유치원과 초등학교 교육과정에 나타난 과학교육 내용의 연계성 분석

학생들의 지속적인 성장과 발전을 위해서 학교급에 따른 학습 내용의 연계성은 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 그러나 유아교육과 초등학교 과학과 교육과정의 연계성에 대한 연구는 상대적으로 부족한 편이다. 이러한 측면에서 유아교육에서 전체적으로 제시하고 있는 과학 관련 학습 내용과 초등학교 과학과 교과 과정 간의 연속성에 대한 분석이 선행될 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 2015 과학과 교육과정을 중심으로 14개의 소영역으로 구성하고, 유치원과 초등학교 과학교육의 핵심 내용을 대응 관계로 제시하였다. 그 결과, 유치원에서만 제시된 학습 내용, 초등학교에만 제시된 학습 내용, 유치원과 초등학교의 명확한 연관성이 보이는 학습 내용으로 분류할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 유치원과 초등학교 과학과 교육과정의 연계성에 대한 시사점을 제시하고 있다는 점에서 의미가 있다. For the continuous growth and development of students, continuity of learning content according to the school level is essential. However, research on the continuity of kindergarten education and elementary school science curriculum is relatively insufficient. In this respect, it is necessary to precede the analysis of the continuity between the science-related learning content presented in kindergarten education and the science curriculum in elementary school. In this study, the 2015 science curriculum was organized into 14 small sections, and the core contents of science education in kindergartens and elementary schools were presented as correspondence. As a result, it was possible to classify learning contents presented only in kindergarten, learning contents presented only in elementary schools, and learning contents showing a clear continuity between kindergarten and elementary school. This study is meaningful in that it presents implications for the continuity between the science curriculum of the kindergarten curriculum and the elementary school curriculum.
“A Thorough Study of the Spanish Influenza”

본 연구는 일본제국 정부가 1918년에서 1920년까지 유행했던 스페인독감을 어떻게 이해하고 이에 대처하려 하였는가를 통해 1920년대 일본제국 정부의 구조적 모순과 정당, 부서 간 불협화음을 보여준다. 독감바이러스가 발견되지 않았던 1920년 당시 스페인독감은 전세계적으로 예방과 치료가 불가능한 전염병이었다. 특히 독감 증상 중 하나였던 „면역계 과잉반응 (cytokine syndrome)‟은 건강한 면역계를 가지고 있던 20대와 30대에 치명적이었고, 이는 노동력과 인구수에 큰 피해를 입혔다. 1920년, 문제해결을 위해 43대 국회의원이었던 마츠시타 테이지는 스페인독감을 위한 전문연구시설 설립을 주창했고, 국회는 곧 특별위원회를 소집하여 이 안건을 논의했다. 이 특별위원회는 야당과 여당 의원들, 의학, 과학계 인사들, 정부 기관장들로 이루어졌다. 본 연구는 위원회 참석자들의 인적 네트워크와 이해관계를 토대로, 마츠시타 테이지의 초안이었던 „스페인독감을 위해 전문연구시설 설립’이 어떻게 „스페인독감에 대한 연구’로 변했는가를 분석한다. 이에 제국정부와 부서 간 구조적 비완전성과 정치-과학계의 일선, 정당정치가 20세기 최악의 유행병조차 일개 „연구를 요하는 사회문제’로 축소했음을 주장한다. When the Spanish Influenza hit Japan from 1918 to 1920, it revealed deep cleavages within the governmental ministries as well as in the scientific community. It posed an incomprehensible problem while causing massive demographic damage that the existing system of emergency protocols could contain. To redress the situation, in 1920, Matsushita Teiji, a former physician and a non-partisan member at the 43rd House of Representatives, proposed to establish a research institute dedicated to the study of the flu. The proposal resulted in the formation of a special committee with most of its discussants prominent members of the scientific community. Yet, over the five meetings the committee held, the committee reduced its mission from building an institute to conducting “a thorough study.” The catastrophe, comparable to a natural disaster worsened by the lack of a preventive system, was rendered into a social problem that merely required a “study” to find solutions. By reconstructing the skirmishes at the committee meetings and the relationships among the discussants, this paper shows how the reduction took place within the context of 1920s‟ party politics and the bureaucratic system managing medical science. Contrary to the façade of structural stability that some historians and itself promoted, the Japanese state in the story of the Spanish Influenza exhibits a wobbly amalgam of fragmentary party interests and incoherent ministerial authorities.
In-Situ Measurement of Vitamin C Content in Commercial Tablet Products by Terahertz Time-Domain

<P>Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) was applied to investigate the feasibility of in-situ measuring vitamin C content in commercial tablet products without any pretreatments. Characteristic absorption peaks of vitamin C were analyzed with quantum mechanical calculation to reveal the molecular origin of them. The peak appearing at 1.08 THz was then selected and tested for its suitability as a fingerprint signal for analyzing the vitamin C content in dietary supplement tablets. There are a couple of factors influencing THz absorbance other than concentration. Among those, the effects of tablet thickness and types of excipients in the tablet products were found to be significant, and were corrected with the calibration curve to determine vitamin C concentration in tablet forms. Furthermore, commercial tablet products in the market were analyzed using THz-TDS and the measured vitamin C contents were in good agreement with those determined using a reference method (high-performance liquid chromatography). Thus, our results suggest that THz-TDS can be used for the in-situ analysis of vitamin C in commercial tablet products.</P>

With the increase in lifespan, and consequent increase in the elderly population, the prevalence of dementia is also increasing. The prevalence of dementia in the elderly over 65 in Korea was 10.3% in 2020 and is expected to increase to 16.1% by 2050. Dementia is a cognitive decline that affects eating behavior, leading to weight loss and malnutrition. In fact, the prevalence of malnutrition has been rising, and has been reported to be 58.9% among dementia patients in community facilities. Dementia requires the intake of sufficient calories and protein to prevent weight loss. On the other hand, intake of certain nutrients, such as omega-3 fatty acids, thiamine, vitamin E, selenium, and copper, helps prevent dementia in healthy people but has no effect on patients with advanced dementia. As dementia worsens, if food intake is reduced, oral nutritional supplements and enteral nutrition should be initiated to prevent weight loss and malnutrition. Dementia patients are very vulnerable to malnutrition, and hence require more active nutritional support.
강도 및 강성 조건을 고려한 탄소섬유강화플라스틱(CFRP) 로어 컨트롤 아암의 치수 최적설계

The necessity for environment-friendly material development has emerged in the recent automotive field due to stricter regulations on fuel economy and environmental concerns. Accordingly, the automotive industry is paying attention to carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) material with high strength and stiffness properties while the lightweight. In this study, we determine a shape of lower control arm (LCA) for maximizing the strength and stiffness by optimizing the thickness of each layer when the stacking angle is fixed due to the CFRP manufacturing problems. Composite materials are laminated in the order of 0°, 90°, 45°, and -45° with a symmetrical structure. For the approximate optimal design, we apply a sequential two-point diagonal quadratic approximate optimization (STDQAO) and use a process integrated design optimization (PIDO) code for this purpose. Based on the physical properties calculated within a predetermined range of laminate thickness, we perform the FEM analysis and verify whether it satisfies the load and stiffness conditions or not. These processes are repeated for successive improved objective function. Optimized CFRP LCA has the equivalent stiffness and strength with light weight structure when compared to conventional aluminum design.
