Hypotension in patients administered indigo carmine containing impurities -A case report-
Sung Hoon Kim,Eun Ha Suk,So Hyun Kil,함경돈,황재현 대한마취통증의학회 2011 Korean Journal of Anesthesiology Vol.61 No.5
Indigo carmine has been used for eight decades with few adverse effects. Several of our patients, however, experienced severe hypotensive episodes after indigo carmine administration within a period of one month. Analysis of the raw materials used to formulate the preparation of indigo carmine we used showed that they contained impurities. Following recall of these impure materials, none of our patients experienced further hypotensive episodes
Frontal Face Detection Based on Skin Color Segmentation and Partial Face Classifier
Sung-Hoon Kim,Hyon-Soo Lee 대한전자공학회 2009 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2009 No.7
This paper proposes a frontal face detection system based on skin color segmentation and partial face classifier. Firstly, the non-skin color pixels in the input image are removed by the skin color classifier which uses the mixed color model in RGB and CbCr spaces. Secondly, possible face block positions are detected by using the face detector which consists of the partial face classifier and the facial structure test. The experimental result for the proposed face detection system showed 95.3% detection rate.
Scheduling of Value-recoverable jobs for maximizing total job value over a given time horizon
Sunghoon Kim,Chang-Sup Sung,Eun-Seok Kim 대한산업공학회 2008 대한산업공학회 추계학술대회논문집 Vol.2008 No.11
This paper considers a value-recovery scheduling problem of multiple jobs over a given time horizon where each job decreases in its value with time, but it is value-recoverable such that the job can be recovered to its initial value-level by repeating its own recoverable process. The objective of the problem is to maximize total job value over a time horizon, in which a Heuristic-algorithm-based branch-and-bound algorithm is derived. A numerical experiment shows that the proposed heuristic provides effective solutions. This study results may immediately be applied to a variety of different scheduling issues including customer service ordering, customer satisfaction management, products/facility repairing, products display scheduling.

<P>We introduce an electron-donating self-assembled monolayer (SAM) to improve the performance of solution-processed n-channel organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) using an organic semiconductor (OS) of an N, N' bis-(octyl-)-dicyanoperylene-3,4:9,10-bis(dicarboximide) (PDI-8CN2). The OTFTs without SAM, with electron-withdrawing, and electron-donating layers, exhibited field-effect mobility of 0.02, 0.01, and 0.33 cm2/(V·s), respectively. The electron-donating thiophenol layer on source/drain electrodes shows a small injection barrier of 0.05 eV to the n-type OS and thus, exhibited field-effect mobility of 0.33 cm2/(V·s) and threshold voltage of -1.1 V.</P>
A New 1/4 Rate Modulation Techniques for Enhanced-xVSB System
Sung-Hoon Kim,Jae-Young Lee,Seung-Won Kim,Sooin Lee,Ahn, C.,Ki-Doo Kim IEEE 2007 IEEE transactions on broadcasting Vol.53 No.2
<P>In this paper, we describe a new 1/4 rate robust modulation techniques for Enhanced-xVSB system which is fully backward compatible with ATSC 8-VSB standard. 1/4 rate mode Enhanced-xVSB system provides broadcasters with a wide choice of trade-offs of data rate vs amount of robustness of enhanced data for pedestrian/mobile services. Lab test results of proposed Enhanced-xVSB 1/4 rate mode robust stream is a significantly improved multipath as well as AWGN reception performance for Enhanced-xVSB receiver. We suggest an Enhanced-xVSB terrestrial broadcasting system for ATSC HDTV and pedestrian/portable TV simultaneous broadcasting service providing</P>
