IN-PILE PERFORMANCE OF HANA CLADDING TESTED IN HALDEN REACTOR

An in-pile performance test of HANA claddings was conducted at up to 67 GWD/MTU in the Halden research reactor in Norway over a 6.5 year period. Four types of HANA claddings (HANA-3, HANA-4, HANA-5, and HANA-6) and a reference Zircaloy-4 cladding were used for the in-pile test. The evaluation parameters of the HANA claddings were the corrosion behavior, dimensional changes, hydrogen uptake, and tensile strength after the claddings were tested under the simulated operation conditions of a Korean commercial reactor. The oxide thickness ranged from 15 to 37 mm at a high flux region in the test rods, and all HANA claddings showed corrosion resistance superior to the Zircaloy-4 cladding. The creep-down rate of all HANA claddings was lower than that of the Zircaloy-4 cladding. In addition, the hydrogen content of the HANA claddings ranged from 54 to 96 wppm at the high heat flux region of the test rods, whereas the hydrogen content of the Zircaloy-4 cladding was 119 wppm. The tensile strength of the HANA and Zircaloy-4 claddings was similarly increased when compared to the un-irradiated claddings owing to the radiation-induced hardening.
Bio-gas production by co-fermentation from the brown algae, Laminaria japonica

In this study, the optimization of bio-gas produced from Laminaria japonica through co-fermentation using hydrolysis and bio-gas production microorganisms was investigated. Bio-gas production was increased by using a mixed culture with Clostridium butyricum and Erwinia tasmaniensis, and the total hydrogen and methane levels were 327.47% and 354.99% higher, respectively. When lower oxygen contents were used in the flask, the bio-gas production yield increased. The optimual E/C ratio was determined to be 1/1, and the hydrogen and methane gas production levels under these conditions were 356.03 mL/L and 2243.59 mL/L, respectively.

The Asian Society of Cardiovascular Imaging-Practical Tutorial (ASCI-PT) is an instructional initiative of the ASCI School designed to enhance educational standards. In 2021, the ASCI-PT was convened with the goal of formulating a consensus statement on the assessment of coronary stenosis and coronary plaque using coronary CT angiography (CCTA). Nineteen experts from four countries conducted thorough reviews of current guidelines and deliberated on eight key issues to refine the process and improve the clarity of reporting CCTA findings. The experts engaged in both online and on-site sessions to establish a unified agreement. This document presents a summary of the ASCI-PT 2021 deliberations and offers a comprehensive consensus statement on the evaluation of coronary stenosis and coronary plaque in CCTA.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of the direction of online word-of-mouth information on usefulness of information and purchase intention. The survey was given to 20's∼ 30's consumers in Jeju, who are expected to use Internet frequently and easily. These people are also expected to be more familiar with e-commerce. In this study, 2x2 factorial design method was used. So, Four different kinds of survey was given in random. To investigate hypothesis, SPSS 18 for window is used. Our research suggests that when purchasing a product(high involvement and low involvement), which information is more useful.
Relationship of serum lymphocyte with outcomes in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Background: The role of lymphocyte in the patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of the serum lymphocyte on several clinical parameters, such as lung function, exercise capacity, QOL, exacerbation and mortality in a Korean COPD cohort by repeated and simultaneous measurement of the serum lymphocyte and these clinical parameters. Methods: The study population comprised 451 patients with COPD from the KOLD cohort. Serum lymphocyte percentage (%) were measured every year along with various clinical parameters such as lung function, 6-min walking (6MW) distance, quality of life (CAT and SGRQ score), exacerbations and survival. Serum lymphocyte percentage less than 20% is considered as low lymphocyte. Follow-up data up to 9 years was used for analysis. Results: Among the 451 patients, 409 (90.7%) and 42 (9.3%) were the normal lymphocyte group and low lymphocyte groups at the time of enrollment, respectively. Clustered analysis showed that low lymphocyte group showed lower post-bronchodilator FEV1 (estimated mean=-5.70 % predicted; P=0.001), lower FVC (estimated mean=-5.63 % predicted; P=0.005), shorter 6MW distance (estimated mean=-41.31m; P<0.001), higher CAT score (estimated mean=2.62; P=0.013), and higher SGRQ score (estimated mean=10.10; P<0.001). However, serum lymphocyte % was not associated with frequent acute exacerbation and mortality. Conclusions: Patients with low serum lymphocyte showed low pulmonary function, low 6MW distance, and worse quality of life. Lymphocyte may be related with various conditions in COPD.
