      • 서울市內一部 動物病院에서 臨床診療된 愛玩犬의 病類別 分布에 對한 醫學統計學的 考察

        우리 나라의 소동물 수의임상분야(獸醫臨床分野)에서 주류를 이루고 있는 애완견의 병류별 질병분포를 파약하여 수의임상반야의 기초자료로 제시하고자 시도하고 서울시내 중견 동물병원 5곳을 무작위선택방법에 의하여 선정하여 1993년도부터 1995년도 말까지 3개년간의 임상의료철을 수집, 의학통계학적 방법을 이용 분석 및 관찰한바 몇 자기 결과를 얻어 다음과 같이 적요 한다. 진료과별 진료건수의 분포를 보면, 전체진료건수 8,360건 중에서 내과질환이 53.6%를 점유하고, 외과질환은 13.01%, 비뇨생식기질환1.96%, 피부과질환 15.47%, 안과질환 2.68% 그리고 이(耳)과질환 13.28% 등으로 관찰되었다. 조사 관찰된 내과질환은 총 19종의 질병과 4,481건의 진료건수가 있었으며, 이중에서 위발증(胃發症)이 가장 많아 21.38%를 점유하고 있었고, 외과질환은 성형외과와 정형외과 질환을 포함하여 역시 총 19종의 질병과 1,088건의 진료건수가 있었는데, 이중에서 외상(外傷)이 가장 많아 19.21%, 비뇨 생식기질환은 6종류의 질병과 164건의 진료건수가 있었으며, 그 중에서 비뇨기 감염증이 가장 많아 37.0%를, 피부질환은 5종의 질병에 1,293건의 진료가 있었고, 이중에서 체외기생충의 감염이 37.74% 그리고 안이과(眼耳科)질환은 7종에 1,332건으로 외이염(外耳炎)이 가장 많아 59.49%를 점유하고 있었다. 애완견에서 빈발하는 10대 질환의 분포를 관찰하바, 위염 (11.46%), 위장염(10.28%), 외이염(9.74%), 기관기관지염(8.49%), 대장염(6.41%), 체외기생충증(5.84%), 체내기생충증(4.35%), 이내(耳內) 진드기(3.8%), 피부진균증(3.53%) 및 피지누증 (3.12%) 등의 순으로 관찰되었다. 끝으로 애완견의 전염병으로는 distemper가 44.8%, parvoviral infection 39.37%, coronaviral infection 15.83% 그리고 본조사기간중 서울시내에서의 rabies 발생건수는 전혀 없었다. The purpose of this study was to a retrospective and medical statistical observation on the clinical cases of pet-dogs by veterinary hospital in Seoul City, during the period from 1993 to 1995, which important not only in veterinary clinic but also pet animal health information system development for veterinary practitioner of Korea. The results were summarized as follows: In the clinical cases determined by the international classification of diseases, during the period of three years, 8,358 cases of morbidity of pet-dogs were shown by five veterinary hospital for small animals. Among them, the disease of internal medicine, including medicine, including digestive, respiratory, circulatory, metabolic and parasitosis were 53.6% of total cases, the surgical disease, including orthopedic and plastic surgery were 13.01%, the disease of urogenital was 1.96%, the disease of dermatology was 15.47%, the disease of ophthalmic was 2.68% and the disease of otiatric was 13.28%, respectively. The gastric crisis of 21.38% among 4,481 cases of 19 kinds on the disease of internal medicine showed the highest morbidity. The trauma of 19.21% among 1,088 cases of 19 kinds in the surgery, including orthopedic and plastic surgery, the case of urogenic infection of 37.0% among 164 cases of 6 kinds in the urogenital organe, the ectoparasitosis of 37.24% among 1,293 cases of 5 kinds in the disease of dermatology, the otitis externa of 59.49% among 1,332 cases of 7 kinds n the opthalmatic and otiatric diseases showed the highest morbidity in each part of veterinary clinics. Observation on the morbidity of the main disease of pet-dogs were gastritis (11.46%), gastroenteritis (10.28%), ectoparasitosis (9.64%) including ear-mite, otitis externa (9.47%), trachobronchitis (8.49%), enterocolitis (6.41%), endoparasitosis (4.35%), dermatophytosis (3.53%) and seborrhea (3.12%), respectively. Finally, distributive observation on the incidence case of the main infections disease in pet-dogs which that distemper, parvoviral infection and coronaviral infection were 44.80%, 39.37% and 15.83, respectively.

      • Chronic profuse vaginal discharge could be related to lobular endocervical glandular hyperplasia (LEGH) or adenoma malignum: Analysis of fourteen cases

        Lobular endocervical glandular hyperplasia (LEGH) is a benign lesion characterized by non-invasive proliferation of endocervical glandular cells. Adenoma malignum, known as minimal deviation adenocarcinoma of the uterine cervix is an extremely well-differentiated mucinous adenocarcinoma. The objective of this study was to look for the characteristic findings in LEGH and the major consideration in the differential diagnosis with adenoma malignum. We carried out a retrospective analysis of cases treated at our hospital from 2002 to 2012. All cases of LEGH and adenama malignum presented profuse watery vaginal discharge, and transvaginal ultrasonography and MRI findings showed multicystic lesion. Pap smear was usually normal and conization was the main diagnostic method, however conization was not appropriate in cases of deep and highly located lesion. In these cases, we performed laparoscopic excisional biopsy or hysteroscopic biopsy with frozen section for differential diagnosis of adenoma malignum from LEGH. LEGH, LEGH with adenocarcinoma in situ, and adenoma malignum present similar clinical findings. Due to apparent difference in the treatment, an accurate preoperative differential diagnosis is necessary. Conization is the diagnostic method of choice. But, in cases of deep and highly located lesion or where conization could not include the exact lesion, further evaluation such as laparoscopic excisional biopsy or hysteroscopic biopsy with frozen section instead of conization only shoule be considered.

      • Case Report : The ex utero intrapartum treatment (EXIT) procedure for a fetal neck mass

        Large fetal neck masses may be associated with fetal airway obstruction, which can lead to neonatal hypoxia, brain injury, and death in the neonatal period. The relationship between a fetal neck mass and airway structures can be assessed prenatally with ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The ex utero intrapartum treatment (EXIT) procedure is a procedure to secure the fetal airway, while preserving the feto-maternal circulation at the time of cesarean delivery. In the case reported herein, an anterior fetal neck mass measuring approximately 7 cm in size, was diagnosed with ultrasound and MRI which suggested possible airway involvement immediate after birth. Therefore, the EXIT procedure was successfully performed with a multidisciplinary approach at the time of delivery. After birth, the neonate underwent surgery and the histopathologic result indicated that the lesion was a cavernous lymphangioma. Herein we report a case involving a fetal neck mass diagnosed with ultrasound and MRI and treated with the EXIT procedure, with a brief review of the literature.

        매실열매를 이용한 천연염색개발에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 홍 장아찌에서의 빛깔 추출과 그 색의 구현에 기초를 두고 있다. 홍 장아찌는 매실에 차조기를 첨가하여 만든 식품으로 매우 고운 자홍색(magenta) 계열이다. 실험은 단독염색이 아닌 매실과 차조기의 배합염색방법을 이용한 색소추출 방식으로 새로운 염재 개발의 가능성을 실험 하였으며 붉은 계열 외 기대 이상의 다양한 색을 본문의 사진과 같이 추출 하였다. 또한 차조기는 아토피성 피부염에도 효능이 있다는 학설이 있어 염재 개발은 물론,그에 따른 기능성 상품 개발에 그 가능성이 크다고 본다. 견뢰도 측정은 한국 섬유개발연구원에 의뢰하였다. 색상 견뢰도 측정결과는 실크보다 삼베 소재가 높고 또 전반적으로 염색 후 명반매염의 견뢰도가 가장 높은 편이었다. 염색시간10분,염액 추출시간이 100℃/5분의 조건에서 염색 후 명반매염의 삼베,염색 후 철매염한 마 소재 등의 붉은 계열이 색상 견뢰도가 높게 나왔다. 이제 친환경제품이 미래 섬유산업의 주가 될 것으로 예상되며 환경과 사람에게 안전한 우리 전래의 천연 염색기법이 그 해답이 될 것으로 보인다. This researchs tarted to extract and express the color of red plum pick lefor natural dyeing. Red plum pickle is traditional Korean food made from plum and purple perilla plant which ha s a very fine magenta tone. Blending dyeing technique using plum and purple per illa plant applied to ex tract pigment. As the purple per illa plant is known to effective In dermatiti s as a th eor y, it looks possib le to develop dyeing material also funtiona l text ile goods with it. We requested color- fastness measurement to Korea Texti le Development Institu te. The resu lt is that hemp cloth ha s high in color - tastness than silk and generall y, alum mordan t cloth which previously dyed also hig h in color- fas tnes s. In condition that of 10 minutes of dyeing time with 10 O'C/5minutes of dyeing solution ex traction, alum and iron mordant hemp cloth that of reel colors which previously dyed proved high in color - fas tnes s than others. It seems clear that the environment friendl y produ ct s have the an swer In future texti le busin ess and believe our traditiona l natural dyeing techniques that doesn't any harm to health and environment could be the answer.

        ‘식생활 단원’의 가족식사 관련 내용 분석: 2015 개정 기술‧가정과 교육과정 및 교과서를 중심으로

        본 연구에서는 중학교 기술․가정 교과서의 가족식사 관련 내용을 파악하기 위해 2009 개정 및 2015 개정 중학교 기술․가정과 교육과정의 식생활 내용을 비교․분석하였다. 또한 2015 개정 기술․가정과 교육과정에 따른 12종 중학교 기술․가정2 교과서를 대상으로 가족식사 관련 내용과 활동 과제를 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2015 개정 교육과정에서는 2009 개정 교육과정에 제시되었던 ‘녹색 식생활’ 관련 내용 요소가 제외되고 ‘가족의 요구를 반영한 식사와 안전한 식생활’에 대한 내용이 추가되었다. 둘째, 가족식사의 정의, 필요성 등의 내용이 명확하게 제시되어 있는 교과서는 없었으나, 대부분의 교과서는 영양 섭취기준과 식사 계획의 대상을 가족 단위로 확대하여 제시하고 있었다. 셋째, 가족식사 관련 교과서의 활동 과제는 대부분 개별 학습 활동이었고, 교육과정에 제시된 기능에 따라 분석한 결과, 활동과제가 판단하기, 조사하기, 평가하기에 편중되어 있었다. 이에 가족식사 관련 내용을 교육과정과 교과서에 보다 적극 반영하고, 실생활에 적용할 수 있는 가족식사 프로그램을 개발할 필요가 있다. The purpose of this study was to make a comparative analysis of content systems, achievement standards, and learning elements in relation to dietary life in 2009 and 2015 revised middle school textbooks of technology and home economics textbooks for contents regarding family meals in the unit of dietary life. Contents and activity tasks regarding family meals in 12 types of middle school textbooks of technology and home economics based on the 2015 revised technology & home economics curriculum were analyzed. The following results were obtained. First, the 2015 revised technology & home economics curriculum removed contents regarding ‘green dietary life’ from the 2009 revised technology & home economics curriculum and added contents regarding ‘meals reflecting family needs and safe dietary life’. Second, while none of the 12 types of textbooks clarified the definition or need of family meals, most of them extended nutrition intake criteria and target of meal planning into the unit of family. Third, most of activity tasks related to family meals were individual learning activities rather than small-group or collective learning activity tasks and focused on judgment, investigation, and evaluation on the basis of functions in the curriculum. Therefore, the subject of home economics needs to reflect contents regarding family meals positively in curriculum and textbooks, develop a family meal program applicable to real life, and realize education for family love and character.

        고지방식이와 STZ 유도 제2형 당뇨 마우스에서 새싹의 항당뇨 효과

        본 연구에서는 고지방식이와 streptozotocin으로 유도된 제2형 당뇨 마우스에서 새싹추출물의 항당뇨 효과를 살펴보았다. 제2형 당뇨 유도 후 4주 동안의 체중 변화를 관찰한 결과 새싹추출물군과 메트포민군에서 유의한 체중 감소 변화가 나타났으며, 식이섭취량에 따른 변화는 모든 실험군 간의 차이가 없었다. 공복혈당은 고지방식이군의 경우 실험종료일까지 지속적으로 상승하였고, 이와 대조적으로 새싹추출물과 메트포민군의 경우 실험 2주째부터 감소하여 실험 종료 4주째에서는 고지방식이군보다 유의적으로 감소하였다. 경구 내당능 검사는 포도당 섭취 후 60분, 90분, 120분에서 새싹추출물과 메트포민군이 고지방식이군보다 유의적으로 감소하였으며, 인슐린 내성 검사는 120분에서 새싹추출물과 메트포민군이 고지방식이군보다 유의성 있게 감소하였다. 혈중 지질 농도 변화에서 총콜레스테롤, 중성지방 그리고 LDL 콜레스테롤 농도는 고지방식이군에 비해 새싹추출물과 메트포민군에서 유의적으로 감소하였고, HDL 콜레스테롤 농도는 고지방식이군에 비해 새싹추출물과 메트포민군에서 증가하였다. 간독성의 지표인 glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase와 glutamate pyruvate transaminase 효소 활성도는 메트포민투여군과 고지방식이군을 제외한 실험군들 간에 유의성이 나타나지 않았다. 혈중 인슐린과 렙틴 농도는 고지방식이군에 비해 새싹추출물과 메트포민군에서 유의적으로 감소하였다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 새싹추출물은 제2형 당뇨 마우스에서 체중을 감소시키고 혈중지질 대사 이상을 조절하면서 인슐린 저항성을 감소시켜 혈당을 개선하므로 항당뇨 효과가 있는 우수한 식품 소재로서의 개발 가능성을 시사하고 있다. Sprout vegetables containing various types of polyphenols and flavonoids, are known to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, cholesterol-lowering, and anti-obesity activities. However, there have been few reports on the anti-diabetic efficacy of sprout vegetables. Here, we investigated the anti-diabetic effects of sprout extract obtained from buckwheat, beet, rape, broccoli, kohlrabi, red young radish, and dachai, in high fat diet (HFD) and streptozotocin (STZ)-induced type Ⅱ diabetes mellitus mice. The mice were fed a HFD (60% calories as fat) for 8 weeks prior to intraperitoneal injection with STZ (75 mg/kg). The diabetic mice were divided into four groups: standard diet (STD, 10% calories fat), HFD, HFD with sprout extract (SPE) and HFD with metformin (MET). After 4 weeks, body weight gain was much lower in both SPE and MET groups than in HFD group. In contrast, there was no difference experiment groups regarding food intake ratio. The level of fasting blood glucose was significantly lower in the SPE and MET groups compared to the HFD group. Oral glucose tolerance and insulin tolerance in the SPE and MET groups were significantly ameliorated in comparison to the HFD group. The concentrations of serum total cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL cholesterol in the SPE and MET groups were remarkably reduced in comparison to the HFD group, and HDL cholesterol concentration was higher in the SPE and MET groups than in the HFD group. Glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase and glutamate pyruvate transaminase levels were between SPE and HFD groups. The serum insulin and leptin concentrations were significantly reduced in both the SPE and MET groups compared to the HFD group. Therefore, these results indicate that sprout extract could improve insulin resistance and attenuate blood glucose level in HFD/STZ-induced type Ⅱ diabetes mellitus mice. We conclude that this study may provide positive insights into sprout extract as a functional food ingredient for treatment of type Ⅱ diabetes mellitus.

      • High-temperature GC-MS-based serum cholesterol signatures may reveal sex differences in vasospastic angina

        <P>Alterations of cholesterol metabolism are responsible for vasospastic angina and atherosclerosis. To comprehensively evaluate cholesterol metabolism, 18 sterols, including cholesterol, 6 cholesteryl esters (CEs), 3 cholesterol precursors, and 8 hydroxycholesterols (OHCs), were simultaneously analyzed using hybrid solid-phase extraction (SPE) purification coupled to high-temperature gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HTGC-MS). Methanol-based hybrid SPE increased the selective extraction, and HTGC resulted in a good chromatographic resolution for the separation of lipophilic compounds. The limits of quantification of cholesterol and CEs ranged from 0.2 to 10.0 μg/ml, while OHCs and cholesterol precursors ranged from 0.01 to 0.10 μg/ml. Linearity as the correlation coefficient was higher than 0.99 with the exception of cholesteryl laurate, myristate, oleate, and linoleate (<I>r</I><SUP>2</SUP> > 0.98). The precision (% coefficient of variation) and accuracy (% bias) ranged from 1.1 to 9.8% and from 75.9 to 125.1%, respectively. The overall recoveries of CEs ranged from 26.1 to 64.0%, and the recoveries of other sterols ranged from 83.8 to 129.3%. The cholesterol signatures showed sex differences in patients with vasospastic angina and may associate with 24-reductases. This technique can be useful for making clinical diagnoses and for an increased understanding of the pathophysiology of vasospastic angina.</P>
