Purpose: Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination is readily available, but immunization rate is minimal. Lack of knowledge concerning the HPV infection and vaccine is expected as the primary reason. The correlation between knowledge levels and vaccination will provide applicable guidelines for successful interventions. Method: 309 female university students have completed surveys September 2016, reporting of HPV infection knowledge, HPV vaccine knowledge, source of knowledge, and attitudes concerning vaccination. Result: HPV infection and vaccine knowledge levels were both suboptimal(9.57±1.84, 7.59±1.58), and the Internet(16.2%) was recognized as the most generally used means of obtaining information on the HPV vaccine. However, vaccination rates were reported to be low(28.2%), with lack of information(46.6%) hindering immunization. Correlations were found between HPV infection knowledge and cervical cancer insight, but the correlations between knowledge levels and vaccination rates were insignificant. Conclusion: Prior information on cervical cancer had an effect on the knowledge levels of HPV infection, but other factors were insignificant. Lack of information on the HPV vaccine was speculated, thus programs should focus on accessibility and effectiveness.
Near-threshold photoproduction of φ mesons from deuterium
CLAS Collaboration,Qian, X.,Chen, W.,Gao, H.,Hicks, K.,Kramer, K.,Laget, J.M.,Mibe, T.,Qiang, Y.,Stepanyan, S.,Tedeschi, D.J.,Xu, W.,Adhikari, K.P.,Amaryan, M.,Anghinolfi, M.,Ball, J.,Battaglieri, M. North-Holland Pub. Co 2011 Physics letters: B Vol.696 No.4
We report the first, kinematically-complete measurement of the differential cross section of φ-meson photoproduction from deuterium near the production threshold for a proton using the CLAS detector and a tagged-photon beam in Hall B at Jefferson Lab. The measurement was carried out by a triple coincidence detection of a proton, K+ and K- near the theoretical production threshold of 1.57 GeV. The extracted differential cross sections dσdt for the initial photon energy range of 1.65-1.75 GeV are consistent with predictions based on a quasifree mechanism. Our finding is different from recent LEPS results on φ-meson photoproduction from deuterium in a similar incident photon energy range, but in a different momentum transfer region.

The separation of a hydrogen isotope mixture on porous materials was studied using equilibrium and breakthrough experiments. The adsorption equilibria of H2 and D2 on SBA-15 with mesopores and molecular sieves 5A, Y, and 10X with micropores were measured at 77 K using the volumetric method. The breakthrough experiments of a H2 and D2 mixture in each adsorbent bed were carried out at various conditions of flow rate and pressure. The equilibrium ratio of D2 to H2 on mesoporous molecular sieves was larger than the ratio on microporous molecular sieves (SBA-15 > 10X > Y > 5A), but the difference among the adsorbents decreased with increases in pressure. On the other hand, the order of breakthrough separation factor showed the opposite result (SBA-15 < 10X < Y < 5A). The breakthrough separation factors for zeolite 10X was approximately equal to the equilibrium ratio of D2 to H2 at the corresponding partial pressures, whereas zeolites 5A and Y showed higher breakthrough separation factors than their equilibrium ratios. In SBA-15, the separation factors from breakthrough results were even smaller than the corresponding equilibrium ratio. In the microporous adsorbent with a limited pore size (zeolite 5A in the study), the diffusion mechanism contributed to the separation of hydrogen isotope gases as one of key factors.

<P>The electrical conducting, thermal expansion and electrochemical properties of La1.8Sr0.2NiO4+delta were investigated in view of cathode utilization for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells. La1.8Sr0.2NiO4+delta exhibited electrical conductivities of 96 -114 S cm(-1) at 600-800 degrees C and a thermal expansion coefficient of 12.6 x 10(-6) K-1 between 50 and 1000 degrees C. Based on a three-electrode half cell, the electrode properties of La1.8Sr0.2NiO4+delta were diagnosed using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and chronopotentiometry techniques. Moreover, the, performance of an anode-supported single cell with La1.8Sr0.2NiO4+delta cathode was examined. Compared with La2NiO4+delta, La1.8Sr0.2NiO4+delta manifested improved electrode properties under cathodic polarization conditions while showing an analogous catalytic activity under open-circuit conditions. At 800 degrees C in air, La1.8Sr0.2NiO4+delta electrode displayed a polarization resistance of 0.41 0 cm(2) and a cathodic overpotential of 90 mV at 200 mA cm(-2). The anode-supported single cell with La1.8Sr0.2NiO4+delta cathode achieved a maximum power density of 520 mW cm(-2) at 800 degrees C in hydrogen fuel. Nodeless superconductivity in the noncentrosymmetric superconductor BiPd
Yan, X B,Xu, Y,He, L P,Dong, J K,Cho, Hwanbeom,Peets, D C,Park, Je-Geun,Li, S Y IOP 2016 Superconductor science & technology Vol.29 No.6
<P>We report low-temperature thermal conductivity measurements on high-quality single crystalline <I>α</I>-BiPd, a noncentrosymmetric superconductor with <I>T</I> c?≃?3.8 K. In zero magnetic field, the residual linear term <I>κ</I> 0/<I>T</I> is absent, indicating a full gap and suggesting dominant singlet pairing. Consistent with this picture, <I>κ</I> 0(<I>H</I>)/<I>T</I> shows weak field dependence in low field, but grows relatively fast in fields above 0.03 T (≃1/5<I>H</I> c2). Implications for the material’s disputed high-field behavior are discussed, and constraints are placed on the previously proposed scenarios.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>We report on the first measurement of the differential cross section of <I>φ</I>-meson photoproduction for the d(γ,pK+K−)n exclusive reaction channel. The experiment was performed using a tagged-photon beam and the CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer (CLAS) at Jefferson Lab. A combined analysis using data from the d(γ,pK+K−)n channel and those from a previous publication on coherent <I>φ</I> production on the deuteron has been carried out to extract the φ−N total cross section, σφN. The extracted φ−N total cross section favors a value above 20 mb. This value is larger than the value extracted using vector-meson dominance models for <I>φ</I> photoproduction on the proton.</P>
On a novel eccentricity-based invariant of a graph
Xu, K. X.,Das, K. C.,Maden, A. D. Springer Business + Business Media 2016 Acta mathematica Sinica. English series Vol.32 No.12
<P>In this paper, for the purpose of measuring the non-self-centrality extent of non-selfcentered graphs, a novel eccentricity-based invariant, named as non-self-centrality number (NSC number for short), of a graph G is defined as follows: N(G) = Sigma(vi), (vj is an element of V(G)) vertical bar e(i) - e(j)vertical bar where the summation goes over all the unordered pairs of vertices in G and e(i) is the eccentricity of vertex vi in G, whereas the invariant will be called third Zagreb eccentricity index if the summation only goes over the adjacent vertex pairs of graph G. In this paper, we determine the lower and upper bounds on N(G) and characterize the corresponding graphs at which the lower and upper bounds are attained. Finally we propose some attractive research topics for this new invariant of graphs.</P>
Some extremal results on the connective eccentricity index of graphs
Xu, K.,Das, K.Ch.,Liu, H. Academic Press 2016 Journal of mathematical analysis and applications Vol.433 No.2
<P>The connective eccentricity index (CEI) of a graph G is defined as xi(ce)(G) = Sigma(vi is an element of V(G)) d(vi)/epsilon(vi) where epsilon(vi) and d(vi) are the eccentricity and the degree of vertex vi, respectively, in G. In this paper we obtain. some lower and upper bounds on the connective eccentricity index for all trees of order n and with matching number beta and characterize the corresponding extremal trees. And the maximal graphs of order n and with matching number beta and n edges have been determined which maximize the connective eccentricity index. Also the extremal graphs with maximal connective eccentricity index are completely characterized among all connected graphs of order n and with matching number beta. Moreover we establish some relations between connective eccentricity index and eccentric connectivity index, as another eccentricity-based invariant, of graphs. (C) 2015 Elsevier Inc. The Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase Signal Transduction Pathways in Alternaria Species
Xu, Houjuan,Xu, Xiaoxue,Wang, Yu-Jun,Bajpai, Vivek K.,Huang, Lisha,Chen, Yongfang,Baek, Kwang-Hyun The Korean Society of Plant Pathology 2012 Plant Pathology Journal Vol.28 No.3
Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascades are conserved signaling modules in the eukaryotic cells. They are involved in many major cell processes in fungi such as stress responses, vegetative growth, pathogenicity, secondary metabolism and cell wall integrity. In this review, we summarized the advances of research on the MAPK signaling pathways in Alternaria species. As major phytopathogenic fungi, Alternaria species reduce crop production. In contrast to the five MAPK pathways known in yeast, only three MAPK pathways as Fus3/Kss1-type, Hog1-type, and Slt2-type have been characterized in Alternaria. The Fus3/Kss1-type MAPK pathway participates in regulation of vegetative growth, conidiation, production of some cell-wall-degrading enzymes and pathogenicity. The Hog1-type pathway is involved in osmotic and oxidative stress, fungicides susceptibility and pathogenicity. The Slt2-type MAP kinases play an important role on maintaining cell wall integrity, pathogenicity and conidiation. Although recent advances on the MAPK pathways in Alternaria spp. reveal many important features on the pathogenicity, there are many unsolved problems regarding to the unknown MAP kinase cascade components and network among other major signal transduction. Considering the economic loss induced by Alternaria spp., more researches on the MAPK pathways will need to control the Alternaria diseases.
