Oronasal bleeding that continues despite oronasal packs or recurs after removal of the oronasal packs is referred to as intractable oronasal bleeding, which is refractory to conventional treatments. Severe craniofacial injury or tumor in the nasal or paranasal cavity may cause intractable oronasal bleeding. These intractable cases are subsequently treated with surgical ligation or endovascular embolization of the bleeding arteries. While endovascular embolization has several merits compared to surgical ligation, the procedure needs attention because severe complications such as visual disturbance or cerebral infarction can occur. Therefore, comprehensive understanding of the head and neck vascular anatomy is essential for a more effective and safer endovascular treatment of intractable oronasal bleeding.

SBW system have advantages of space and fuel efficiency because it is designed more simple than MDPS. But, The safety is accompanied because of simplification of the mechanical structure. So, Intensive evaluation of fault diagnosis and safety at the development phase is needed. This research introduce a steering reaction HILS for evaluation in various driving conditions. The reaction equipment have to added because there is no connection between Rack and pinion. Reaction force is generated by servo motor and the control value of reaction force is realized by Rack force model using CarSim and Matlab/simulink. The Rack force is estimated by longitudinal force and lateral force of tires. As a result we can obtain steering feeling similar to data of real vehicle adapted EPS.

Developed in this research is a control logic for the ARS(Active Roll Stabilization) system that uses rotary-type hydraulic stabilizer bars. The hydraulic driver component of the system was modeled and designed using AMESim and its simplified Simulink model that captures the systems nonlinear characteristics was also constructed for faster simulation. The control logic consists of: a feedforward controller that generates anti-roll moments in response to the lateral acceleration, and a feedback controller that forces the roll angle to track its target value. Estimators were also designed so that the controller takes as input estimated values of the lateral acceleration and the roll angle. The developed ARS control logic was first evaluated via simulation and later it was ported to a microcontroller for validation on a test vehicle. The results showed that the roll angle could be decreased to the targeted levels.

Objective : Thoracic ossification of the ligamentum flavum (OLF) is a relatively rare disease. Because of ambiguous clinical symptom, it is difficult for early diagnosis of OLF and subsequent treatment can be delayed or missed. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to comprehensively assess the prevalence and distribution of thoracic OLF by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and coexisting spinal disease in Korean patients with back pain or leg pain. Methods : The sample included 2134 Korean patients who underwent MRI evaluation for back pain. The prevalence and distribution of thoracic OLF were assessed using lumbar MRI with whole spine sagittal images. Additionally, we examined the presence of coexisting lumbar and cervical diseases. The presence of thoracic OLF as well as clinical parameters such as age, sex, and surgery were retrospectively reviewed. Results : The prevalence of thoracic OLF in total patients was 16.9% (360/2134). The prevalence tended to increase with aging and was higher in women than in men. The lower thoracic segment of T10-11 was the most frequently affected segment. Of the 360 patients with OLF, 31.9% had coexisting herniated thoracic discs at the same level. Approximately 74% of the patients with OLF had coexisting lumbar and cervical disease. Nine (2.5%) of 360 OLF patients underwent surgery for thoracic lesion. Conclusion : The prevalenceof thoracic OLF was relatively higher than those of previous reports. And coexisting lumbar and cervical disease were very frequent. Therefore, we should check coexisting spinal diseases and the exact diagnostic localization of ossification besides lumbar disease.

The passenger side air bags are installed inside the instrument panel and reduce the possible injuries of passenger when the car crashes occurred. The instrument panel is classified into a soft type and a hard type and the visible air bag doors are widely being used. However these doors have some of quality problems caused by using the different materials between the instrument panel and the air bag door. Therefore, the matching parts looks different and couldn't have consistent gaps and flushness. The invisible or integrated air bag door is developed to improve these problems especially to apply the soft instrument panel. The application of invisible hard instrument panel for passenger side air bag is much more difficult to compare the soft one from the point of technical view.
In the Korea market, HMC successfully developed the invisible hard instrument panel for passenger side air bag, and applied to the production car, TB and FC. These cars used the middle-mounted passenger side air bag, on the other side; the top-mounted passenger side air bag is required to satisfy the newly established regulation of passenger injury condition.
This study is to apply the invisible hard instrument panel for passenger side air bag and especially for top-mounted one.
