The necessity for environment-friendly material development has emerged in the recent automotive field due to stricter regulations on fuel economy and environmental concerns. Accordingly, the automotive industry is paying attention to carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) material with high strength and stiffness properties while the lightweight. In this study, we determine a shape of lower control arm (LCA) for maximizing the strength and stiffness by optimizing the thickness of each layer when the stacking angle is fixed due to the CFRP manufacturing problems. Composite materials are laminated in the order of 0°, 90°, 45°, and -45° with a symmetrical structure. For the approximate optimal design, we apply a sequential two-point diagonal quadratic approximate optimization (STDQAO) and use a process integrated design optimization (PIDO) code for this purpose. Based on the physical properties calculated within a predetermined range of laminate thickness, we perform the FEM analysis and verify whether it satisfies the load and stiffness conditions or not. These processes are repeated for successive improved objective function. Optimized CFRP LCA has the equivalent stiffness and strength with light weight structure when compared to conventional aluminum design.
성격 5요인, 정서지능, 핵심자기평가가 직무만족에 미치는 영향: K사 남성 생산직 근로자를 중심으로

본 연구에서는 남성 생산직 근로자를 대상으로 성격 5요인, 정서지능, 핵심자기평가와 직무만족간의 관계를 검증하고, 성격 5요인, 정서지능, 핵심자기평가가 직무만족에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 이를 위하여 광주광역시 소재의 남성 생산직 근로자 179명을 대상으로 성격5요인 척도, 정서지능 척도, 핵심자기평가, 직무만족 질문지를 실시하였으며, 상관분석과 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성격 5요인 중 성실성, 정서지능, 핵심자기평가가 직무만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성격 5요인, 정서지능, 핵심자기평가 중에서 직무만족에 대한 상대적 영향력이 높은 것은 정서지능인 것으로 나타났다. 논의에서는 남성 생산직 근로자의 직무만족을 높이기 위한 정서지능과 핵심자기평가의 향상 방안을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의 및 한계점, 추후 연구를 위한 제언을 하였다. This research intends to analyze the influence of the factors that have an effect on job satisfaction of male production workers in terms of big five personality factors, emotional intelligence, core self-evaluation and job satisfaction. The subjects of research are 179 production workers of K-factory located in Gwang-ju, Korea and the research has been carried out by using structured questionnaires. The program SPSS 23.0 is utilized to analyze the data by using the method of descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. The research results are as follows. Firstly, the only average monthly income validly effects on job satisfaction among the demographics characteristic. Secondly, big five personality factors, emotional intelligence, core self-evaluation and job satisfaction show valid correlation as a result of the Pearson correlation analysis. Lastly, in terms of the relative effects on job satisfaction of male production workers among big five personality factors, emotional intelligence and core self-evaluation, emotional intelligence is the biggest influence and core self-evaluation is the following. This result implies the necessity of effort to increase the level of emotional intelligence and core self-evaluation to improve the job satisfaction of male production workers.

Seniors living alone feel more depressed than seniors living with other people and suffer from a low quality of life, due to their physical challenges, rare interaction with others and a sense of solitude. To solve the issues of solitary death and suicide of the elderly population, which are social issues beyond personal issues, it is necessary to offer services that can relieve their loneliness in their homes, where they spend most of their time. The causes of loneliness of the elderly living alone and the linkage to their physical and emotional characteristics were explored through preceding studies published at home and abroad. The purpose is to create methods of relieving the sense of solitude and loneliness of the elderly and apply them to their homes. In living spaces, lighting is a critical medium that forms a relation between people and the environment; it also has a tremendous impact on the physical and mental health of residents. However, guidelines and standards for seniors appeared to have focused mostly on illumination requirements for specific tasks. This study explains why the elderly population living alone feels lonely, as the population rises around the world, and presents a unique residential lighting plan accordingly. Seniors feel depressed when they exposed to ≥400㏓. Therefore, Over 400㏓ might be appropriate illuminance to maintain the mental health of the elderly. Also, To incoming enough sunlight, careful architectural design of the building is needed. Lastly, Providing customised lighting solutions by considering one’s preference and taste. Such lighting system that takes into account the individual needs of residents could effectively reduce the sense of solitude and loneliness of the elderly living alone.
주성분분석을 이용한 캡 서스펜션의 영향인자 분석 및 신뢰성기반최적설계

신차 개발 시 프론트 로딩 단계에서 산포요인의 예측 및 제어를 통해 형상뿐만 아니라 승차감 및 핸들링까지 고려하여 성능 통합적인 차량 개발 프로세스를 구축하기 위한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 또한 이 과정에서 확률 통계적 기법을 적용시켜 불확실성 하에서의 시험 결과와 예측 값 간의 오차를 줄이고자 하는 필요성이 증가되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 상용차의 캡 서스펜션과 부시 시스템의 다중반응 문제에 대하여 제어인자와 잡음인자의 불확실성을 고려한 신뢰성기반 최적화 설계를 수행하였다. 실험계획법을 기반으로 주성분분석 기법을 적용함으로써 강건최적설계 값을 도출하였으며, 다중반응 성능지수에 영향이 큰 주요 설계인자를 추려내어 해석비용을 크게 절약하였다. 또한, 결정론적 접근법의 결과값을 기준으로 하여 사용자가 원하는 신뢰도를 만족할 수 있도록 신뢰성기반설계를 수행하였다. The objective of reliability-based design is to consider the performance and reliability of uncertain systems, simultaneously. This is expected to guarantee that a minimum level of reliability is maintained and to improve ride comfort and tilting convenience in a commercial vehicle cab suspension system. In this paper, we propose the principal component analysis to explain the covariance structure through linear combinations of multi-response problems. The analysis of variance and quality loss function is used to investigate the effects of combined multiple performance constraints. We determine the rank of each factor to reduce these design variables. In this work, fifteen control factors, two noise factors and two multi-responses are used for the analysis of a cab suspension, and a total of 81 Taguchi experiments are performed.
응력수명법을 이용한 탄소섬유강화복합재 로어 컨트롤 아암의 내구성 평가

최근 자동차 분야에서의 CO₂ 배출 및 연비에 대한 규제가 강화되고 있다. 이에 따라 여러 기업들은 차체 및 차량부품에 복합재료를 적용하여 경량화를 이루고 연비향상을 통해 규제를 만족하고자 한다. 특히 현가파트 중 강한 하중을 받는 로어 컨트롤 아암의 경우, 운전조건을 만족하기 위해 대부분 두껍고 무겁게 설계된다. 따라서, 로어 컨트롤 아암의 경량화 및 그에 따른 내구성평가가 필수적으로 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 유한요소해석을 통해 하중조건에 따른 강도 및 강성 해석 값이 경계조건을 만족하는지 확인하기 위하여 구조해석을 수행하였다. 해석 과정에는 주응력 값을 기준으로 평가하고 관성제거기법을 적용하였다. 또한, 이를 바탕으로 응력-수명법을 이용하여 내구성평가를 실시하였다. Recently, regulations on fuel efficiency and CO₂ emissions have been reinforced in automobile industries. As a result, many companies make an effort to satisfy these regulations by adapting composite materials to the automobile body as well as its components. In particular, the lower control arm in the suspension system is subjected to heavy loads and is designed to be thick to meet operating loads. Therefore, it is essential for the lower control arm to reduce weight and to secure the durability assessment. In this paper, we conducted structural analysis by performing stress and stiffness analysis under given load conditions through finite element analysis, and verified whether it satisfies the load and stiffness conditions. The inertia relief method is adapted to the process of analysis, and the principal stress is used as a criterion for evaluation. Based on these results, the durability assessment is carried out using the stress-life method.
