Enhanced Visible-Light Driven Photocatalytic Performances Over LaFeO3/NiO Modified Porous g-C3N4 Nanosheets

        Ke Xu,Xiaosheng Yang,Dagao Sun,Xin Yang,Yumei Zhou,Wei Li,Qindan Yang,Xianjiong Yang,Rong Li,Jian Feng 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2020 NANO Vol.15 No.02

LaFeO3/NiO modified g-C3N4 nanosheets (L-N/CNS) were synthesized by a two-step method. HRTEM results showed that an intimate contact between LaFeO3, NiO and N-CNS was successfully established. Ninety percent of phenol was degraded within 120 min, and the hydrogen evolution rate of 171.2 μmol h -1 g -1 was obtained over the L-N/CNS heterojunctions under the visible-light irradiation. It was higher than that of g-C3N4 nanosheets, NiO modified g-C3N4 and LaFeO3/g-C3N4. The ·O2 - radicals acted the crucial role in the photocatalytic degradation reaction. EIS, PL and time-resolved fluorescence spectra demonstrated that L-N/CNS possessed the highest charge separation efficiency. The intimate contact between LaFeO3, NiO and g-C3N4 nanosheets promoted the separation and transfer of photo-induced electron–hole pairs and consequently prolonged the exciton lifetime, and implied more photo-induced electrons could be probably involved in the photocatalytic reactions on the surface of photocatalysts. Thus, the visible-light driven photocatalytic performances of L-N/CNS were effective. This work provided a feasible method to design and construct heterostructures for the exploitation of solar energy.

      • Systematic Review of Single Large and/or Multinodular Hepatocellular Carcinoma: Surgical Resection Improves Survival

        Yang, Xiang-Di,Pan, Ling-Hui,Wang, Lin,Ke, Yang,Cao, Ji,Yang, Chun,Zhong, Jian-Hong,Luo, Wang,Guo, Jiao,Li, Le-Qun Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.13

Background: The role of surgical resection for patients with single large (${\geq}5cm$) and/or multinodular (${\geq}2$) hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is still controversial. This systematic review was performed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of resection for patients with single large and/or multinodular HCC. Materials and Methods: Databases (the PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and Cochrane databases) were systematically searched to identify relevant studies exploring the safety and efficacy of resection for single large and/or multinodular HCC, published between January 2000 and December 2014. Perioperative morbidity and mortality, overall survival, and disease-free survival of the resection group were calculated. In addition, these outcome variables were also calculated for the control group in the included studies. Results: One randomized controlled trial and 42 nonrandomized studies involving 9,580 patients were eligible for analysis. Eight (1,594 patients) of the 43 studies also reported the outcomes of transarterial chemoembolization (TACE). Although 51.4% of patients featured cirrhosis, 90.7% of them demonstrated Child-Pugh A liver function in the resection group. The median rates of morbidity (24.5%) and mortality (2.5%) after resection were significantly higher than that of TACE (11.0%, P<0.001; 1.9%, P<0.001). However, patients who underwent resection had significantly higher median one-, three-, and five-year overall survival (76.1%, 51.7%, and 37.4%) than those who underwent TACE (68.3%, 31.5%, and 17.5%, all P<0.001). The median 1-, 3-, and 5-year DFS rates after resection were 58.3%, 34.6%, and 24.0%, respectively. Conclusions: Although tumor recurrence after resection for patients with single large and/ or multinodular HCC continues to be a major problem, resection should be considered as a strategy to achieve long-term survival.

Friendship Influence on Mobile Behavior of Location Based Social Network Users

        Yang Song,Zheng Hu,Xiaoming Leng,Hui Tian,Kun Yang,Xin Ke 한국통신학회 2015 Journal of communications and networks Vol.17 No.2

In mobile computing research area, it is highly desirable to understand the characteristics of user movement so that the user friendly location aware services could be rendered effectively. Location based social networks (LBSNs) have flourished recently and are of great potential for movement behavior exploration and datadriven application design. While there have been some efforts on user check-in movement behavior in LBSNs, they lack comprehensive analysis of social influence on them. To this end, the socialspatial influence and social-temporal influence are analyzed synthetically in this paper based on the related information exposed in LBSNs. The check-in movement behaviors of users are found to be affected by their social friendships both from spatial and temporal dimensions. Furthermore, a probabilistic model of user mobile behavior is proposed, incorporating the comprehensive social influence model with extent personal preference model. The experimental results validate that our proposed model can improve prediction accuracy compared to the state-of-the-art social historical model considering temporal information (SHM+T), which mainly studies the temporal cyclic patterns and uses them to model user mobility, while being with affordable complexity.

Nuclide assignment for an isolated band observed in the 10B + 114Cd reaction

        Yang Qing-Yu,Song Li-Na,Ma Ying-Jun,Yang Dong,Ma Ke-Yan,Wu Xiao-Guang,Zheng Yun,Li Cong-Bo 한국물리학회 2021 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.79 No.3

Three experiments based on the nuclear reactions 14N + 110Pd, 10B + 114Cd and 11B + 114Cd were performed. Coincidences between γ-rays emitted from these reactions were measured with the same detection array which consisted of 14 HPGe detectors. A new band structure was identified using an offline analysis of coincidence data. Because of the isomeric nature of the bandhead, the new band cannot be connected to any known state in any residual nuclei of the used reactions. To assign it to a specific nucleus, we evaluated the experimental population intensities of various known bands in known residual nuclei and investigated the entrance channel effects in the three different experiments. The population intensity patterns of the known bands were observed to exhibit regular systematics. Based on such experimental systematics, we suggest that the most reasonable nuclide assignment for the new band is the 120I nucleus.

Mechanical Properties and Anchorage Angle Optimization of Rock Mass with a Weak Intercalated Layer

        Ke Yang,Xin Lyu,Juejing Fang,Shuai Liu,Zhen Wei,Wenjie Liu 대한토목학회 2022 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.26 No.3

A weak intercalated layer has gradually become the key problem in roadway surrounding rock control in deep rock stress environment, and the selection of anchorage angle has a great influence on the stability of the intercalated rock. This study aimed to prepare weak intercalated layer-composited specimens with different dip angles and anchorage angles for the uniaxial compression test. The results showed that the strength curve of the composite specimens exhibited a single-peak variation trend of first decreasing and then increasing from 0° to 90° inclination variation, and the strength and strain reached the lowest value at 60° inclination angle. The failure modes of composite specimens with different dip angles could be divided into single splitting failure, coupled shear failure, and single shear failure. The initial strength of the unanchored specimen was basically the same as that of the anchored specimen, and with the increase in anchorage angle, the uniaxial strength first increased and then decreased. The appropriate anchorage angle range was 0° to 30°. Mainly slip deformation of the specimen occurred when the anchorage angle was smaller than 30°, and the deformation of the specimen mainly depended on the material of the bolt when the anchorage angle was larger than 30°. The strength variation model of the composite anchorage specimen was proposed, taking into account the stress of the bolt, the influence of the dip angle of the intercalated layer, and the anchorage angle of the structural plane.

Extending the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to Explore Customer’s Behavioral Intention to Use Self-Service Technologies (SSTs) in Chinese Budget Hotels

Ke Yang,Jeong-Gil Choi,Jellna Chung People&Global Business Association 2021 Global Business and Finance Review Vol.26 No.1

Purpose: With the development and increasing adoption of the Internet in the early 21st century, SSTs (Self-Service Technologies) rapidly permeated all aspects of life. Many service providers in China are adopting a wide range of SSTs. This is mainly because they think SSTs improve customer service, increase productivity, and reduce costs. Problem is how potential customers perceive the SSTs and behave. Design/methodology/approach: This study hypotheses that the original TAM and extended TAM would not apply to customers using SSTs in Chinese budget hotels. All the relationships among variables on these models were tested by using a Structural Equation Model (SEM). Findings: Results proved that all of the relationships on the original TAM do apply to customers using SSTs in Chinese budget hotels. However, the extended TAM does not fit into this particular market. Research limitations/implications: This study examined the TAM with perceived risk and perceived playfulness to determine the factors influencing customers’ behavioral intention to use SSTs in budget hotels. This approach is likely to ensure a stable theory development. Hence, the proposed model makes an important contribution to the emerging literature on SSTs. Moreover, this study originally hypothesized perceived risk affected on customers’ satisfaction and behavioral intention to use SSTs in Chinese budget hotels. But it is rejected. Originality/value: This study offers empirical evidence and makes contribution to future research related to further developing an understanding of the relationship between perceived risk and SSTs adoption.

Alectinib (CH5424802) antagonizes ABCB1- and ABCG2-mediated multidrug resistance in vitro, in vivo and ex vivo

        Ke Yang,Yifan Chen,Kenneth Kin Wah To,Fang Wang,Delan Li,Likun Chen,Liwu Fu 생화학분자생물학회 2017 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.49 No.-

Alectinib, an inhibitor of anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK), was approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of patients with ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Here we investigated the reversal effect of alectinib on multidrug resistance (MDR) induced by ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters, which is the primary cause of chemotherapy failure. We provide the first evidence that alectinib increases the sensitivity of ABCB1- and ABCG2-overexpressing cells to chemotherapeutic agents in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, alectinib increased the intracellular accumulation of ABCB1/ABCG2 substrates such as doxorubicin (DOX) and Rhodamine 123 (Rho 123) by inhibiting the efflux function of the transporters in ABCB1- or ABCG2-overexpressing cells but not in their parental sensitive cells. Furthermore, alectinib stimulated ATPase activity and competed with substrates of ABCB1 or ABCG2 and competed with [125I] iodoarylazidoprazosin (IAAP) photolabeling bound to ABCB1 or ABCG2 but neither altered the expression and localization of ABCB1 or ABCG2 nor the phosphorylation levels of AKT and ERK. Alectinib also enhanced the cytotoxicity of DOX and the intracellular accumulation of Rho 123 in ABCB1-overexpressing primary leukemia cells. These findings suggest that alectinib combined with traditional chemotherapy may be beneficial to patients with ABCB1- or ABCG2-mediated MDR.
