        중국 빈곤층에서 자산이 우울에 미치는 영향에 관한 분석: 자산 규모와 자산 유형들의 영향을 중심으로

        본 연구는 중국 빈곤층에서 가계 자산의 규모 및 자산 유형이 우울에 미치는 영향들을 실증 분석하고, 중국의 빈곤문제 대응과 관련한 정책적 함의를 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 중국가족패널조사(CFPS) 2018년도 데이터를 활용하였고, 2,410명 빈곤층을 대상으로 분석하였다. 주요 분석결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 중국 빈곤층의 총자산, 순자산, 금융자산액은 비빈곤층에 비해 현저히 낮은 것으로 나타나, 빈곤층은 소득뿐 아니라 자산 보유에서도 매우 취약한 것으로 확인되었다. 빈곤층이 보유한 자산 대부분은 주거 관련 부동산 자산이었고, 유동 자산인 금융 자산의 보유는 매우 소규모로 확인되었다. 둘째, 빈곤층에서 자산의 우울 영향을 분석한 결과, 총자산 및 순자산 규모는 우울에 부적(-) 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 자산 유형의 영향에서는 부동산은 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았고, 금융자산은 우울에 부적(-) 영향을, 부채는 우울에 정적(+) 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 자산이 빈곤층의 우울 등의 정신건강에 중요한 영향이 있음을 확인하는 바로, 중국사회의 심각한 현안인 빈곤문제 개선을 위해서는 자산형성정책의 적극적 활용이 필요한 것으로 평가되었다. This study aims to examine the effects of assets and major asset types on depression among the poor and to explore effective policy measures for the poor in China. To this end, China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) 2018th data were used and 2,410 poor people were analyzed in this study. The major results are as follows: First, amounts of the total assets, net assets, property assets, financial assets of the poor are significantly less than the non-poor. And, most part of the family assets is property asset, ratio of financial asset is very small. Second, from regression model analyses, we found out negative effects of total assets and net assets on the depression of the poor. And, we found out different effects of asset types; non-significant effect of property asset, negative effect of financial asset, positive effect of liabilities on depression of the poor. These results suggest that asset-building policy is the effective anti-poverty strategies in China through the improvement of the mental health such as depression of the poor.

        Integrated analysis of transcriptomic and proteomic analyses reveals different metabolic patterns in the livers of Tibetan and Yorkshire pigs

        Objective: Tibetan pigs, predominantly originating from the Tibetan Plateau, have been subjected to long-term natural selection in an extreme environment. To characterize the metabolic adaptations to hypoxic conditions, transcriptomic and proteomic expression patterns in the livers of Tibetan and Yorkshire pigs were compared. Methods: RNA and protein were extracted from liver tissue of Tibetan and Yorkshire pigs (n = 3, each). Differentially expressed genes and proteins were subjected to gene ontology and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes functional enrichment analyses. Results: In the RNA-Seq and isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation analyses, a total of 18,791 genes and 3,390 proteins were detected and compared. Of these, 273 and 257 differentially expressed genes and proteins were identified. Evidence from functional enrichment analysis showed that many genes were involved in metabolic processes. The combined transcriptomic and proteomic analyses revealed that small molecular biosynthesis, metabolic processes, and organic hydroxyl compound metabolic processes were the major processes operating differently in the two breeds. The important genes include retinol dehydrogenase 16, adenine phosphoribosyltransferase, prenylcysteine oxidase 1, sorbin and SH3 domain containing 2, ENSSSCG00000036224, perilipin 2, ladinin 1, kynurenine aminotransferase 1, and dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase 1. Conclusion: The findings of this study provide novel insight into the high-altitude metabolic adaptation of Tibetan pigs.

        Acetylated starch-based biodegradable materials with potential biomedical applications as drug delivery systems

        from tablets coated with starch-based polymer were examined. Maize starch acetates (SA) were prepared by acetyl esterication with adegree of substitution from 1.31 to 2.40, and bovine serum albumin was used as a model drug. Forin-vitrodrug release assays, the starch-based polymer was incubated in simulated gastric uid, simulated intestinal uid and simulated colonic uid, respectively. The resistantstarch content and swelling property of maize starch were increased by acetylation, which retarded its enzymatic degradation. Drugfor a potential drug delivery carrier for colon-targeting biomacromolecule drugs.

        Folic acid supplementation regulates key immunity-associated genes and pathways during the periparturient period in dairy cows

        Objective: The current research was aimed to profile the transcriptomic picture of the peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBLs) associated with immunity in Chinese Holsteins supplemented orally with coated folic acid during the periparturient period. Methods: The total of 123 perinatal cows were selected for this study and divided into three groups; group A (n = 41, 240 mg/500 kg cow/d), group B (n = 40, 120 mg/500 kg cow/d) and group C (n = 42, 0 mg/cow/d) based on the quantity of folic acid fed. Three samples of PBLs were selected from each folic acid treated group (high, low, and control) and RNA sequencing method was carried out for transcriptomic analysis. Results: The analysis revealed that a higher number of genes and pathways were regulated in response to high and low folic acid supplementation compared to the controls. We reported the novel pathways tumor necrosis factor (TNF) signaling, antigen processing and presentation, Staphylococcus aureus infection and nuclear factor (NF)-kappa B signaling pathways) and the key genes (e.g. C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 10, TNF receptor superfamily member 1A, cluster difference 4, major histocompatibility complex, class II, DQ beta, NF-kappa-B inhibitor alpha, and TNF superfamily 13) having great importance in immunity and anti-inflammation in the periparturient cows in response to coated folic acid treatment. Conclusion: Collectively, our study profiled first-time transcriptomic analysis of bovine lymphocytes and compared the involved cytokines, genes, and pathways between high vs control and low vs control. Our data suggest that the low folic acid supplementation (120 mg/500 kg) could be a good choice to boost appropriate immunity and anti-inflammation as well as might being applied to the health improvement of perinatal dairy cows.
