In order to asses that the hepatic arterial blood alone can maintain the function of the heterotopic auxiliary liver graft in rats, guanine aminohydrolase (GDA) GPT, and GOT activities as well as nucleic acids were, analyzed in the graft. Isogenie and allogeneic liver transplantation were performed on Lewis and Sprague-Dawley rats respectively, weighing 250 to 300 gm by the suture technique of Lee's original method, but only arterial blood flow was introduced to the graft and the bile duct was implanted into the duodenum. All'hepatic isografts in these experiments were removed 1, 4, 5, 6,10, and 13 (days subsequent to the surgical ,procedure for biochemical studies, and for histo?pathological studies-in the grafts allogeneic liver transplant rats were also sacrificed for periods up to 14 days. The following results were obtained. I .Biochemical studies 1), DNA. contents were decreased, with slight increases on the 5th postoperative day. 2) RNA contents showed also decreases, except slight increases on the 5th postoperative day. 3) GDA activities were also decreased, maximally oil the 5th postoperative day, but progressive increases were evident on the 13th postoperative day. 4) ,GPT & GOT activities showed marked decreases. Histopaaholoical studies: n observation period the graft shod-ed to slight increase on the DLIi postopu ative day 2), Some of the grafts revealed findings of rejection, outflow blurb, in flamma Lion and/or infection, or combined features of them. It is concluded that the. hepatic arterial blood can maintain minimal liver fu?nction, but have no apparant regeneration,power, in the isogeneic liver graft. The histopathological study in the allogenic liver graft discloses the findings, of rejection, outflow,block, inflammation, ischemia and combined features of them.

A case of neurilemmona of the neck was encountered at Department of General Surgery, Capital Armed Forces General Hospital Annex, recently. The patient had only huge mass on left side of the neck, which was completely cured by extirpation only. The mass was located at upper edge of the left brachial plexus. There is no report of a case yet in domestic literatures.
High-Purity Ni Electroless Plating on Screen-Printed Anodized Al Substrates

By using an electroless plating process with a Ni source solution including dimethylamine borane (DMAB) at pH 6.5 and 65 C, we obtained a higher purity Ni film (< 1 at.% boron) without damage to the anodized Al substrate. With increasing plating time, the thickness of the film increased gradually, although the average deposition rate of the Ni films decreased steadily. We can infer that the abrupt decrease in sheet resistance (Rs) at the interface region is due to the change in the boron concentration caused by surface reactions, and the gradual decrease in Rs in the bulk region is due mainly to the effect of the saturation of boron’s concentration on the thickness. From a boron-distribution viewpoint, this result indicates that the B concentration in the Ni film increases gradually with increasing plating time for plating times 60 s as a kind of initial stage (that is, interface region), and then saturates uniformly for plating times 300 s as a kind of bulk region. On the other hand, from an electronic structure viewpoint, this result implies that Ni gains 3d electrons with respect to elemental Ni. The increase in the number of electrons gained by the Ni 3d states may result in an enhancement of the electrical conductivity.
