The electrical and internal frictional characteristics of the polyester film which Sun-Kyung Chemical Corporation made in Korea and the Lumirror film which Panac Corporation made in Japan are studied for the domestic production of polyethylene terephthalate(PET). And, the morphologys of two kind of films are investigated. It has been found that the dielectric constant tends to decrease as the orientational polarization starts around 14[kHz], and the dielecteic constant of polyester film is lower than the Lumirror film. And it has been found that the dispersion of frequency by the loss peak by the orientational polarization was achieved at around 14[kHz]. And it has been also found that there is the temperatural characteristics that βpeak is a achieved at 100[℃]-120[℃]. And, the dielectric loss and the change of temperature in polyester film is generally bigger than that in the Lumirror film. And also. the internal frictional loss αpeak corresponding to the dielectric loss αpeak is achieved at 95[℃], the bend of the shear modulus curve and the frequency curve.

To measure temperature in microwave heating condition by thermocouple or thermistor is limited. In order to overcome this problem kinetics of ascorbic acid destruction was introduced. Activation energy for destruction of ascorbic acid was obtained under conventional heating condition. Arrehnius equation was used for prediction of rate constant under microwave vacuum heating condition. Then prediction of temperature could be obtained by using kinetic of ascorbic acid destruction that is calulated by the predicted rate constant.

Human lipocortin-I (LCI) is a calcium ion-dependent and phospholipid-binding protein which exhibits an anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting phospholipase A₂ activity. In this study, the LCI gene containing its own terminator region was joined to GAL10 promoter-ppL (prepro-leader sequence of mating factor a). An ATG start codon of LCI gene was placed at downstream with KR endoprotease recognition site (Lys-Arg) of ppL. Recombinant S. cerevisiae harboring the LCI expression/secretion vector, pYGLPT5, was aerobically grown on a liquid YPDG medium at 30℃ for 72hrs. The whole cell and culture supernatant were separated after centrifugation, and the expressed LCI was analyzed by SDS-PAGE and western blotting methods. A majority fraction of the expressed LCI was found to be accumulated in the intracellular fraction, resulting in very low secretion efficiency of about 7.4%. About 500mg/ℓof LCI was extracellularly produced by the fed-batch culture employing the controlled-feeding of glucose and galactose. The secreted LCI was purified by ultrafiltration and hydroxylapatite column chromatography, and a purity of more than 99% was obtained.

The parasitic copepod. Caligus chanos parasitized on labridae fish around MunSum. Cheju Island, have been basically studied form Sep.. 1996 to Aug.. 1997. Parasitic pattern and water temperatures have a close relationship. which is high in June and low form Feb. to Apr.. Fishes of main hosts were Pseudolabrus japonicus and Pteragogus Ragellifer. Parasitic copepods prefer the body and tail of the host to the head, and prefer adult host to juveniles or older one.

A method of calculating the natural frequency corresponding to the first mode of vibration of beams and tower structures, with irregular cross-sections and with arbitrary boundary conditions was developed and reported by D. H. Kim in 1974. IN this paper, hte result of application of this method to the laminated plates with axial forces and with attached point mass/masses is presented. Both N? and N? forces are considered. The solution for the laminated plates with arbitrary boundary conditions and irregular section can be obtained by simply obtaining the deflection influence coefficients by any method. The effect of neglecting the mass of the plates on the natural frequency, as the ratio of the point mass/masses to the plate mass increases, is thoroughly studied. The influence of N? and N? is also carefully investigated.

2-[(4-Cyanophenyl)amino]-3-chloro-1, 4-naphthalenedione (NQ-Y15) was asssayed for its genotoxic potential by using Salmonella typhimurium reversion assay and in vitro chromosome aberration test on Chinese hamster lung cells. In the Ames test, NQ-Y15 induced his+revertants of Salmonella typhimurium TA 98 and TA 1537, reaching levels twice the negative control values. But, NQ-Y15 induced only his+revertants of Salmonella typhimurium TA 1537 more than twice the control values under the condition with metabolic activation system. In the cytogenetic test on chinese hamster lung cells. NQ-Y15 showed significant chromosomal aberrations, but the incidence was significantly reduced in the presence of metabolic activation.

컴퓨터의 하드웨어 발전은 개인용 컴퓨터를 널리 보급시키고, 통신 네트워크의 급속한 성능 향상을 가져와, 예전에 고가의 장비로만 병렬처리가 가능하던 컴퓨팅 방법을 워크스테이션이나 PC수준에서도 병렬처리가 가능한 분산 시스템들이 개발되고 있다 이들 중 최근의 웹환경과 멀티미디어 처리를 필요로 하는 요구가 많아짐에 따라서, 클러스터링 기법을 이용하여 PC 기반의 분산시스템에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 PC들을LAN환경하에 연결하여 MPI를 활용한 클러스터 시스템을 구성하였다. 이 시스템에서 벤치마크 프로그램을 수행하여, 시스템의 성능에 관련된 파라미터들을 분석하였다. PC용 프로세서 성능의 획기적인 발전으로 인하여, 아직 통신장치의 속도가 따라 가지 못하고 있어 이들이 병목현상을 보이고 있으나 점차 개선되고 있는 시점에서 PC 기반의 클러스터 시스템 활용성을 파악하였다. Many distributed systems organized with workstations or personal computers are developed according to the progress of personal computers and the improvement of computer network devices. We could do parallel processing of complex problems using these systems at a low cost. Recently, PC based distributed systems using clustering method are intensively studied to support web environment and multimedia handling. We made a cluster system consisted of 4 PCs which are communicating via LAN. We solved problems using MPI (Message Passing Interface) with this system and ran a benchmark program. We analyzed the parameters about system performance. As a result, communication speed in the computer network is yet bottleneck of cluster system, but it will be shortly overcome as the progress of hardware.
