AA6101-T6 and AA1350 aluminum alloys have wide-spread applications in electrical industries, especially in bus bar conductors. Hence, joining of these two alloys is inevitable. Main invention of friction stir welding is joining lightweight structures. We investigated the impact of number of passes and changes in location of tool from retreating side to advancing side on the welding properties of AA6101-T6 and AA1350 alloys. For analyzing the welding properties, tensile, bending, wear, micro hardness and microstructural tests were carried out. We found that double pass and offset distance in advancing side exhibits better welding properties, whereas single pass and offset distance in retreating side exhibit poor welding properties. From the analysis of variance (ANOVA), we also determined that offset distance is the most influencing welding parameter than the number of passes.

Despite clinical advances in anticancer therapy, there is still a need for novel anticancer metabolites, with higher efficacy and lesser side effects. Oroxylum indicum (L.) Vent. is a small tree of the Bignoniaceae family which is well known for its food and medicinal properties. In present study, the chemopreventive properties of O. indicum hot and cold non-polar extracts (petroleum ether and chloroform) were investigated with MDA-MB-231 (cancer cells) and WRL-68 (non-tumor cells) by XTT assay. All the extracts, and particularly the petroleum ether hot extract (PHO), exhibited significantly (P<0.05) higher cytotoxicity in MDA-MB-231 when compared to WRL-68 cells. PHO was then tested for apoptosis induction in estrogen receptor (ER)-negative (MDA-MB-231) and ER-positive (MCF-7) breast cancer cells by cellular DNA fragmentation ELISA, where it proved more efficient in the MDA-MB-231 cells. Further, when PHO was tested for anti-metastatic potential in a cell migration inhibition assay, it exhibited beneficial effects. Thus non-polar extracts of O. indicum (especially PHO) can effectively target ER-negative breast cancer cells to induce apoptosis, without harming normal cells by cancer-specific cytotoxicity. Hence, it could be considered as an extract with candidate precursors to possibly harness or alleviate ER-negative breast cancer progression even in advanced stages of malignancy.

Plants are an abundant source of medicinal compounds, some of which are useful in combating free radical-1002 (flavonoid-poor fraction) of Hippophae rhamnoideswere screened on the basis of their reducing power in the aqueousphase. REC-1001 was selected for further study, since it exhibited 27.38 times higher antioxidant activity than REC-1002.REC-1001 also showed significant (P. .05) membrane protection potential at 50 .g/mL, which was attributed to its abilityto scavenge peroxyl radicals (64.82. 1.25% scavenging within 1,440 min). A significant (P. .05) difference of 67.02% infree radical scavenging activity at 1,000 ng/mL between REC-1001 and vitamin E demonstrated the extract fraction’s worthc-tion. Further, REC-1001 was found to be nontoxic up to 200 mg/kg of body weight. This research suggests that the REC-1001 fraction of H. rhamnoidesextract is a safe and effective antioxidant nutraceutical product.
Design Analysis of Amended PIFA with Ferrite Sheet Attachment for SAR Reduction in Human Head

The public's growing awareness of the negative impacts of high-volume temperature fluctuations has led to a marked rise in the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR). In existing techniques, the SAR value is high and more expensive. To overcome this issue, an Amended Planar Inverted F-antenna (PIFA) with Ferrite Sheet Attachment for SAR Reduction in Human Head has been introduced to reduce SAR value. The antenna receives power from the grounded end and Simulated Magnetic Rods (SMR) are utilized in the antenna to lower SAR values. The PIFA and SMR face major difficulties due to their low reliability and bandwidth. Hence, Radiating Blotch is implemented within the antenna to increase bandwidth and dependability. The SAR reduction is increased and various parameters are produced when the header model is simulated using ANSYS HFSS. Overall, the performance with and without a ferrite sheet comparing the analysis for SAR reduction with various parameters.

Backgrounds/Aims: Hemangiomas are the most common benign liver lesions; however, they are usually asymptomatic and seldom require surgery. Enucleation and resection are the most commonly performed surgical procedures for symptomatic lesions. This study aims to compare the outcomes of these two surgical techniques. Methods: A retrospective analysis of symptomatic hepatic hemangiomas (HH) operated upon between 2000 and 2021. Patients were categorized into the enucleation and resection groups. Demographic profile, intraoperative bleeding, and morbidity (Clavien-Dindo Grade) were compared. Independent t-test and chi-square tests were used for continuous and categorical variables respectively. p-value of < 0.05 was considered significant. Results: Sixteen symptomatic HH patients aged 30 to 66 years underwent surgery (enucleation = 8, resection = 8) and majority were females (n = 10 [62.5%]). Fifteen patients presented with abdominal pain, and one patient had an interval increase in the size of the lesion from 9 to 12 cm. The size of hemangiomas varied from 6 to 23 cm. The median blood loss (enucleation: 350 vs. resection: 600 mL), operative time (enucleation: 5.8 vs. resection: 7.5 hours), and postoperative hospital stay (enucleation: 6.5 vs. resection: 11 days) were greater in the resection group (statistically insignificant). In the resection group, morbidity was significantly higher (62.6% vs. 12.5%, p = 0.05), including one mortality. All patients remained asymptomatic during the follow-up. Conclusions: Enucleation was simpler with less morbidity as compared to resection in our series. However, considering the small number of patients, further studies are needed with comparable groups to confirm the superiority of enucleation over resection.
A Control Policy for a Single Sever Queue

This paper deals with Random Idle Policy for a single server queue. If the system is in operation state, server will serve the units as long as there is any unit in the system and server will go to idle state for a random period as the system become empty. Two systems are studied as follows (ⅰ) when the server does not wait on return to empty queue and goes to idle state again of the same distribution random period and (ⅱ) when the server waits for an arrival on return to empty queue. For the first system idle period is taken exponentially distributed and for the second, it is taken with p.d.f. D(χ). Applying linear cost structure, the optimal value of the mean duration of idle period has been obtained. At the end, a comparison is made between these systems.

In the present study, the lactate dehydrogenase-deficient (ldhA<SUP>-</SUP>) recombinant Klebsiella pneumoniae overexpressing an ALDH (KGSADH) was developed and the co-production of 3-HP and PDO from glycerol by this recombinant under resting cell conditions was examined. The new recombinant did not produce any appreciable lactate, which seriously inhibits the production of 3-HP and PDO. The final titers of 3-HP and PDO by the ldhA<SUP>-</SUP> recombinant strain at 60h were 252.2mM and 308.7mM, respectively, which were improved by approximately 30% and 50%, respectively, compared to those by the counterpart recombinant strain, which was the wild type for ldhA. In addition, after deleting ldhA, the cumulative yield on glycerol and specific production rate of these two metabolites (3-HP and PDO) were enhanced by 41.4% and 52%, respectively.

Sorghum is a major staple crop and vital for the marginal farmers in Asian and African countries. Landraces or germplasm lines adapted to biotic and abiotic stresses are the prime source of adaptive traits in the crop breeding programs. In order to assess the genetic variability, 141 exotic germplasm lines and 36 popular varieties were evaluated for eight agro-morphological traits. Wide range of values were observed for grain yield (6.6-124.4 g/plant), seed index (1.5-7.1 g/100 seeds), panicle length (8-44 cm) and panicle width (7.25 cm). High genotypic and phenotypic coefficient of variation was observed for grain yield per plant. The values of broad sense heritability in the sorghum core population ranged from 0.75 to 0.99. Seed weight, days to flowering, panicle width and leaf area were significantly correlated with grain yield (P ≤ 0.01). Seed weight was positively correlated with panicle width (correlation coefficient 0.31), while negatively correlated with panicle length (correlation coefficient -0.15). Cluster analysis resolved all the genotypes into four major clusters. Among germplasm lines, TSG-313 had high seed weight of 7.05 g/100 seeds, while TSG-325 had highest grain yield of 124.4 g/plant as against control variety. Germplasm lines with high heritability scores would help us to utilise them in recombination breeding.
An Explainable Deep Learning Approach for Oral Cancer Detection

With a high death rate, oral cancer is a major worldwide health problem, particularly in low- and middle-income nations. Timely detection and diagnosis are crucial for efective prevention and treatment. To address this challenge, there is a growing need for automated detection systems to aid healthcare professionals. Regular dental examinations play a vital role in early detection. Transfer learning, which leverages knowledge from related domains, can enhance performance in target categories. This study presents a unique approach to the early detection and diagnosis of oral cancer that makes use of the exceptional sensory capabilities of the mouth. Deep neural networks, particularly those based on automated systems, are employed to identify intricate patterns associated with the disease. By combining various transfer learning approaches and conducting comparative analyses, an optimal learning rate is achieved. The categorization analysis of the reference results is presented in detail. Our preliminary fndings demonstrate that deep learning efectively addresses this challenging problem, with the Inception-V3 algorithm exhibiting superior accuracy compared to other algorithms.
