We report the deposition of epitaxial SrHfO3 thin films on a SrTiO3 (001) substrate in different substrate temperatures by using a pulsed laser deposition (PLD) method. We carried out X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray reflectivity (XRR), reciprocal space mapping (RSM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), resistivity, and Hall measurements to examine the crystallinity, morphology and electrical properties of these films. All films showed smooth and uniform morphology with small root mean square (RMS) roughness. While the SrHfO3 sample grown at 750 °C is metallic, the films deposited at 600 °C, 650 °C, and 700 °C show an upturn at low temperatures. The temperature dependence of the metallic parts was analyzed based on the parallel resistor model that includes resistivity saturation. On the other hand, the low-temperature upturn was found to be well described by a weak localization mechanism. We also observed the possible emergence of non-Fermi liquid behavior when the upturn disappeared. All SrHfO3 films have p-type charge carriers.

In this study, homoepitaxial SrTiO3 thin films were deposited on SrTiO3 (001) substrates with different energy density at very low oxygen partial pressure by using a pulsed laser deposition (PLD) method. We carried out X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and resistivity measurements to understand the crystallinity, morphology and electrical properties of these epitaxial films. All films showed homogeneous and uniform morphologies with small root mean square (RMS) roughnesses. The films also exhibited metallic behaviors at temperatures from 2 K to 300 K, indicating that our homoepitaxial SrTiO3 thin films were doped because of nonstoichiometric cations or oxygen deficiencies.

The purpose of this study is to examine the determinants of intention to borrow consumer credit of Vietnamese people by applying the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and extending it with several variables, including anxiety, perceived trust, and perceived financial costs extracted and adapted from the existing literature. A questionnaire survey was administered in the big cities of Vietnam to a total of 602 consumers. Structural equation modeling (SEM) techniques have been employed to investigate the relationship among intention determinants to borrow. Findings show that perceived usefulness mediates the impact of subjective norms on the intention to borrow consumer credit. At the same time, subjective norms also directly influence the intention to borrow. Notably, anxiety, perceived trust, perceived financial cost, perceived ease of use have no significant influence on intention to borrow. Meanwhile, education level is confirmed to have a moderate influence on intention to borrow consumer credit of Vietnamese people. However, there is not enough statistical evidence about the influence of gender and marital status on the intention to borrow consumer credit in Vietnam. Based on the findings of the Vietnamese consumer credit market, we proposed some suggestions to promote the growth of the market in the future.

Raman spectroscopy of Cu doping in Zn1−xCoxO diluted magnetic semiconductor
Hoang, Luc Huy,Hien, Nguyen Thi Minh,Hai, Nguyen Hoang,Hai, Pham Van,Khoi, Nguyen The,Yang, In-Sang John Wiley Sons, Ltd. 2009 JOURNAL OF RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY - Vol.40 No.11
<P>The room-temperature ferromagnetism and the Raman spectroscopy of the Cu-doped Zn1−xCoxO powders prepared by the sol–gel method are reported. The x-ray diffraction (XRD) data confirmed that the wurtzite structure of ZnO is maintained for ZnO doped with Co below 10 at%. The magnetization–field curves measured at room temperature demonstrated that all Co-doped ZnO powders were paramagnetic. Ferromagnetic ordering is observed for the samples doped with Cu in Zn0.98Co0.02O and strongly depends on the concentration of Cu. The relative strength of the second-order LO peak to the first-order one in the Raman spectra, which is related to the carrier concentration, of the Cu-doped Zn0.98Co0.02O powder is strongly correlated with the saturation magnetic moment of the system. This seems to be in favor of the Ruderman-Kittel-Kasuya-Yosida (RKKY) or double exchange mechanism of the ferromagnetism in this system. Bank-Specific Determinants of Loan Growth in Vietnam: Evidence from the CAMELS Approach
NGUYEN, Hoang Dieu Hien,DANG, Van Dan Korea Distribution Science Association 2020 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.7 No.9
The paper empirically examines the bank-specific determinants of loan growth in the Vietnamese banking system for the period from 2007 to 2019. We approach the CAMELS framework and employ the dynamic panel regression to determine the effects of each CAMELS factor on bank lending. To ensure the robustness of results, we also use alternative definitions of the variables and different specifications with and without full sets of CAMELS components. With these settings, we display multiple important results. (i) We find that a large capital buffer tends to boost bank lending expansion faster. (ii) High asset quality might positively contribute to high loan growth; in other words, banks subject to high credit risk are discouraged from making loans. (iii) Less efficiently managed banks are more likely to adopt an aggressive lending strategy, highlighting the moral hazard incentives of Vietnamese banks. (iv) More profitable banks with excellent competitive advantages could expand their lending activities to a larger extent. (v) Liquidity is positively related to the loan growth of banks. (vi) Perceived interest rate risk tends to suppress loan growth since interest-rate-sensitive banks might be concerned about the adverse effects of unpredictable adverse changes in interest rates in the future.

Autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) are a group of neurodevelopmental disorders characterized by ritualistic- repetitive behaviors and impaired verbal and non-verbal communication. Boys are more likely to be diagnosed with ASD than girls. Genetics have been shown to play a key role in the etiology of autism. Many genes were found to be implicated in the inheritance of idiopathic autism. Analysis of mutation abnormalities associated with autism contributes significantly to the identification of autism candidate genes. Whole-exome sequencing has been shown as an application of the next generation sequencing technology used to determine the variations of all coding regions, or exons of the known genes. In the present study, we have found two novel heterozygous missense mutations (p.L111P and p.R3048C) on the RYR3 gene, which was located in the autism susceptibility region (15q14-q15) in a 9-year-old boy with ASD. Therefore, the sequence missense mutations provide the first suggestive link between a genetic abnormality in the RYR3 gene and a neurodevelopmental disorder.
Bank Capital and Lending Behavior of Vietnamese Commercial Banks
DANG, Van Dan,LE, Thi Tuyet Hoa,LE, Dinh Hac,NGUYEN, Hoang Dieu Hien Korea Distribution Science Association 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.2
The objective of the study is to empirically investigate the impact of bank capital on the lending behavior of Vietnamese commercial banks from 2007 to 2019. Lending behavior is captured by two dimensions, including the quantity (loan growth) and quality (credit risk) of loans. Instead of investigating loan growth and credit risk separately, we combine these two aspects in our study and further develop the interaction term between capital buffers and credit risk to capture the asymmetric impact. We apply the dynamic model (regressed by the generalized method of moments) and the static models (regressed using the fixed effects, random effects, and the pooled regression approach) to perform regressions. The results show that banks with higher capital ratios tend to expand lending more, while the risk of credit portfolios is controlled at lower levels at these banks. Further analysis reveals that credit risk mitigates some aspects of the relationship between bank capital and loan expansion. The patterns remain robust across alternative measures and econometric techniques. The study provides insightful policy implications for bank managers and regulators in the process of upgrading capital resources to ensure the safety and soundness of the banking industry in an emerging country.

Employability has recently become the first target of the national higher education. Its model has been updated to catch the new trend of Industry 4.0. This paper aims at analyzing and ranking the determinants of undergraduate employability, focusing on business and economics majors in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In-depth interviews with content analysis have been primarily conducted to reach an agreement on a key group of factors: human capital, social capital, and identity. The Stochastic Fractal Search Algorithm (SFSA) is then applied to rank the sub-factors. Human capital is composed of three major elements: attitude, skill, and knowledge. Social capital is approached at both structural and cognitive aspects with three typical types: bonding, bridging, and linking. The analysis has confirmed the change of priority in employability determinants. Human capital is still a driver but the priority of attitude has been confirmed in the contemporary context. Then, social capital with the important order of linking, bridging, and bonding is emphasized. Skill, knowledge, and identity share the least weight in the model. It is noted that identity is newly proposed in the model but a certain role has been found. The findings are crucial for education strategies to enhance university graduate employability.
