      • A Study on the Utilization and Prospect of ICT-Based Movement Support for the Mobility Handicapped

        Background/objectives: Due to the increase in mobility handicapped, related measures that reflect the needs of vulnerable people have been proposed in various fields. In particular, when entering an aging society, it is necessary to prepare for an overall social system. As the opportunities and demands for social participation of the elderly and the disabled are increasing, the need for research on the environment and mobility support for the mobility handicapped is increasing. Method/Statistical analysis: In the case of elderly people, the right to move has a close relationship with the economy when the guarantee for retirement life is insufficient. For the disabled, it is necessary to support movement to welfare facilities and medical support facilities, such as participation in rehabilitation and social education. System improvement and legislation are being made to guarantee the right to move for people with reduced mobility, but there are limitations in actual mobility support. Therefore, in this thesis, we intend to present a plan and a prospect of using ICT environment to support mobility of the mobility handicapped. Findings: By providing mobility support services in an ICT environment tailored to the types and characteristics of mobility handicapped, reflecting the mobility characteristics and requirements of mobility handicapped, we will improve the mobility autonomy of vulnerable people and provide welfare services and opportunities for social participation. Improvements/Application: Analyzing case studies on various mobility support using the ICT environment, we propose a plan to guarantee the right to move for the mobility handicapped.

      • A Study on the Prospect of Using loMT for Disease Prevention and Management

        Background/objectives: With the development of IT technology and interdisciplinary convergence technology, interest in medical services, healthcare, bioinformatics, and public management is increasing. It is changing from passive disease management to active disease management using IoT devices. Methods/Statistical analysis: Due to the paradigm shift in the medical and health industries due to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, interest in disease prevention including disease management is increasing. Research on the Internet of Medical Things is being actively conducted as a method for such disease prevention and management services. Therefore, in this paper, we will examine medical ICT devices, healthcare devices, and IoMT in the IoT environment, and propose an efficient use method of IoMT for disease prevention and management and a prospect for this. Findings: In order to smoothly operate disease prevention and management based on the IoMT environment, problems such as expansion of ICT infrastructure, development of the system, and training of experts are expected to be solved. Improvements/Applications: In addition, in the use of IoMT, reorganization of policies and legal systems, improvement of security technology and awareness of personal information, and user consent for sensitive information are tasks to be resolved.

        屈原의 역사 인식

        본고는 굴원의 작품(屈賦)을 대상으로 그의 역사 인식 탐구를 시도한 결과 몇 가지 사항을 도출하였다. 첫째, 그의 역사 인식에는 유가적 특성인 상고주의와 감계주의 경향을 보이고 있었다. 堯舜시대, 夏・殷・周 三代를 이상시대로 설정하고, 그러한 시대를 가치 판단의 기준으로 삼아 평가하려는 상고주의 경향이 농후하였다. 이는 과거 역사 속에서 규범을 찾아 그것을 거울로 삼아 후대의 일을 비추어 보려고 하는 감계주의로 이어졌다. 둘째, 굴원은 역사 가운데 不可知의 영역이 있음을 인식하였다. 이것을 인식하게 된 출발점은 자신의 불우한 인생이었고, 역사상 자신과 같은 사례가 비일비재했다. 그러한 원인은 역시 알 수 없었다. 셋째, 굴원은 不可知의 영역에 巫를 통해 접근하려고 하였다. 「천문」이 시종 의문문으로 구성된 점과 ‘하늘에 묻는다’는 제목은 작품의 巫歌的 성격을 반영한다. 「이소」와 「구장」에서는 靈的 또는 巫的 능력의 소유자를 등장시켜 불가지의 영역에 접근하려는 구성 방식이 일반화되고 있었다. This study shows some features of Quyuan"s literary works by analyzing his works focussing on studying his historical perception. First of all, his works reflected Confucian character of ‘the respect for the past’ and ‘didacticism for the past’ based on his historical perception. The period of Emperor Yao, Emperor Shun and the period of “Xia, Shang and Zhou” (three peaceful period) were considered as an ideal period in his work and he set it as a standard of assessment, which clearly suggesting ‘respect for the past’ and ‘didacticism for the past’. It consequently led to the thought which we should ruminate past and model of the future. Secondly, Quyuan had a perception that there were ‘unknown area’ in history. The background of this thought came from his deprived life, which was frequent common, even though the reason wasn"t clear. Lastly, Quyuan tried to approach unknown area by shamanism. For example, one of the his works, the title of 「Tianmen」 reflected characteristic of shamanism song. The work 「Lisao」 and 「Jiuzhang」 also approached ‘unknown area’ by using hero character such as Spiriture or Shamanism, which suggested this method got into general use in his works.

        치과자동차보험 보철수가제도에 관한 치과 의료공급자의 인식도 및 적정성방안에 관한 연구

        Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate recognition and adequacy of dental service providers regarding dental prosthodontic treatment covered by dental auto insurance system. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 320 dentists and dental hygienists in Seoul, Gyeonggido, and Incheon from February 22 to March 21, 2016. The questionnaire consisted of recognition and needs of auto insurance (4 items), and recognition of prosthodontic treatment covered by dental auto insurance system. Likert five point scale was used in the questionnaire. Data were analyzed by SPSS 21.0 program. Cronbach’s alpha was 0.856 in the study. Results: The average of recognition was 2.62 and that of adequacy of auto insurance coverage was 1.98. The reasonable price of crown treatment was from 400,000 to 500,000 Korean Won in 67.9 percent of the dentists. But 49.8 percent of the dental hygienists answered that the reasonable price of crown was 300,000 to 400,000 Korean Won. The dentists preferred to treatment fee covered by dental auto insurance. The dental hygienists had a preference to combination of dental auto insurance and medical insurance fee. Conclusions: The opinion of the dental care providers should be considered and the adequate coverage of insurance would improve the dental health care.

      • Simple Method To Characterize the Ciliary Proteome of Multiciliated Cells

        <P>Motile cilia of multiciliated epithelial cells have important roles in animal development and cell homeostasis. Although several studies have identified and reported proteins localized in this complex organelle and the related immotile primary cilia from various cell types, it is still challenging to isolate high quantities of ciliary proteins for proteomic analysis. In this study, African clawed frog (<I>Xenopus laevis</I>) embryos, which have many multiciliated cells in the epidermis, were treated with a simple ionic buffer to identify 1009 proteins conserved across vertebrates; these proteins were putatively localized in motile cilia. Using two ciliary proteome databases, we confirmed that previously validated cilia-associated proteins are highly enriched in our ciliary proteome. Proteins localized at the transition zone and Ellis-van Creveld zone, which are distinct regions at the base of cilia, near the junction with the apical cell surface, were isolated using our method. Among the newly identified ciliary proteins, we report that KRT17 may have an unrecognized function in motile cilia. Hence, the method developed in this study would be useful for understanding the ciliary proteome.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

        국내 코로나 확진자 데이터 분석을 통한 지역 간 감염 전파 시뮬레이션 연구

        COVID-19과 같은 바이러스 전염병의 확산은 보균자의 지역 간 이동을 통해서 일어나곤 한다. 본 연구는 시뮬레이션 연구를 통해 2019년에 비해서 큰 폭으로 감소한 2020년의 대중교통을 이용한 지역간의 이동이 전염병의 확산에 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지 살펴본다. 예비 연구의 단계에서는 질병관리청에서 발표한 감염자-피감염자의 쌍에 대한 정보를 바탕으로 트리구조의 감염 계보를 생성하고, 한 명의 보균자가 확률적으로 몇 명의 피감염자를 발생시키는가에 대한 확률 분포가 두 개의 확률 분포의 중첩의 형태로 되어있음을 확인한다. 주 연구인 시뮬레이션 연구에서는 한국철도공사에서 제공하는 여객 승하차 데이터를 이용해 서울-부산간 대중 교통 이용량을 추정하고, 포아송 과정을 이용한 시뮬레이션 연구를 수행 하였다. 이를 통해 2019년에 비해서 약 3배가 줄어든 2020년의 대중교통 이동량이 전염 수치에 대해 큰 차이를 가져오는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 이는 당국의 이동 자제 권고와 국민들의 수준높은 협조가 전염병의 확산을 저지하는데 큰 역할을 하고 있음을 의미한다. The spread of viral epidemics such as COVID-19 occurs through the movement of carriers between regions. This simulation study examines how the inter-regional movement using public transportation in 2020, which has significantly decreased compared to 2019, has affected the spread of infectious disease. In the preliminary research, a tree-structured infection genealogy is generated based on the information on the carrier-infected person pair published by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the probability distribution of how many infected people are probabilistic by one carrier. It is confirmed that the probability distribution is a convolution of two different distributions. In the main simulation study, the amount of public transportation used between Seoul and Busan was estimated using the passenger boarding and disembarkation data provided by the Korea Railroad Corporation, and a simulation study was performed using the Poisson process. It was confirmed that the amount of public transport travel in 2020, which is about three times less than in 2019, makes a bigdifference in the number of contagions. This substantiates that the authorities recommendation to refrain from movement and the high level of citizen cooperation play big roles in preventing the spread of infectious disease.

        Software industry still has a lot of problems. The software industry has grown rapidly. However, it is necessary to grow a mature software industry than such as manufacturing. Therefore, many researchers have studied software design methodology in order to reuse software design. However, the developer has a partial re-use in design. In this paper, we proposed the mechanism to solve this problem. This methodology includes providing a software platform by the service industry, and, based on this unit to assemble the components and the software to be produced. In this paper, we present a software architecture that can be produced by assembling the service platform and the component unit.

        EXPERIMENTAL APPROACHES FOR WATER DISCHARGE CHARACTERISTICS IN PEMFC USING NEUTRON IMAGING TECHNIQUE AT CONRAD, HMI

        In this investigation, we prepared a 1 and 3-parallel serpentine single PEMFC, which has an active area of 100 cm2 and a flow channel cross section of 1x1mm. Distribution and transport of water in a non-operating PEMFC were observed by varying flow types and the flow rates (250, 400, and 850 cc/min). This investigation was performed at the neutron imaging facility at the COld Neutron RAdiography facility (CONRAD), HMI, Germany of which the collimation ratio and neutron fluence rate are 250, 1 106 n/s/cm2, respectively. The neutron image was continuously recorded by a scintillator and lens- CCD coupled detector system every 10 seconds. It has been observed that although the distilled water was supplied into the cathode channel only, the neutron image showed a water movement from the cathode to the anode channel. The water at the cathode channel was completely discharged as soon as the pressurized air was supplied. But the water at the anode channel was not easily removed by the pressurized air except for the 3-parallel serpentine type with 850 cc/min of air flow rate. Moreover, the water at the MEA wasn’t removed for any of the cases.

        Shannon’s Entropy와 DEA의 결합모형을 이용한 국내 은행의 효율성 분석

        본 연구는 최근 국내 은행산업의 가장 큰 특징인 대형화와 겸업화가 은행의 효율성에 미치는 영향을 비모수적 접근방법(Non-Parametric Approach)인 자료봉합법(Data Envelopment Analysis: DEA)과 다양한 DEA 모형의 효율성 결과 값들을 모두 고려하여 DMU별 최종 효율성 값을 도출하는 모형인 Shannon’s Entropy의 결합모형을 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 금융중개기능 접근법(Intermediation Approach)에 기초하여 1999년부터 2013년까지 국내 17 은행(7개 시중은행, 6개 지방은행, 4개 특수은행)의 자료를 이용하여 DEA 모형별 효율성을 추정하였고, Shannon’s Entropy를 이용하여 국내 은행의 최종 효율성을 산출하였다. 분석결과, 국민은행과 산업은행, 그리고 농협은 연도별로 고르게 효율성 값이 상위권에 위치하였고, 광주은행과 전북은행, 그리고 제주은행은 효율성이 지속적으로 낮게 나타났다. 시중은행 중에서는 국민은행의 15개년 동안 평균 효율성이 0.997로 1위를 차지하였고, 특수은행 중에서는 농협의 평균 효율성이 0.965로 높게 분석되었고, 지방은행 중에서는 대구은행이 평균 0.294의 효율성 값을 보이며 지방은행 중에서는 가장 높게 나타났다. 분석 결과를 종합해 보면, 상대적으로 규모가 큰 시중은행과 특수은행의 효율성이 다른 지방은행에 비해서 상대적으로 높게 나타났고, 지방은행의 낮은 효율성은 규모면에서 상대적으로 작은 지방은행이 직면하고 있는 규모의 비효율성에서 기인한다고 추측할 수 있다. 따라서 지방은행이 효율적인 자본중개기능을 수행하기 위해서는 은행의 규모를 확장함으로써 규모의 효율성을 제고할 필요가 있고 이를 위한 보다 많은 지방은행 자체의 노력과 함께 금융당국의 정책적 의지가 필요해 보인다. This study investigates the efficiency of 17 Korean banks (7 nationwide commercial banks, 6 provincial banks, and 4 specialized banks) using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), which is a non-parametric method widely used for efficiency assessment of units having similar characteristics. However, the DEA method has a problem of making the choice of the specific model difficult. One way of overcoming this difficulty is Shannon’s Entropy measure and it combines the DEA models in such a way that all the efficiency results calculated from each model are considered in the integrated model to rank the units. Therefore, the paper examines the Korean bank efficiency from 1999 to 2013 by employing the methodology based upon Shannon’s entropy formula for combining the efficiency results of different DEA models (CCR-I, BCC-I, BCC-O, FDH-I, and SBM-I). The empirical results show that Kookmin bank, Korea Development bank, and NongHyup bank are the most efficient banks among Korean banks throughout our sample period, while Kwangju bank, Jeonbuk bank, and Jeju bank are the least efficient banks. Among nationwide commercial banks, the average efficiency of Kookmin bank for 15 years is the highest at 0.997. NongHyup bank has the average efficiency score of 0.965 and it achieves the highest efficiency among specialized banks. Even though all provincial banks have a low efficiency score, Daegu bank has 0.294 which is the highest level among provincial banks. Overall, while all nationwide commercial banks and specialized banks which are relatively big in size have high efficiency scores, all provincial banks turn out to be inefficient. We conjecture that the low level of efficiency of provincial banks may be caused by the diseconomy of scale. Therefore, it is very important that to improve the efficiency of provincial banks, it is necessary to increase the size of provincial banks through their own efforts. In addition, the Financial Services Authority needs to take an appropriate action to support provincial banks.
