related pathways, including the Wnt signaling pathway, Hedgehog signaling pathway-fly, and FoxO signaling pathway, were enriched in A. c. cerana. Finally, we hypothesized that C. sinensis pollen is beneficial to the growth and development of honeybees and give rise to diverse corresponding regulation to A. c. cerana than to A. m. ligustica.

Objective We used polysomnography (PSG) monitoring and neuropsychological scales to explore the characteristics of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) patients diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in Wuhan, two years after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods A total of 42 patients in the Sleep Medicine Center were diagnosed with insomnia between December 2021 and May 2022; they were divided into the PTSD group (patients with PTSD diagnosed with insomnia after COVID-19 infection) and the non-PTSD group (patients with insomnia without PTSD). A healthy control group was simultaneously included. Results The PTSD group was more significant than the non-PTSD group in partial manifestations of sleep disorders, neuropsychological clinical symptoms, and partial PSG data. Patients with different COVID-19 subtypes showed significant differences in the course of disease, sleep disorders, neuropsychological clinical symptoms, relevant scale scores, and PSG data analysis. Conclusion The emotional anxiety and depression of COVID-19 patients diagnosed with PTSD two years after the COVID-19 pandemic in Wuhan are more significant, and will not be self-alleviated with the passage of time. It is necessary to continue to pay attention to the PTSD symptoms and sleep psychology of COVID-19 infected patients, and take appropriate measures. Patients with severe and critical COVID-19 have more severe sleep and mental disorders, and there is a significant correlation between the duration of the disease and the severity of mental and mental disorders and sleep disorders after recovery.
