이론적으로 유도된 코크스강도와 코크스화성의 수학적 관계식: S=S+k₁ ∂²S/∂((MF) ̄)²ΣF_i{((MF) ̄)-(MF_i)}²P_i에서 H=ΣF_i((MF) ̄-MF_i)²P_i라 두면, H의 값을 원료탄의 입도분포 조정에 의해 최소화함으로써 코크스강도를 향상시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 이 이론을 기초로 장입탄의 입도조정에 의한 새로운 코크스 강도향상 방법이 제안되었다. 실제로 H값을 줄이도록 입도조정된 장입탄으로부터 제조된 코크스의 강도시험을 통하여 제안된 방법의 타당성이 입증되었다. In order to improve the coke strength resulting from the coke manufacturing process of the bituminous coals, the particle size distribution and blending ratios of the various raw coals having different coking strengths were adjusted before charging the blended sample coals into cokes oven. The average strength, S ̄, of the sample cokes produced can be improved by adjusting the mixing ratio of the charging coal, Fi, and coarser fraction, Pi, retained on the 3 ㎜ sieve screen, as weil as the maximum fluidities, MFs, of the various raw coals blended in. The coke strength could be improved by maintaining the term, H=ΣF_i((MF) ̄-MF_i)²·P_i to the minimum value, as far as possible in practice.

목적: The Objective of this study is to evaluate the usefulness and safety of US-guided high-intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU) ablation of uterine myoma. 방법: 78 patients with symptomatic uterine myoma underwent US-guided HIFU ablation with Model JC Focused Ultrasound Tumor Therapeutic System, Chongqing Haifu (HIFU) Technology Co. between April 2013 and October 2013 in St. Peter`s Hospital, Seoul, Korea.The study group designed by 27 patients who were followed up for 6 months after treatment. We assessed the differences volume at baseline and 6 months after treatment. Volume of myomas was checked using contrast-enhanced T1-weighted image on MRI. Also we evaluated safety of HIFU by presence of complications. Myomas were ablated using HIFU with a power output of 410W. The treatment time was different according to size of uterine myoma and type of myoma from 325 sec to 2534 sec. Follow up MRI scan were done 6 months after treatment. 결과: Mean age age of patients was 40.11 +/- 6.22 (29-51) years. Location of myomas targeted were intramural type 23 cases, anterior 12 csaes, posterior 5 cases, lateral 3 cases, fundus 3 cases, submucosal type 3 cases, subserosal type 1 case. We divided 3 groups, below 100 cm3, 100-200 cm3, above 200 cm3 on volume of myoma at baseline(cm3). Mean volume of contrast-enhanced T1-weighted image on MRI was 225.55(35.81-834.43) cm3 before HIFU treatment and 84.64(9.19-343.90) cm3 6 months after HIFU treatment. Reduction rate was 62.47(%)t. No severe complications like bowel injury, bladder injury, infection was not observed. 결론: US-guided HIFU treatment can be a safe and useful to ablate uterine myoma.

해산 홍조식물인 참김의 녹색형(계통 : T-8)과 방사무늬김의 야생형(U-511)을 교잡양친으로 하여서 종간교잡 실험을 하였다. 정역교잡의 결과, 양친형의 F₁동형접합 형사상체에서 방출되어 발아한 각포자 발아체(F₁엽상체)는 양친형만을 나타내었다. 야생형의 F₁이형접합형사상체에서 방출되어 발아한 각포자 발아체(F₁엽상체)에는 색채형의 분리가 나타났으며, 발아체의 2~6 세포기에서 정교잡에서는 94.1%, 역교잡에서는 93.7%가 사멸하였다. 종간교잡에서 F₁엽상체가 사멸하는 것은 감수분열과정에서 이상이 일어난 결과라고 생각되어 진다. 따라서, 이 현상은 잡종붕괴에 해당하며, 잡종붕괴는 조포세대에서가 아니고 배우세대에서 일어난다. 또한, 잡종붕괴현상은 참김과 방사무늬김 간에 불완전한 생식적 격리기구가 존재하며, 이것은 김속식물에 있어서의 생물학적 종의 실태를 시사하고 있다.
Integrative Korean Medicine Treatment for Sacral Fracture: Two Clinical Cases

This study presents the cases of a 67-year-old female with an isolated left sacral fracture and a 69-year-old female with fractures in sacrum 1, 2, and the left pubic bone. Both patients exhibited marked improvement following integrative Korean medicine treatment, encompassing acupuncture, acupotomy, pharmacopuncture, herbal medicine, moxibustion, and cupping therapy. The treatment’s efficacy was assessed using the numerical rating scale (NRS) scores, range of motion (ROM) in the lumbar spine, and alterations in gait and walking distance. Case 1 demonstrated an enhanced ROM and achieved independent walking after 29 days of treatment. Case 2 improved in both ROM and NRS score and could walk independently after 49 days of treatment. Significantly, radiological images showed notable changes in both cases following treatments. The study indicates that integrative Korean medicine treatment could provide clinical advantages to individuals suffering from sacral fractures.

To assess potential risk of the benzimidazole fungicides, their cytotoxicities were evaluated. Activities of LDH(Lactic dehydrogenase) in the culture fluid of CHL(chinese hamster lung) fiberoblast cell treated with 4.0, 16.0 or 32.0 ㎍/mL of carbendazim for 24 hours were elevated 2.16, 2.94 and 2.64 folds compared to the control, respectively. DNA synthesis was inhibited by 45% at 2.0 ㎍/mL of carbendazim. Benzimidazole fungicides showed high toxicity to cell and mitochondria of CHL cell by Giemsa and MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazole-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay. IC?? by the Giemsa assay of thiophanate-methyl, benomyl, carbendazim and captafol were over 125, 1.2, 30.0 and 0.3 ㎍/mL, respectively. IC?? by the MTT assay of thiophanate-methyl, benomyl, carbendazim and captafol were over 125, 18.7, 20.4 and 2.6 ㎍/mL, respectively. Inhibitory concentration of cell median proliferation by SRB (sulforhodamin B) assay for thiophanate-methyl, carbendazim, benomyl, and captafol were 17.4, 5.3, 1.5 and 0.5 ㎍/mL, respectively. Accordingly, benzimidazole fungicides inhibited DNA synthesis, mitochondrial function, cell proliferation and induced cell necrosis.

Benzimidazole pesticide carbendazim that is effective against a wide range of fungal plant pathogens is a protective, eradicant, and systemic fungicide. For genetic toxicity evaluation of carbendazim on DNA, genes and chromosome were investigated with chromosome aberration, bacterial reverse mutation, micronucleus test in mouse born marrow and DNA damage assay by single cell microgel electrophoresis. Substitution and frameshift mutation were not induce at variable concentration of carbendazim on Ames test with or without rat liver microsomal activation. For the result of chromosome aberration test, numerical changes of chromosome were detected at the concentrations higher than 4.0 ㎍/㎖, but structural aberration was not induced. Positive control, Mitomycin-C and captafol made a structural aberration, but numerical change of chromosome did not appear. In the micronucleus test for mouse born marrow, carbendazim was negative, but was weak positive in DNA damage assay by single cell microgel electrophoresis because of increased DNA moving length of 20% to control.
