유한요소법에 의한 헬리컬기어의 맞물림 강도특성에 관한 연구

In this study, the mesh stiffness characteristics of helical gears are evaluated by applying the finite element method. The bending and shear deflections on the contact line are obtained by the finite element method, and the contact deflections are obtained using the equation of Weber and Banaschek. Finally, using the influence method, contact ratio and load sharing ratio, the mesh stiffness characteristics of helical gears are evaluated. The results obtained could be summarized as follows: 1) By increasing the facewidth and helix angle of helical gears, a more constant mesh stiffness and transmission errors are obtained. 2) m_p+m_f〈2.0 The characteristics of this class helical gear pair are similar to that of spur gear. 3) m_p+ 1.0m_f≥2.0 This class helical gear pair gives a good performance as expected from helical gears.
식물세포배양기술을 이용한 약용식물 개똥쑥 세포주 유도 및 세포주 추출물의 wound healing effect

현재 많은 나라들은 자생식물을 활용한 산업소재를 개발하는 데 지대한 관심을 가지고 있다. 특히 화장품 산업은 친환경, 자연친화적인 소재를 찾는데 집중하고 있는 추세이다. 우수한 생리활성 물질을 포함한 식물을 식물세포배양기술을 이용하여 대량으로 배양하고 그 함유물을 고농도로 얻음으로 효과적인 소재로 개발하려고 노력하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 항암, 항균, 항산화, 항염 등의 효능이 입증되어 세계적으로 주목받고 있는 개똥쑥을 선택하여 식물세포배양기술을 이용해 유도한 캘러스의 화장품 소재로서의 가능성을 확인하고자 하였다. 약 6개월 동안 식물세포배양기술로 개똥쑥 캘러스를 유도 하였고, 유도된 캘러스를 얻어 열수 및 에탄올 추출하여 약 2개월간 다양한 효능을 시험하였다. HPLC 분석을 통하여 열수 및 에탄올 추출물의 유효성분에 차이를 보임을 확인하였다. 또한 효능평가에서도 차이를 보였다. 개똥쑥 캘러스 에탄올 추출 물을 처리하였을 경우 항염관련 단백질인 COX-2의 발현을 50% 이상 감소시키고 wound healing assay를 통해 상처 치유능 이 70%정도 증가함을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 개똥쑥 캘러스 추출물이 자연친화적, 친환경적인 소재로써 항염 및 상처치료 관련 제품에 기여할 것으로 예상된다. Currently, many countries have an interest in developing cosmetics materials using native plants. In this aspect, there is increasing need to develop cosmetics materials using native plants in our county. In the present study, calluses were induced from Artemisia annua Linne, which was highlighted because of its useful effects, such as anti-cancer, anti-fungal and anti-inflammation. Water and ethanol extractions were performed from the calluses of Artemisia annua Linne. After the mass production of Artemisia annua Linne's calluses, water and ethanol extraction was performed to examine its functional roles in healing wounds and inflammation. The differences in the effective elements were observed in the ethanol extract. The callus showed anti-inflammation activity through the suppression of the inflammation-related gene, COX-2, and ethanol extracts showed their ability to heal wounds. Overall, these results suggest that the extract of Artemisia annua Linne’s calluses is a natural and environment-friendly material, and can be used as medical supplies associated with anti-inflammation and healing wounds.

Air flow measurement is a fundamental and important task for testing, adjusting, and balancing of HVAC system. However, it is difficult to carry out in the field due to the large size and weight of the flow meter. In this study, for the purpose of developing a small and portable flow meter, we proposed a different method of static pressure measurement and verified it experimentally. In the proposed method, static pressure difference was measured by inserting a tube inside the chamber before and after the nozzles. The results were compared with measurements according to the ANSI/ASHRAE standard. The results were in good agreement, indicating that the inserted tube method could be used for static pressure measurement of a portable flow meter. The proposed method eliminates the pressure tubes that are attached outside, which results in smaller size and easy handling.
상추 중 Lambda-cyhalothrin과 Deltamethrin의 잔류 특성

This study was carried out to investigate the residue patterns of two insecticides, lambda-cyhalothrin and deltamethrin, commonly used for lettuce, under greenhouse conditions. The pesticides were sprayed with dilution of recommended and doubled doses onto lettuce. Their detection limits were 0.001 ㎎ㆍ㎏?¹ and mean recoveries at the fortification levels of 0.2 and 1.0 ㎎ㆍ㎏?¹ were from 101.17 to 104.25 and from 99.70 to 103.77%, respectively. The pesticides were gradually decreased in lettuce with time. Biological half-lives of lambda-cyhalothrin and deltamethrin were 1.7 and 1.4 days at the recommended dose and 1.8 and 1.4 days at the doubled dose, respectively. Initial residue amounts of lambda-cyhalothrin and deltamethrin at the recommended and doubled doses exceeded their MRLs. However, the residue levels of the pesticides in the crop sampled at harvest were less than their MRLs. The ratios of the estimated daily intake (EDI) to acceptable daily intake (ADI) by intake the crop harvested 10 days after spraying were less than 1% of their ADIs.
High-throughput Screening and Selection of Artificial Lactam Riboswitch

Caprolactam is a monomer used for the synthesis of nylon-6. An intracellular biosensor for caprolactam can facilitate high-throughput metabolic engineering of recombinant microbial strains. Because of the mixed production of caprolactam and valerolactam in the recombinant strain, a caprolactam biosensor should be highly specific for caprolactam. However, a highly specific caprolactam sensor has not been reported. Here, we developed an artificial riboswitch that specifically responds to caprolactam. This riboswitch was prepared using a coupled in vitro-in vivo selection strategy with a heterogeneous pool of RNA aptamers obtained from in vitro selection to construct a riboswitch library used in in vivo selection. The caprolactam riboswitch successfully discriminated caprolactam from valerolactam. This riboswitch enabled caprolactam-dependent control of cell growth, which will be useful for improving caprolactam production and is a valuable tool for metabolic engineering.
정량적인 선박 의장시스템 신뢰성 평가를 위한 Dynamic fault tree 작성 및 Bayesian network 로의 변환

선박 의장시스템은 선박에 필요한 다양한 기능을 제공하기 위해 선박 전체에 배치되어 사용된다. 선박 의장시스템이 고장으로 인해 이러한 기능을 할 수 없게 될 경우, 선박 전체의 운항에 영향을 끼쳐 인명이나 환경에 피해를 입힐 수 있는 사고가 발생하는데 원인을 제공할 수 있다. 따라서 선박의 수명주기 중에서도 설계 단계에서 의장시스템의 신뢰성 평가 및 위험도 평가를 수행하는 업무에 대한 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 시스템 신뢰성 평가를 위한 방법으로 Dynamic fault trees 를 작성한 후, 이를 정량적으로 계산하기 위한 방법으로 Bayesian networks 를 사용한다. Ship machinery systems are used to provide a variety of functions at multiple locations in a whole ship. If any system fails to operate and loses its own function, it will affect ship operation. Subsequently, an accident, causing loss of lives or environmental pollution, can be induced by the failures of systems. Thus, ship machinery systems should be analyzed in terms of system reliability or safety during the design stage. This paper gives a methodology for quantitative system reliability assessment by constructing dynamic fault trees and converging them into Bayesian networks for calculation.
