Fabrication of Aligned PI/GO Nanofibers for Battery Separators

        Qiong Tian,Qiuhong Liu,Kedong Song,Yufan Mei,Jinfeng Peng,Jinfeng Peng,Ji Zhou,Yanhuai Ding 한국섬유공학회 2021 Fibers and polymers Vol.22 No.1

Highly aligned polyimide/graphene oxide (PI/GO) nanofibers were fabricated by using the electrospinning method. As a separator for Li-ion batteries, the PI/GO nanofibers show excellent thermal stability, good wettability toward organicliquid electrolytes and superior electrochemical performance compared to raw PI and commercial battery separators. TheGO nanosheets not only greatly enhance the mechanical strength of the PI matrix, but also increase the resistance to Lidendrites.

Multi-objective Optimization of a Hydrogen-Battery Hybrid Storage System for Offshore Wind Farm Using MOPSO

        Tian Tian,Ma Zetao,Cui Qiong,Shu Jie,Tan Lei,Wang Hao 대한전기학회 2023 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.18 No.6

Recently, offshore wind farms (OWFs) are gaining more and more attention for its high efficiency and yearly energy production capacity. However, the power generated by OWFs has the drawbacks of intermittence and fluctuation, leading to the deterioration of electricity grid stability and wind curtailment. Energy storage is one of the most important solutions to smooth the wind power and capture its surplus. In this paper, we provide a multi-objective optimization approach that combines multi-objective particle swarm optimization and rule-based energy management strategy for an on-gird offshore wind-hydrogen-battery system to simultaneously address the economic (Eco), the qualified rate of smoothing offshore wind power fluctuations (QRS), and the rate of offshore wind power curtailment (ROC). Results revealed that ROC and Eco, QRS and Eco are negatively correlated, but ROC and QRS are positively correlated. The hybrid storage system is more conducive to improve QRS and reduce ROC. Comparing with other three systems, the improvement range for ROC is between 13.6 and 46% when QRS is 100%. In addition, battery storage improves QRS by 2.6%, hydrogen storage deteriorates Eco by 86.8% and improve ROC by 38.5%, the change of ROC and QRS brings by transmission project are close to 100% and 4.4%.

Functionalization Modification of the Fischer-Tropsch Wax to Improve the Mechanical and Crystallization Properties of the Recycled Polypropylene/Attapulgite Composites

        Tian-Jiao Zhao,Fu-Hua Lin,Shuang-Dan Mao,Ya-Peng Dong,Jia-Le Zhao,Wen-Ju Cui,Shu-Hui Wang,Ding-Yi Ning,Jing-Qiong Lu,Bo Wang 한국고분자학회 2024 폴리머 Vol.48 No.3

The attapulgite (ATP) with unique one-dimensional rod-like structure was used to improve the mechanical and crystallization properties of the recycled polypropylene (rPP). In order to increase the compatibility of the polar ATP and the non-polar rPP, the maleic anhydride (MAH) was grafted onto the fischer-tropsch wax (FTW) then reacted with ATP to prepare FATP. The tensile, flexural and impact strength of the composites were maximized at the FATP content was 3 wt%, increased by 13.09, 17.56, and 101.92% compared with rPP, and reaching the level of the PP. Due to the improved compatibility, the mechanical properties of the rPP/FATP composites were increased compared with the rPP/ATP composites at the same addition. Moreover, the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis proved that the addition of the ATP or FATP improved the crystallization properties of the rPP. The crystallization temperature (Tp) of the rPP, rPP/3 wt% ATP, and rPP/3 wt% FATP was 126.31, 127.86, and 129.37 ℃, respectively. The non-isothermal and isothermal crystallization kinetic results showed that the crystallization rate was increased with the addition of the ATP and FATP. Meanwhile, by reason of the synergistic effect of compatibility improvement and internal lubrication, the crystallization rate of the rPP/FATP composites was faster than the rPP/ATP composites. However, the ATP or FATP added in rPP had no effect on the spherulites growth mode of the composites. Above all, the scanning electron micrographs (SEM) results provided intuitive evidence which the compatibility between FATP and rPP was greatly improved.

Expression and Imprinting Analysis of AK044800, a Transcript from the Dlk1-Dio3 Imprinted Gene Cluster during Mouse Embryogenesis

        Zhengbin Han,Qiong Wu,Qi Liu,Zhijun Huang,Wei Cui,Yijun Tian,Weili Yan 한국분자세포생물학회 2013 Molecules and cells Vol.35 No.4

Recent advances of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) has demonstrated that full development potential is closely related with the expression state of noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs) of the Dlk1-Dio3 imprinted gene cluster. However, few of them, especially the long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), have been characterized in detail. AK044800 is a transcript from the Dlk1-Dio3 imprinted region with little known information. This study reports original data on the expression pattern of AK044800 during embryogenesis. Expression analysis showed that AK044800 was specifically expressed in the brain at mid-gestation, E9.5 and E11.5. And at E15.5, its expression was mainly concentrated in the forebrain. In the late-gestation stage (E18.5), AK044800 expression was weaker in the brain and began to emerge in some other tissues during this period. Notably, the expression of AK044800 was biallelic in the brain, unlike other noncoding transcripts from this imprinted region. In addition, its expression was dependent on inbred mouse strains. This may be the first lncRNA that has been identified with a different expression between inbred mouse strains. This study may provide useful clues for further investigations of expression regulation and func-tions of lncRNAs of the Dlk1-Dio3 imprinted region.

Identification of Mouse MARVELD1 as a Microtu-bule Associated Protein that Inhibits Cell Cycle Progression and Migration

        Fanli Zeng,Yanyan Tian,Shuliang Shi,Qiong Wu,Shanshan Liu,Hongxia Zheng,Lei Yue,Yu Li 한국분자세포생물학회 2011 Molecules and cells Vol.31 No.3

MARVEL domain-containing 1 (MARVELD1) is a newly identified nuclear protein; however its function has not been clear until now. Here, we report that mouse MARVELD1(mMARVELD1), which is highly conserved between mice and humans, exhibits cell cycle-dependent cellular localization. In NIH3T3 cells, MARVELD1 was observed in the nucleus and at the perinuclear region during interphase, but was localized at the mitotic spindle and midbody at metaphase, and a significant fraction of mMARVELD1translocated to the plasma membrane during anaphase. In addition, treatment of cells with colchicine, a microtubuledepolymerizing agent, resulted in translocation of mMARVELD1to the plasma membrane, and association of mMARVELD1 and α-tubulin was confirmed by co-immunoprecipitation. Finally, overexpression of mMARVELD1 resulted in a remarkable inhibition of cell proliferation, G1-phase arrest, and reduced cell migration. These findings indicate that mMARVELD1 is a microtubule-associated protein that plays an important role in cell cycle progression and migration.

Preparation of activated carbon spheres and their electrochemical properties as supercapacitor electrode

        An Xin,Xing Guannan,Wang Jing,Tian Yanhong,Liu Yunfang,Wan Qiong 한국탄소학회 2021 Carbon Letters Vol.31 No.4

The carbon spheres (CSs) synthesized by an ultrasonic-spray pyrolysis method were activated for supercapacitor electrode. There are plenty of cracks on the surface of the activated carbon spheres (ACSs), which expend with increasing the activation temperature and activator dosage. The specifc capacitance of ACSs increases with the activation temperature and activator dosage and reach to maximal value at certain conditions. Importantly, the ACS sample activated at relatively low activation temperature (600 °C) and 7 of mass ratio of KOH to CSs has the highest specifc capacitance (about 209 F g−1 at 50 mA g−1 of current density) and indicates the excellent cycling stability after 1000 consecutive charge–discharge cycles. Furthermore, the graphene sheets could be found in the samples that were activated at 1000 °C. And the electrode prepared by the sample has the very low series resistance because of the excellent conductivity of the formed graphene sheets.

      • Roles of E-Cadherin (CDH1) Genetic Variations in Cancer Risk: a Meta-analysis

        Deng, Qi-Wen,He, Bang-Shun,Pan, Yu-Qin,Sun, Hui-Ling,Xu, Ye-Qiong,Gao, Tian-Yi,Li, Rui,Song, Guo-Qi,Wang, Shu-Kui Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.8

E-Cadherin (CDH1) genetic variations may be involved in invasion and metastasis of various cancers by altering gene transcriptional activity of epithelial cells. However, published studies on the association of CDH1 gene polymorphisms and cancer risk remain contradictory, owing to differences in living habits and genetic backgrounds. To derive a more better and comprehensive conclusion, the present meta-analysis was performed including 57 eligible studies of the association between polymorphisms of CDH1 gene promoter -160 C>A, -347 G>GA and 3'-UTR +54 C>T and cancer risk. Results showed that these three polymorphisms of CDH1 were significantly associated with cancer risk. For -160 C>A polymorphism, -160A allele carriers (CA and CA+AA) had an increased risk of cancer compared with the homozygotes (CC), and the similar result was discovered for the -160A allele in the overall analyses. In the subgroup analyses, obvious elevated risk was found with -160A allele carriers (AA, CA, CA+AA and A allele) for prostate cancer, while a decreased colorectal cancer risk was shown with the AA genotype. For the -347 G>GA polymorphism, the GAGA genotype was associated with increased cancer risk in the overall analysis with homozygous and recessive models. In addition, results of subgroup analysis indicated that the elevated risks were observed in colorectal cancer and Asian descendants. For +54 C>T polymorphism, a decreased risk of cancer was found in heterozygous, dominant and allele models. Moreover, +54T allele carriers (CT, CT+TT genotype and T allele) showed a potential protective factor in gastric cancer and Asian descendants.

KLF9 promotes autophagy and apoptosis in T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells by inhibiting AKT/mTOR signaling pathway

        Zhao Jie,He Shaolong,Xiang Chenhuan,Zhang Shaoli,Chen Xinyue,Lu Xinyi,Yao Qiong,Yang Liping,Ma Liangming,Tian Weiwei 대한독성 유전단백체 학회 2023 Molecular & cellular toxicology Vol.19 No.3

Background T -cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) is considered a malignant tumor with a high mortality rate. To combat this disease, exploring the mechanism of T-ALL progression is urgently needed. Krüppel-like factors (KLFs) are known as the transcription factors and mediate series of biological processes. KLF9 is a member of the KLF family which could serve as a tumor suppressor gene in most solid tumors. GEO Database analysis showed that KLF9 expression in normal T cells was higher than T-ALL cell lines and patients. However, the possible role of KLF9 in T-ALL progression is still unclear. Objective To uncover the possible eff ects of Krüppel-like transcription factor 9 (KLF9) on the progression of T-Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL). Results The expression of KLF9 was low in human T-ALL cells. KLF9 suppressed the viability of T-ALL cells. In addition, KLF9 stimulated the apoptosis as well as autophagy of T-ALL cells. Mechanically, KLF9 suppressed AKT/mTOR pathway in T-ALL cells. Conclusion KLF9 suppressed viability and promoted autophagy as well as apoptosis in T-ALL cells by inhibiting AKT/ mTOR pathway.
