여러 공공장소에서 표징으로서의 십자가는 과연 어느 범위까지 입지를 차지할 수 있는가에 대한 물음은 지난 수 년 동안 첨예한 논쟁을 불러왔다. 이 상징에 관한 여러 상이한 사례가 가시적으로 보도되었다는 사실이 놀랍기만 하다. 저자 L. 뫼들은 실천신학의 관점으로 접근한 자신의 논고를 통해 현대인의 경험세계에서 마주하게 되는 십자가 표징의 여러 가지 원인과 작용을 고찰하고 있다. 저자는 십자가를 바라보는 여러 측면을 기술하는 과정에서 전통적으로 지배적인 세 가지 십자가 묘사양식, 즉 고통 받는 인간의 십자가, 왕의 십자가, 그리고 성스러운 실제 유물에 해당하는 십자가의 의미를 해석한다. 이와 같은 신학적 시도는 모든 삶의 경험이 인정되고 십자가가 우리 인간에 대한 하느님의 무량한 자비로 선포될 때, 오늘날 십자가 표징이 여전히 그리스도교 전체를 위한 하나의 상징이 될 수 있다는 점을 시사한다. 십자가를 그리스도인들의 ‘브랜드’처럼 세속적 상징으로 퇴색시키지 않고, 오히려 십자가와 부활이라는 그리스도교의 핵심적인 선포를 위한 표징이며, 이를 통해 신앙의 도움과 삶의 보증을 위한 상징으로 강조하려는 노력이 그 배경에 자리한다. Wieweit das Kreuz als Zeichen in öffentlichen Räumen präsent sein darf, ist in den letzten Jahren heftig diskutiert worden. Erstaunlich waren manche Wortmeldungen, an denen sichtbar wurde, wie unterschiedlich dieses Symbol gesehen wird. In dieser Abhandlung reflektiert der Autor, L. Mödl aus dem Blickwinkel der Praktischen Theologie Gründe und Wirkungen des Kreuz-Zeichens im Erlebnisfeld heutiger Menschen. Er skizziert die Vielschichtigkeit der Kreuz-Wahrnehmung und deutet die drei in der Tradition dominanten Kreuz-Darstellungen, d.h. den Schmerzensmann, den König und das blanke Kreuz, um aufzuzeigen, dass das Kreuz-Zeichen auch heute noch zu einem Symbol für das Gesamte des Christentums werden kann, wenn alle Lebenserfahrungen zugelassen sind und das Kreuz als Ausdruck der unendlichen Zuwendung Gottes an uns Menschen verkündet wird. Dahinter steht das Bemühen, das Kreuz nicht als ‘Signet’ der Christen zum Allerwelts-Symbol verkommen zu lassen, sondern als Zeichen für die christliche Kernbotschaft von Kreuz und Auferstehung und damit als Symbol zur Glaubenshilfe und zur Stütze für das Leben zu betonen.

Recent developments in nanocrystalline and nanocomposite rare earth-transition metal magnets are reviewed and emphasis is placed on research work at IFW Dresden. Principal synthesis methods include high energy ball milling, melt spinning, mold casting and hydrogen assisted methods such as reactive milling and hydrogenation-disproportionation-desorption-recombination. These techniques are applied to NdFeB-, PrFeB- and SmCo-type systems with the aim to produce high remanence magnets with high coercivity. Concepts of maximizing the energy density in nanostructured magnets by either inducing a texture via anisotropic HDDR or hot deformation or enhancing the remanence via magnetic exchange coupling are evaluated. With respect to high temperature applications melt spun $Sm(Co_{0.74}Fe_{0.1}Cu_{0.12}Zr_{0.04})_{7.5}$ ribbons were prepared, which showed coercivities of up to 0.53 T at 50$0^{\circ}C$. Partially amorphous $Nd_{60}Fe_xCo_{30-x}Al_{10}(0{\leq}x{\leq}30)$ alloys were prepared by copper mold casting. The effect of transition metal content on the glass-forming ability and the magnetic properties was investigated. The $Nd_{60}Co_{30}Al_{10}$ alloy exhibits an amorphous structure shown by the corresponding diffraction pattern. A small substitution of Co by 2.5 at.% Fe results In the formation of Fe-rich crystallites embedded in the Nd-rich amorphous matrix. The Fe-rich crystallites show hard magnetic behaviour at room temperature with a coercivity value of about 0.4 T, relatively low saturation magnetization and a Curie temperature of 500 K.

Background: Loss of internal rotation stability is the major cause of pain after an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR). Many authors described measures to treat this problem to no avail. This is the first study evaluating the role of lateral release with double-bundle ACLR to prevent patellofemoral malalignment after ACLR. Methods: A total of 100 patients were included in this prospective study between January 2018 and December 2019. We compared single-bundle ACLR (group 1, n = 30), double-bundle ACLR (group 2, n = 30), and double-bundle ACLR with lateral release (group 3, n = 40). Clinical outcome was evaluated with the Kujala score while radiological outcome was evaluated using the tibial tubercle-trochlear groove (TTTG) distance in magnetic resonance imaging. The preoperative and postoperative values were compared. Results: At the final follow-up of 6–18 months, group 3 showed the lowest TTTG value (6.7 ± 4.69) compared to group 2 (9.1 ± 4.83) and group 1 (11.74 ± 1.76) (p = 0.03). The Kujala score was significantly improved in all groups: from 68.83 to 89.90 in group 1, from 70.02 to 91.23 in group 2, and from 69.71 to 95.05 in group 3 (p = 0.03). Group 3 showed the most superior improvement in the Kujala score (25.34) compare to group 1 (21.07) and group 3 (21.21) (p = 0.012). Conclusions: Concomitant lateral retinacular release significantly improved the Kujala score. It may serve as a valuable option to overcome patellofemoral pain syndrome in ACLR.
Determinants of Trust Formation in Korean New Product Alliances

We examine antecedents of trust formation in 47 vertical new product development alliances in the South Korean machine industry. Communication quality and perceived fairness were found significant contributors to trust formation. Contrary to the widespread perception, pre-existing social relationships were not found to be crucial for establishing trust with external alliance partners in Korea. Multiple explanations are offered for this unexpected finding. Instead, existing social relationships moderated the importance of fairness for trust formation. When conducting partnerships with Korean firms, managers should instead focus on quality communication and fair behavior when trust formation is the objective.
Thoracic Fetiform Teratoma: A Case Report of a Very Rare Entity in a Peruvian Hospital

Mature fetiform teratoma, or homunculus, is a term coined for a rare variant of teratoma with a prevalence of 0.01% of teratomas. There have been very few cases reported in the world, and its thoracic presentation is extremely unusual. We present the case of a 31-year-old female patient with a history of progressive chest pain in the left hemithorax, associated with dyspnea on moderate exertion and cough. Imaging studies revealed a large intrathoracic tumor visually compatible with a teratoma. Surgical resection by a clamshell approach was successful, and subsequent anatomopathological studies of the operative specimen concluded that the mass was a mature fetiform thoracic teratoma. The treatment of this entity is generally surgical and includes wide resection due to its large adhesive component to surrounding tissues. Thus, the cardiothoracic surgeon must know approaches that allow wide resection, making these cases true surgical challenges.

We consider a two-ray ground reflection scenario with unknown distance between transmitter and receiver. By utilizing two frequencies in parallel, we can mitigate possible destructive interference and ensure ultra-reliability with only very limited knowledge at the transmitter. In order to achieve this ultra-reliability, we optimize the frequency spacing such that the worst-case receive power is maximized. Additionally, we provide an algorithm to calculate the optimal frequency spacing. Besides the receive power, we also analyze the achievable rate and outage probability. It is shown that the frequency diversity scheme achieves a significant improvement in terms of reliability over using a single frequency. In particular, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach by a numerical simulation of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flying above flat terrain.
