<P>The structure of the proposed fishbone-shaped antenna with a V-slot for dual-band operation makes it possible to easily design a high-performance dual-band antenna by adjusting the location and number of fishbones on both sides of a basic antenna with a V-slot at the center. 양방향 RF 통신을 이용한 초소형 오토 샤클 설계 및 구현

모든 공사 현장에서 철골 세우기 작업시 철골 보, 기둥(H 빔) 등의 이동을 위하여 크레인에 샤클을 부착하여 사용하고 있다. 이때 사용되는 샤클의 해체 작업은 높은 곳으로 올라가 수동으로 해야 하므로 안전사고의 위험성이 높고, 작업의 효율성이 떨어지며, 이는 시공비의 증가로 이어진다. 본 연구에서는 건설현장에서 실용적으로 사용할 수 있는 양방향 RF 통신을 이용한 초소형, 초경량, 저전력, 저가의 오토 샤클을 설계·구현하였으며, 기존 오토 샤클과는 다른 새로운 동작원리와 구조를 채택함으로서 우수한 원격 모니터링, 제어 기능을 갖출 수 있었다. 연구 결과는 여러가지 건설 장비의 원격 제어용으로 응용이 가능하며, 건설장비의 첨단화를 가속화 시킬 것으로 판단된다. In order to set up a steel frame at every construction site, it is necessary to attach a shackle to a crane to move steel frame beams and columns(H beams). The shackle used for this purpose must be removed manually from a higher place, which causes the risk of safety accidents to increase, work efficiency to decrease, and construction costs to rise. In this study, micro-mini, super lightweight, lower power consumptive, and cheaper auto-shackle with two-way RF communication, which can be used practically at construction site is designed and developed. The developed auto-shackle is able to have excellent remote monitoring and controlling functions, by adopting new operating principles and structures different from the existing one. The results of the study reveal that the auto-shackle can be applied for the purpose of remote controlling of various construction equipments and speed up the advancement of construction equipments.

<P>Angiotensin II (Ang-II) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) have an important role in the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy, but the signaling cascade of VEGF regulation in response to Ang-II in podocytes is largely unknown. In these experiments, we looked at the effect of Ang-II on the production of VEGF, and investigated whether VEGF production depends on the p38 mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway in cultured mouse podocytes. Incubation of podocytes with Ang-II induced a rapid increase in VEGF mRNA expression and protein synthesis as well as its transcriptional activity in an Ang-II dose-dependent manner. To further define the role of angiotensin type 1 (AT1) and type 2 (AT2) receptors involved in Ang-II-mediated VEGF synthesis, the effects of selective AT1 and AT2 receptor antagonists were evaluated. Prior treatment with losartan significantly inhibited VEGF mRNA and protein synthesis induced by Ang-II, which suggests that the AT1 receptor is involved in Ang-II-mediated VEGF synthesis. Furthermore, stimulation of the cells with Ang-II increased both phosphorylation of p38 MAPK and MAP kinase kinase 3/6 (MKK3/6). Additionally, Ang-II enhanced the DNA binding activity to cAMP response element binding protein (CREB) and phosphorylation of CREB. In addition, to investigate the role of p38 MAPK in Ang-II-induced VEGF synthesis, podocytes were pretreated with or without the p38 MAPK inhibitor, SB203580 for 24 h to observe whether Ang-II-mediated VEGF synthesis was inhibited by blocking p38 MAPK. The addition of SB203580 led to a marked inhibition of the increased VEGF mRNA and protein production induced by Ang-II in a dose-dependent manner. Taken together, these results suggest that Ang-II stimulates the synthesis of VEGF in podocytes and the production of VEGF induced by Ang-II is mediated, in part, through the activation of the p38 MAPK pathway.</P>

<P>N-doped carbon materials were prepared by<I>in situ</I>electrochemical pre-treatment of a carbon electrode in a deaerated non-aqueous electrolyte containing lithium nitrate. Li-O2batteries, applying the novel N-doped carbon electrode, show a significantly reduced overpotential and enhanced O2-evolution efficiency.</P>

천연물은 지역 및 그 이용 특성에 따라 약용 및 식용으로 다양한 쓰임새가 있으며 그 연구 대상으로는 초본, 목본 등의 식물류와 담자균류, 미생물 등을 포함할 수 있으며 그리고 최근 연구가 활성화된 해양생물과 광물에까지 다양하게 소재를 탐색 할 수 있다 그 결과물의 활용은 의약품, 식품 및 화장품의 소재로써 넓게 쓰일 수 있다. 본 연구는 천연물의 활용이 날로 증가되는 현상과 더불어 이미 알려진 수목의 물질 소재에 대해 다양한 생리활성 검색을 실시하여 그 적용을 검토하여 보고하고자 한다. 선택된 수목 수종은 우리나라 자생 침엽수 중 가장 계절적 수량적 확보가 용이하다고 보고된 편백 정유를 이용하여 항세균, 항산화 그리고 항염 작용에 대한 활성 정도를 검토하였다. 항세균 활성 검정에는 그람음성균 2종과 그람양성균 2종에 대하여 실험하였으며 disc paper법, 탁도법, IC<sub>50</sub> minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) 등을 평가하였으며 그 결과 항세균 효과는 그람음성균보다 그람양성균에 대해 보다 높은 활성을 나타내었다. 또한 랫드를 이용한 in vitro 항염 실험을 실시한 결과에서는 실험 대조균의 75%를 상회하는 수준으로 검토되었으며 hyaluronidase 저해 정도를 이용한 in vitro 실험에서는 55%의 저해 정도를 나타내었다. 항산화 정도는 methanol based DPPH법에 의해 0.78% (IC<sub>50</sub>)를 나타내었으며 butylated hydroxy toulene (BHT)를 표준 물질로 사용하였다. The essential oil from Chamaecyparis obtusa was investigated for biological activities in anti-oxidative, anti-inflammation and antibacterial method, respectively. The Growth inhibitory effect of C. obtusa oil on the bacteria was evaluated with MIC (minimum inhibitory concentration), IC<sub>50</sub> (50% inhibitory concentration), and paper disc method. Two kinds of gram positive strains and two kinds of gram negative strains were used in this study. Gram positive strains were B. subtilis and S. aureus. and Gram negative strains were E. coli and P. aeruginosa. Gram positive strains showed much more intensive effect than gram negative strains. Anti-oxidative effect was investigated with DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhidrazyl) in methanol based and IC<sub>50</sub> was 0.78%. Our results suggest that the essential oil from Chamaecyparis obtusa has effects on anti-bacterial, anti- oxidative and anti-inflammation in in vitro and in uiuo. Then this material could be expect synergic effect with other candidated extracts and oils.
Flexible binder-free graphene paper cathodes for high-performance Li-O<sub>2</sub> batteries

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this study, free-standing porous graphene papers for high-capacity and reversible Li-O<SUB>2</SUB> battery cathodes are investigated. The graphene paper-like films were fabricated by the assembling of graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) with the aid of graphene oxides (GOs) as a stabilizer, using a vacuum-assisted filtration method. By using GOs as a stabilizer, the GNP/GO films were fabricated with a paper-like form and they exhibited a highly wrinkled and disordered morphology. Moreover, the use of GNPs as a basic material eliminated the need for a post-annealing to recover the intrinsic electrical conductivity of graphene sheets. Subsequently, the GNP/GO paper could be directly used as a Li-O<SUB>2</SUB> battery cathode without any conducting additives and binders. The GNP/GO paper electrode showed a much higher discharge capacity in comparison to the reduced-GO paper and commercially available carbon papers. We also found that toroidal Li<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB> mainly nucleated and grew on discharge, and decomposed on charge with a relatively high O<SUB>2</SUB> evolution/consumption efficiency of 87%. However, a large number of Li<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB> particles grew inside the GNP/GO paper electrode, resulting in severe volume expansion of the electrode. This volume expansion could be the primary reason for the capacity fading on cycling.</P>
