        試論〈愛蓮說〉的接受及其作者

        As an ode well-known throughout the history, ode to lotus is very familiar to everyone, old and young, man and woman. However, such issues as to what degree the people of each generation in the past and at present accepted it, what characterizes their acceptance of it, and whether Zhou Dunyi is the author, have been neglected. This thesis makes an attempt to have a brief exploration and sorting of these issues, which seem minimal and are therefore ignored, and it also has some textual criticism and analysis on it based on the related materials.

        Carbon-Ion-Implanted Nd, MgO-Codoped Near-Stoichiometric Lithium-Niobate Optical Waveguides

        Nd, MgO codoped near stoichiometric lithium niobate (Nd:MgO:SLN) is a promising laser gain crystal for infrared laser generations. We report on, to our knowledge for the first time, the planar waveguide formation in Nd:MgO:SLN crystal by MeV carbon ion implantation at dose of 1014 ions/cm2. The guiding properties are investigated by using the well-known m-line technique and end-face arrangement. The refractive index profiles of the waveguides show a typical “well + barrier” distribution, which could confine the light propagation in a non-leaky way. In addition, a numerical simulation of the light propagation shows that the waveguide modal distributions are in good agreement with the experimental data, which means potential applications for the formation of designable devices in Nd:MgO:SLN by using carbon ion implantation.       • On the role of surface diffusion in determining the shape or morphology of noble-metal nanocrystals

        <P>Controlling the shape or morphology of metal nanocrystals is central to the realization of their many applications in catalysis, plasmonics, and electronics. In one of the approaches, the metal nanocrystals are grown from seeds of certain crystallinity through the addition of atomic species. In this case, manipulating the rates at which the atomic species are added onto different crystallographic planes of a seed has been actively explored to control the growth pattern of a seed and thereby the shape or morphology taken by the final product. Upon deposition, however, the adsorbed atoms (adatoms) may not stay at the same sites where the depositions occur. Instead, they can migrate to other sites on the seed owing to the involvement of surface diffusion, and this could lead to unexpected deviations from a desired growth pathway. Herein, we demonstrated that the growth pathway of a seed is indeed determined by the ratio between the rates for atom deposition and surface diffusion. Our result suggests that surface diffusion needs to be taken into account when controlling the shape or morphology of metal nanocrystals.</P>

        애니메이션 캐릭터에 나타난 민족성의 차이- 한중일 ‘서유기’ 손오공을 예로 -

        소설 서유기 는 중국 4대 명작 중 하나이다. 중국과 지리적으로 가까운 한국과 일본에도 ‘서유기’가 널리 알려져 있으나 한국과 일본에서 제작된 ‘서유기’ 애니메이션은 인물 이미지와 줄거리에서 중국 작품과 큰 차이가 있다. 이러한 차이는 한중일의 민족적 특징이 반영되고, 각국의 역사 흐름 속에서 문화가 반영된 결과로 그 나라의 민족성이 애니메이션의 작품에 잘 반영되었는지를 살펴보는 것은 완성도를 판단하는 하나의 기준이 된다. 이러한 점에서 한중일 각각의 민족성이 어떻게 작품에 영향을 미쳤는지 알아보는 것은 의미가 있다 하겠다. 각국의 애니메이션 작품은 각국의 강한 정체성과 사회적 면모를 드러내므로 좋은 비교 소재이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 한중일 각국에서 제작한 ‘서유기’ 애니메이션 속의 손오공 캐릭터의 차이를 분석하고, 그 캐릭터에 드러난 민족적 특징의 차이와 형성 원인을 조사한다. 또한 분석 결과를 통하여 한국과 일본 애니메이션의 성공 요인을 알아보았다. 이를 위해 문헌연구를 통해 중국, 한국, 일본에서의 서유기의 생성 발전과 과정 및 전파와 변이 과정에 대해 살펴보고, 한중일 ‘서유기’ 애니메이션 속에서의 손오공 캐릭터와 민족성의 관계에 대해 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 ‘서유기’ 애니메이션이 한·중·일 3개국에서 개편되면서 큰 변화를 보인 것을 확인할 수 있었는데 이런 현상이 생기는 원인에는 문화 전파의 융합 정도, 종교 요소, 현대 사회 문화의 영향이 있었음을 알 수 있었다. 중국은 자국의 문화와 현대 문화의 결합을 통한 국제 홍보하고 아동 및 성인을 포함한 다양한 연령층을 대상으로 한 애니메이션 개발 및 다양한 애니메이션 파생품을 통한 수익 창출 효과에 힘써야 한다. 나아가 예술적인 스타일과 정신문화적인 민족성을 포함한 애니메이션의 발전에 힘쓴다면 더욱 더 발전된 애니메이션 산업의 국제화를 기대할 수 있다. The novel ‘Journey to the West’ is one of the four greatest masterpieces in China. It is widely known in Korea and Japan, which are geographically close to China. As a result of the cultural characteristics difference among the four countries, animations about ‘Journey to the West’ produced in Korea and Japan are quite different from the ones from China in terms of visual images and plot. Whether the ethnicity of the country is well reflected in the animation work is a criterion to judge the completeness of. Therefore, it is necessary to study how each ethnicity of Korea, China and Japan influenced it’s work. The animation works of each country are good comparative material because they show the strong ethnicity and social aspect of each country. Therefore this paper analyzed differences in the characters of ‘Journey to the West’ which is produced in Korea, China and Japan, and examined differences in ethnic characteristics and causes of formation. Also this study looked at the success factors of Korean and Japanese animation through the analysis results. For this, we examined the development and intergradation and variation of ‘Journey to the West’ in China, Korea, and Japan are explored and relationship between Sonokong character and ethnicity in ‘Journey to the West’ animation between Korea and China are analyzed. The study showed that the animation ‘Journey to the West’ was reorganized in three countries, including Korea, China and Japan. And the causes of this phenomenon were the degree of fusion of cultural propagation, religious elements and the influence of modern social culture. China should promote itself internationally through the combination of its culture and modern culture, develop animations for various age groups, including children and adults, and work to generate revenue through various animated derivatives. Furthermore, if China focuses on the development of animation, including artistic style and spiritual, cultural and ethnicity, we can expect to see an even more advanced animation industry become international.

        Incomplete Cholesky Decomposition based Kernel Cross Modal Factor Analysis for Audiovisual Continuous Dimensional Emotion Recognition

        Recently, continuous dimensional emotion recognition from audiovisual clues has attracted increasing attention in both theory and in practice. The large amount of data involved in the recognition processing decreases the efficiency of most bimodal information fusion algorithms. A novel algorithm, namely the incomplete Cholesky decomposition based kernel cross factor analysis (ICDKCFA), is presented and employed for continuous dimensional audiovisual emotion recognition, in this paper. After the ICDKCFA feature transformation, two basic fusion strategies, namely feature-level fusion and decision-level fusion, are explored to combine the transformed visual and audio features for emotion recognition. Finally, extensive experiments are conducted to evaluate the ICDKCFA approach on the AVEC 2016 Multimodal Affect Recognition Sub-Challenge dataset. The experimental results show that the ICDKCFA method has a higher speed than the original kernel cross factor analysis with the comparable performance. Moreover, the ICDKCFA method achieves a better performance than other common information fusion methods, such as the Canonical correlation analysis, kernel canonical correlation analysis and cross-modal factor analysis based fusion methods.

        Influence of Methylenetetrahydrofolate Reductase C677T Polymorphism on the Risk of Lung Cancer and the Clinical Response to Platinum-Based Chemotherapy for Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer: An Updated Meta-Analysis

        Purpose: Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) has been implicated in lung cancer risk and response to platinum-based chemotherapy in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, the results are controversial. We performed meta-analysis to investigate the effect of MTHFR C677T polymorphism on lung cancer risk and response to platinum-based chemotherapy in advanced NSCLC. Materials and Methods: The databases of PubMed, Ovid, Wanfang and Chinese Biomedicine were searched for eligible studies. Nineteen studies on MTHFR C677T polymorphism and lung cancer risk and three articles on C677T polymorphism and response to platinum-based chemotherapy in advanced NSCLC, were identified. Results: The results indicated that the allelic contrast, homozygous contrast and recessive model of the MTHFR C677T polymorphism were associated significantly with increased lung cancer risk. In the subgroup analysis,the C677T polymorphism was significantly correlated with an increased risk of NSCLC, with the exception of the recessive model. The dominant model and the variant T allele showed a significant association with lung cancer susceptibility of ever smokers. Male TT homozygote carriers had a higher susceptibility, but the allelic contrast and homozygote model had a protective effect in females. No relationship was observed for SCLC in any comparison model. In addition, MTHFR 677TT homozygote carriers had a better response to platinum-based chemotherapy in advanced NSCLC in the recessive model. Conclusion: The MTHFR C677T polymorphism might be a genetic marker for lung cancer risk or response to platinum-based chemotherapy in advanced NSCLC. However, our results require further verification.

        Salt template-assisted construction of three-dimensional interconnected network in thermally conductive EP/PVDF/NiCo@GNP composites

        In this study, graphene nanoplatelets (GNP) and nickel–cobalt (NiCo) alloy were adopted as reinforcingmaterials to prepare epoxy (EP) resin-based composites. NiCo particles were able to achieve uniformanchoring on GNPs’ surface under the electrostatic force due to the successful introduction of oxygendefects on GNPs. With the synergistic effect of adhesive PVDF and salt particles, the system with threedimensionally(3D) interconnected network was successfully constructed. Benefit from the formation ofmechanically stable and efficient heat conduction paths, the thermal conductivity (TC) of the EP/PVDF/NiCo@GNP composite reached 1.077 Wm1K1 at a filler volume fraction of 6.82 vol%, while the counterpart’sstoragemodulus (E’) was up to 3.22 GPa. In addition, a scaling formula was quantitatively proposed tocorrelate TC with E’, and the perfect agreement between the theoretical prediction and experimental dataclarified the underlying mechanism of the relationship between phonons transport and stress transferwithin a systemwith 3D ordered structures. The establishment of relationship between AHR (average heatingrate) and TC made it possible to further predict TC of composites based upon the infrared thermal imaging(ITI) data. The as-prepared GNP composites show good application prospects as thermal managementmaterials which need to experience thermally mechanical deformation.

        A Selection Operator for Summary Association Statistics Reveals Allelic Heterogeneity of Complex Traits

        <P>In recent years, as a secondary analysis in genome-wide association studies (GWASs), conditional and joint multiple-SNP analysis (GCTA-COJO) has been successful in allowing the discovery of additional association signals within detected loci. This suggests that many loci mapped in GWASs harbor more than a single causal variant. In order to interpret the underlying mechanism regulating a complex trait of interest in each discovered locus, researchers must assess the magnitude of allelic heterogeneity within the locus. We developed a penalized selection operator for jointly analyzing multiple variants (SOJO) within each mapped locus on the basis of LASSO (least absolute shrinkage and selection operator) regression derived from summary association statistics. We found that, compared to stepwise conditional multiple-SNP analysis, SOJO provided better sensitivity and specificity in predicting the number of alleles associated with complex traits in each locus. SOJO suggested causal variants potentially missed by GCTA-COJO. Compared to using top variants from genome-wide significant loci in GWAS, using SOJO increased the proportion of variance prediction for height by 65% without additional discovery samples or additional loci in the genome. Our empirical results indicate that human height is not only a highly polygenic trait, but also has high allelic heterogeneity within its established hundreds of loci.</P>

        Effects of biochar and Trichoderma on bacterial community diversity in continuous cropping soil

        Soil acidifi cation has become a serious issue in protected production in northern China as a consequence of many years ofcontinuous cropping. Besides aff ecting the growth and quality of vegetables, soil acidifi cation also restricts the sustainabledevelopment of vegetables grown in protected environments. A single application of biochar or Trichoderma can repair thesoil environment, optimize the microbial community structure, reduce plant diseases, and promote plant growth. However,it is not known whether biochar combined with Trichoderma has a synergistic eff ect on these parameters. In this study,long-term continuous cropping of cucumbers in a greenhouse was used to study the eff ect of biochar and Trichoderma onmicro-ecological environmental changes in acidifi ed soil using Illumina sequencing. The results showed that the combinedapplication of biochar and Trichoderma promoted cucumber growth; signifi cantly enhanced root vitality and superoxidedismutase, peroxidase, and catalase activities in leaves; and reduced malondialdehyde content. In addition, soil physicaland chemical properties improved; cation exchange capacity, the activity of soil polyphenol oxidase and invertase, and thediversity of soil bacterial communities increased; and the structure and relative abundance of soil bacteria changed after thecombined application of biochar and Trichoderma . Correlation analysis of environmental factors showed that total nitrogenand soil pH had the greatest impact on bacterial communities. The metabolic function of soil bacteria was improved, andthe circulation of soil nutrients was increased as a consequence of the combined application of biochar and Trichoderma .
