기존 연구에서 제안하는 선박운동표현법은 GPS정보기반의 제어를 위한 것으로, Auto-pilot을 위해서는 적합한 모델이나 예인선의 지원 및 사이드스러스트를 이용하여 접안위치로 이동시키기 위한 목적으로는 부적합하다. 이러한 문제를 극복하기 위해 본 연구에서는 Auto-pilot 개념을 벗어나 예인선의 도움으로 실제 접안이 수행되는 다소 국소적인 영역에서의 선박운동제어 문제에 대해 다루고 있다. 이 경우 항만을 벗어난 대양에서의 운전과는 달리, 선박운동제어성능을 떨어뜨리는 많은 요인들이 존재하기 때문에 보다 체계적인 모델링작업을 통한 명확한 시스템표현이 이루어져야 한다. 따라서 기 존의 모델링기법과 표현법에 의존하지 않고, 미리 설정된 접안목표지점을 기준으로 사이드스러스트에 의해 선박이 병진 운동할 경우를 고려하여, 사이드스러스트의 추진력과 선박운동특성의 관계를 수식화 하는 방법으로 모델링을 수행하였다. 이렇게 표현된 모델을 기반으로 계산과 시스템동정법으로 각각의 파라미터를 구하였다. 제어기 설계에 있어서 직접 계측할 수 없는 일부 상태정보는 관측기를 설계하여 추정하였으며, 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 설계한 제어시스템의 유효성을 검증하였다.
긴꼬리 분포의 광간섭 단층촬영 데이터세트에 대한 다중 레이블 이미지 분류

In recent years, retinal disorders have become a serious health concern. Retinal disorders develop slowly and without obvious signs. To avoid vision deterioration, early detection and treatment are critical. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive and non-contact medical imaging technique used to acquire informative and high-resolution image of retinal area and underlying layers. Disease signs are difficult to detect because OCT images have many areas which are not related to any disease. In this paper, we present a deep learning-based method to perform multi-label classification on a long-tailed OCT dataset. Our method first extracts the region of interest and then performs the classification task. We achieve 98% accuracy, 92% sensitivity, and 99% specificity on our private OCT dataset. Using the heatmap generated from trained convolutional neural network, our method is more robust and explainable than previous approaches because it focuses on areas that contain disease signs.

Hybrid dispute settlement mechanism is one of the characteristics of the UNCLOS. It is the combination of diplomatic measures and judicial proceedings. Among them, the ITLOS established in accordance with Annex VI, and two types of arbitral tribunal constituted in accordance with Annexes VII and VIII are means for the disputes settlement firstly regulated in the UNCLOS. Especially, according to Article 287, an arbitral tribunal constituted under Annex VII has default jurisdiction in case one or both parties to a dispute are not covered by a declaration in force, or the parties to a dispute have not accepted the same procedure for the settlement of the dispute. These means of dispute settlement have supplemented and enhanced the source of law for international dispute resolution more diversified. This paper clarifies some aspects of compulsory procedures entailing binding decisions under the UNCLOS, evaluates the applicability of these procedures to the case of Vietnam in the disputes settlement on interpretation or application of the UNCLOS raising among countries in the South China Sea.
Modeling of a controlled retransmission scheme for loss recovery in optical burst switching networks

Retransmission in optical burst switching networks is a solution to recover data loss by retransmitting the dropped burst. The ingress node temporarily stores a copy of the complete burst and sends it each time it receives a retransmission request from the core node. Some retransmission schemes have been suggested, but uncontrolled retransmission often increases the network load, consumes more bandwidth, and consequently, increases the probability of contention. Controlled retransmission is therefore essential. This paper proposes a new controlled retransmission scheme for loss recovery, where the available bandwidth of wavelength channels and the burst lifetime are referred to as network conditions to determine whether to transmit a dropped burst. A retrial queue-based analysis model is also constructed to validate the proposed retransmission scheme. The simulation and analysis results show that the controlled retransmission scheme is more efficient than the previously suggested schemes regarding byte loss probability, successful retransmission rate, and network throughput.
Broadband tunable plasmonic substrate using self-assembled gold–silver alloy nanoparticles

In the present work, a facile approach of Au–Ag alloy NPs fabrication is proposed for plasmonic inclusion applicative studies. These hybrid NPs were prepared by the sequential deposition of Ag, Au layers on a glass substrate via RF-sputtering followed by high-temperature annealing. Compositional and size controllability of the NPs was attained by changing the ratio of nominal thicknesses of the respective Au, and Ag layers during the deposition. LSPR red (blue) peak shift occurs with increasing layer thickness Au (Ag) signifying the peak sensitivity. The influence of geometrical, compositional, and background media for achieving LSPR-sensitivity is examined and validated by FDTD simulation studies. With the agreeable peak shift tendencies, the proposed study of broadband tunable LSPR-sensitivity is expected to provide a framework for a wide range of plasmonic applications.
Using Syntax and Shallow Semantic Analysis for Vietnamese Question Generation

This paper presents a method of using syntax and shallow semantic analysis for Vietnamese question generation (QG). Specifically, our proposed technique concentrates on investigating both the syntactic and shallow semantic structure of each sentence. The main goal of our method is to generate questions from a single sentence. These generated questions are known as factoid questions which require short, fact-based answers. In general, syntax-based analysis is one of the most popular approaches within the QG field, but it requires linguistic expert knowledge as well as a deep understanding of syntax rules in the Vietnamese language. It is thus considered a high-cost and inefficient solution due to the requirement of significant human effort to achieve qualified syntax rules. To deal with this problem, we collected the syntax rules in Vietnamese from a Vietnamese language textbook. Moreover, we also used different natural language processing (NLP) techniques to analyze Vietnamese shallow syntax and semantics for the QG task. These techniques include: sentence segmentation, word segmentation, part of speech, chunking, dependency parsing, and named entity recognition. We used human evaluation to assess the credibility of our model, which means we manually generated questions from the corpus, and then compared them with the generated questions. The empirical evidence demonstrates that our proposed technique has significant performance, in which the generated questions are very similar to those which are created by humans.
A dynamic foundation model for the analysis of plates on foundation to a moving oscillator

This paper proposes a new foundation model called “Dynamic foundation model” for the dynamic analysis of plates on foundation subjected to a moving oscillator. This model includes a linear elastic spring, shear layer, viscous damping and the special effects of mass density parameters of foundation during vibration. By using finite element method and the principle of dynamic balance, the governing equation of motion of the plate travelled by the oscillator is derived and solved by the Newmark‟s time integration procedure. The accuracy of the algorithm is verified by comparing the numerical results with the other numerical results in the literature. Also, the effects of mass and damping ratio of system components, stiffness of suspension system, velocity of moving oscillator, and dynamic foundation parameters on dynamic responses are investigated. A very important role of these factors will be shown in the dynamic behavior of the plate.
