Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is one of the most common hematological malignancies all around the world. MicroRNAs have been determined to contribute various cancers initiation and progression, including AML. Although microRNA-204 (miR-204) exerts anti-tumor effects in several kinds of cancers, its function in AML remains unknown. In the present study, we assessed miR-204 expression in AML blood samples and cell lines. We also investigated the effects of miR-204 on cellular function of AML cells and the underlying mechanisms of the action of miR-204. Our results showed that miR-204 expression was significantly downregulated in AML tissues and cell lines. In addition, overexpression of miR-204 induced growth inhibition and apoptosis in AML cells, including AML5, HL-60, Kasumi-1 and U937 cells. Cell cycle analysis further confirmed an augmentation in theapoptotic subG1 population by miR-204 overexpression. Mechanistically, baculoviral inhibition of apoptosis protein repeat containing 6 (BIRC6) was identified as a direct target of miR-204. Enforcing miR-204 expression increased the luciferase activity and expression of BIRC6, as well as p53 and Bax expression. Moreover, restoration of BIRC6 reversed the pro-apoptotic effects of miR-204 overexpression in AML cells. Taken together, this study demonstrates that miR-204 causes AML cell apoptosis by targeting BIRC6, suggesting miR-204 may play an anti-carcinogenic role in AML and function as a novel biomarker and therapeutic target for the treatment of this disease. Since the mode transition performance of power-split DHT (Dedicated Hybrid Transmission) are directly influenced by torque dynamic characteristic of the brake, the brake pressure should be controlled accurately. In this paper, a dynamic model of brake and its pressure regulating system are established by considering system nonlinear characteristics and input disturbances, and a sliding mode variable structure controller is developed to track the brake pressure. First, the operation principle of DHT's pressure regulating system is introduced. Second, the dynamic models of solenoid proportional pressure valve, electromagnetic direction switching valve and brake are established with AMESim parametric plant model. Furthermore, a sliding mode variable structure controller for tracking pressure is designed based on MATLAB/Simulink. Finally, the AMESim parametric plant model is validated by measurements, and the proposed controller are verified by AMESim and Simulink co-simulation. The results show that the system dynamics can be well characterized by the AMESim parametric plant model. The target pressure can be tracked rapidly and accurately by using sliding mode variable structure controller and the controller has better robustness.
A Comparative Study on Korean and Chinese Gaming Terminology

Korea and China share cultural commonalities, but at the same time they also have many differences in language use. Within the context of gaming culture, the two countries’ shared characteristics encompass an enjoyment of participation in the gaming community, while using different and distinct gaming terminology. This research first examines the terminology used in the gaming cultures of Korea and China, as well as the criteria for language creation and characteristics of terminology generation in the two countries. Finally, it analyzes the similarities and differences in Korean and Chinese gamers’ attitudes toward the common culture between the two countries.

Background: Clinical chemistry tests are most widely used in clinical laboratories, and diverse measurement systems for these analyses are available in China. We evaluated the imprecision of clinical chemistry measurement systems based on internal QC (IQC) data. Methods: IQC data for 27 general chemistry analytes were collected in February each year from 2013 to 2022. Four performance specifications were used to calculate pass rates for CVs of IQC data in 2022. Boxplots were drawn to analyze trends of CVs, and differences in CVs among different groups were assessed using the Mann–Whitney U-test or Kruskal–Wallis test. Results: The number of participating laboratories increased significantly from 1,777 in 2013 to 5,425 in 2022. CVs significantly decreased for all 27 analytes, except creatine kinase and lipase. Triglycerides, total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, iron, and γ-glutamyl transferase achieved pass rates >80% for all goals. Nine analytes with pass rates <80% based on 1/3 allowable total error were further analyzed; the results indicated that closed systems exhibited lower CVs than open systems for all analytes, except total protein. For all nine analytes, differences were significant between tertiary hospitals and non-tertiary hospitals and between accredited and non-accredited laboratories. Conclusions: The CVs of IQC data for clinical chemistry have seen a continuous overall improvement in China. However, there is ample room for imprecision improvement for several analytes, with stricter performance specifications.

This paper proposes a sensorless control approach for Wound Rotor Synchronous Machines (WRSMs) based on a high frequency voltage signal injection into the stator side U phase and VW line, respectively. Considering the machine itself as a rotor position sensor, the rotor position observer is established according to the principles of the rotary transformer. A demodulation method for the high frequency signal inducted in the rotor is proposed as well. Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed sensorless control approach has high performance and good practicability.
Massive MIMO Channel Estimation Algorithm Based on Weighted Compressed Sensing

Compressed sensing-based matching pursuit algorithms can estimate the sparse channel of massive multiple input multiple-output systems with short pilot sequences. Although they have the advantages of low computational complexity and low pilot overhead, their accuracy remains insufficient. Simply multiplying the weight value and the estimated channel obtained in different iterations can only improve the accuracy of channel estimation under conditions of low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), whereas it degrades accuracy under conditions of high SNR. To address this issue, an improved weighted matching pursuit algorithm is proposed, which obtains a suitable weight value uop by training the channel data. The step of the weight value increasing with successive iterations is calculated according to the sparsity of the channel and uop. Adjusting the weight value adaptively over the iterations can further improve the accuracy of estimation. The results of simulationsconducted to evaluate the proposed algorithm show that it exhibits improved performance in terms of accuracy compared to previous methods under conditions of both high and low SNR.
Stereoselective Total Synthesis of (+)-Licochalcone E

The synthesis of (+)-licochalcone E (1) was accomplished for the first time in 13 steps from aryl bromide (6) with 8% overall yield. Palladium-catalyzed Negishi-Reformatsky coupling reaction of compound 6 with ethyl 2-(tributylstannyl)acetate provided the aryl acetic ester (5), which was converted to aryl acetamide (4) via mixed anhydride formation. Chiral auxiliarymediated methylation of the (S)-4-benzyl-2-oxazolidinone-derived aryl acetamide (4) provided the key asymmetric benzylic methyl group in compound 1.

The recombination rate of electrons and holes determine the photocatalytic effect. Au nanoparticle (NPs) were loaded on the (110) plane of BiOBr via a ultrasonic method while PbO2 NPs were loaded on the (001) plane. The ultrasound not only promoted the formation of the NPs but also resulted indirectionally transfer of electrons and holes in the different crystal planes, where electronsmainly exist in (110) planes while holes accumulate on (001) planes. Namely, ultrasonic waves caused BiOBr layer spacing to increase and destroy the balance of its built-in electric field. The loading of Au NPs enhanced the photocatalytic performance.
