High entropy alloy thin films have been gained attention recently due to their exceptional properties like high corrosion resistance,unique mechanical and physical properties. In this research, DC magnetron sputtering was used to fabricate two kindsof high entropy alloys thin films of Ti–Zr–Pd–Cu and Ti–Zr–Pd–Cu–Bi at two working pressure 2 and 5 mTorr. Structural,thermal, and mechanical properties of the Ti–Zr–Pd–Cu and Ti–Zr–Pd–Cu–Bi thin films deposited at room temperature usingDC magnetron sputtering have been considered in this research. The microstructural analyses using X-ray diffractometer,scanning, and transmission electron microscopies show that the size of glassy clusters and the chemical composition of thinfilms can be controlled by adjusting the sputtering pressure. The high entropy alloy thin films deposited at high pressuredisplayed nano-clusters with an amorphous structure. The elemental distribution obtained using atom probe tomographyillustrated that Bi atoms were segregated along with the columnar interfaces. Furthermore, Bi addition to the Ti–Zr–Pd–Cuthin film led to increase in thermal stability and decrease in the characteristic enthalpy of the nanoglass thin films. The thinfilms’ mechanical properties were evaluated by nano-indentation. The results indicated that the Ti–Zr–Pd–Cu–Bi nanoglassthin film had higher strength, hardness, and elastic modulus than the Ti–Zr–Cu–Pd thin film. It was suggested that latticedistortion and nano columnar structure caused to increase in the mechanical properties of Ti–Zr–Pd–Cu–Bi thin film.

This article reviews several aspects of Japanese economic troubles today: lingering stagnation, financial vulnerabilities, weak corporate governance, fiscal dificits, aging population, policy measures, and political leadership. Then the paper looks back into three policy mistakes of the latter half of 1980s as a turning point. After a brief consideration of the Japanese-Asian development model, the paper studies some transmission channels of Japanese troubles to neighboring economies and examines regional financial cooperation and development strategy.
Pre-buckling deflection effects on stability of thin-walled beams with open sections

The paper investigates beam lateral buckling stability according to linear and non-linear models. Closed form solutions for single-symmetric cross sections are first derived according to a non-linear model considering flexural-torsional coupling and pre-buckling deformation effects. The closed form solutions are compared to a beam finite element developed in large torsion. Effects of pre-buckling deflection and gradient moment on beam stability are not well known in the literature. The strength of singly symmetric I-beams under gradient moments is particularly investigated. Beams with T and I cross-sections are considered in the study. It is concluded that pre-buckling deflections effects are important for I-section with large flanges and analytical solutions are possible. For beams with T-sections, lateral buckling resistance depends not only on pre-buckling deflection but also on cross section shape, load distribution and buckling modes. Effects of prebuckling deflections are important only when the largest flange is under compressive stresses and positive gradient moments. For negative gradient moments, all available solutions fail and overestimate the beam strength. Numerical solutions are more powerful. Other load cases are investigated as the stability of continuous beams. Under arbitrary loads, all available solutions fail, and recourse to finite element simulation is more efficient.
Batch Scheduling Problem with Multiple Due-dates Constraints

This paper describes the issue of batch scheduling.In food production, the lead-time from produc-tion to sale should be decreased becausefreshness of the product is important. Products are shipped at diverse times depending on a demand of sellers, because the types of sellers has become diversified such as super-markets, convenience stores and etc. production of quantity demanded must be completed by time to ship it then. The authors consider a problem with due-dates constraints and construct the algorithm to find the opti-mal schedule that satisfy the due-dates constraint, batch size constraint, inventory time constraint and mini-mize total flow time.
