수학 학습에 대한 상황적 흥미 요인 탐색

본 연구의 목적은 수학 학습에 대한 상황적 흥미 요인을 탐색하고, 이 결과를 바탕으로 수학 수업 내의 교수·학습 방법과 교수·학습 활동 및 수업 외의 비교과 활동에 포함되어 있는 상황적 흥미 요인을 밝히는 것이다. 고등학생들을 대상으로 설문을 실시한 결과 수학 학습에 대한 상황적 흥미의 요인은 10개의 세부영역(즐거움, 호기심, 유능감/ 실생활, 타교과, 진로/ 사전 지식, 지식의 축적/ 변환, 해석), 4개의 일반영역(정서, 태도/ 지식, 이해), 2개의 고차영역(정의/인지)으로 추출되었다. 또한 교수·학습 방법과 교수·학습 활동 및 비교과 활동에는 상황적 흥미의 다양한 요인이 포함되어 있음을 밝혔다. 10개의 수학 학습에 대한 상황적 흥미 요인에 개인적 흥미로 발달에 필요한 요인이 공유되어 있었고, 이러한 연구 결과는 수학 학습 흥미 발달에 관한 연구로 확장될 수 있을 것이다. The purpose of this study is to explore the factors of situational interest in math learning, and based on the results, to reveal the factors of situational interest included in teaching and learning methods, teaching and learning activities in mathematics class, and extracurricular activities outside of class. As a result of conducting a questionnaire to high school students, the factors of situational interest in learning mathematics were divided into 10 detail-domain(Enjoy, Curiosity, Competence / Real life, Other subjects, Career / Prior knowledge, Accumulation knowledge / Transformation, Analysis), 4 general-domain(Emotion, Attitude / Knowledge, Understanding), 2 higher-domain(Affective / Cognitive) were extracted. In addition, it was revealed that various factors of situational interest were included teaching and learning methods, teaching and learning activities and extracurricular activities. When examining the meaning of 10 situational interest factors, it can be expected that the factors for developing individual interest are included, so it can be expected to serve as a basis for expanding the study on the development of individual interest in mathematics learning. In addition, in order to maintain individual interest continuously, it is necessary to maintain situational interest by seeking continuous changes in teaching and learning methods in the school field. Therefore, it can be seen that the process of exploring the contextual interest factors included in teacher-centered teaching and learning methods and student-centered teaching and learning activities and extracurricular activities is meaningful.

This article aims to understand and bolster the recent historiographical trend of reassessing post-Ricci generation of Jesuit missionaries. It is crucial for better sense of missionary geography of Late Ming, in particular, to distance from dichotomy between Pro-Riccian Jesuits and Anti-Riccians. The article suggests to historicize the missionary stance of post-Ricci generation in Late Ming period. Textual analyses of Vagnoni’s Jiaoyao jielue around the Nanjing Persecution in 1616 and that of Longobardo’s Short Answers in 1623 close to the period of Jiading Conference in 1627, they reveal the coexistence of both transformation and continuation of Ricci’s accommodation strategy. By and large, Longobardo and Vagnoni shared the legacy of their formal leader Ricci, particularly his missionary vision. However, Longobardo insisted significantly disparate from Ricci when it comes to the matter of compatibility between Confucianism and Catholicism. Although it is necessary to correct a fixated understanding on Longobardo’s stance as an Anti-Riccian Jesuit, but beyond that, it is also true that the two showed a notable disparity in practicing Jesuit accommodationism in China.

Playing the Feminine: Politics of Gendered Performances in Charlotte Dacre’s Zofloya

This essay explores the performativity of villainesses in Charlotte Dacre’s Zofloya to investigate Dacre’s ironic use of gendered ideals. Featuring two villainesses, Victoria and Megalena, who use their knowledge of the others’ desire for maidenly/matronly women in disguising and achieving their vile wants, Dacre exposes the fictitiousness of gendered ideals and mocks the one-dimensionality of gender norms. Victoria and Megalena are keen actresses adept in cloaking themselves in robes of femininity, and their efforts to perform the ideal feminine may mark them as submissive. But it is important to note that the performative selves over which the two villainesses have full command allow them to unravel gendered hierarchies, to turn the dynamics of male-female gazing on its head. Victoria and Megalena’s assertive personas, which Dacre condemns but does not soften, also gives hints as how we can understand Dacre’s defiant approach to gender politics of her time as well as to the gothic convention, both of which drew firm lines between the male and female. Like its villainesses who transgress the boundaries of gender, Dacre’s text also defies the gothic norm that relates terror to female and horror to male writing by appropriating them both. Like her female antagonists, Dacre performs the femimine role of an apologetic writer, reassuring the readers with “dear reader” comments and the violent deaths she pens for them. However, the fact that Dacre forces her readers to witness villainesses glide in and out of idealized female roles with ease and undermine, criticize, and subvert the gendered order of things reveals that Dacre’s intent had been to unnerve and disrupt, rather than titillate then reassure.

Procurement scheduling under supply and demand uncertainty

Supply chain of a manufacturing system contains procurement activity, and unloading raw materials from delivery vessels to storage tanks should be scheduled optimally, subject to the operational constraints. In general, an MILP model is used for a systematic procurement scheduling. However if there exists significant uncertainty in supply and demand, the solution obtained from the deterministic model may be suboptimal or even infeasible. Therefore in this study, two alternative approaches are formulated to consider these uncertainties: reactive rescheduling in the rolling horizon manner, and Markov decision process (MDP) formulation based scheduling that incorporates future uncertainty into the scheduling directly. In order to solve the MDP problem, algorithmic approximation strategies (such as approximate dynamic programming) are studied and applied for reducing computational challenges. Finally, their performances are compared with those of the original MILP model for a simple case study.

Assimilation Aborted and Fantasies Traversed in Jean Rhys’s Voyage in the Dark

Jean Rhys’s Voyage in the Dark places Anna, a half-English, half creole from the West Indies, on the streets of London, and forces her readers to witness Anna’s repeated failures to assimilate. Through such failings, Rhys strips the abstraction from the potentially subversive force of hybridity. Anna is “not quite” and “less than” in both of her worlds. She identifies herself as a West Indian, but she knows that her whiteness prevents her from truly belonging to the region and its culture. The “stereoscopic vision” Anna possesses enables her to penetrate the exclusivism that bolsters the colonial world(s), but her critiques do not resolve her unbelonging for hybridity’s disruptive force works mostly on an epistemological level. Anna’s attempts to assimilate are aborted because she is a self-identified other―London offers no place for one whose tertiary alterity symptomatically reveals the fundamental flaw in the binary framing that undergirds imperial and nationalistic discourses. Through Anna’s failures to belong, Rhys betrays the fantastical nature of the master narrative maintains the imperial order and, thus “traverses” the fantasy that is the imperial/symbolic order. Anna the hybrid returnee fails to really “return,” but because she does, Rhys is also able to reveal that the concept of subversive hybridity is itself a fantasy.

Morphological and genetic characterization of Off-type rice plants collected from farm fields in Korea

Off-type rice plants occurring in farm fields cause yield loss due to competition with cultivated rice, in addition to hindering field management and harvest work. This study aimed to observe the agronomic characteristics and trace the origins of off-type rice plants using molecular markers. A total of 116 rice accessions, comprising 35 off-type plants collected from Korean farm fields, 19 Korean commercial cultivars, 12 Korean land races, and 50 weedy rice collections, were phenotyped and genotyped using selected SSR and Subspecies Specific (SS)-STS markers. The results showed that the plant height, culm length, and leaf length of off-type rice plants were larger than those of cultivated rice, which is the typical phenotype of weedy rice. However, off-type plants were highly sterile, as opposed to weedy rice, which were highly fertile. Genotype analysis with SSR and SS-STS markers revealed that off-type rice plants were heterozygous at most of the tested marker loci, suggesting that the off-type rice plants may have originated from natural outcrossing. The genotypes of off-type rice plants were closely related to both weedy and cultivated rice, and the phylogenetic analysis revealed that the relationship of the clustered group of offtype rice plants is intermediate between Indica type weedy rice and Japonica type commercial varieties. These results suggested that off-type rice plants collected in Korean farm fields might have originated from natural outcrossing between Indica type weedy rice and the cultivated Japonica type commercial varieties.

Implications of Incentive Auction : Focusing on key issues in U.S.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which regulates interstate and international communications in the United States, has established a plan to allocate high demand spectrum to the usage of mobile communication by inducing voluntary relinquishment from broadcasters. This plan was introduced by the National Broadband Plan as an incentive auction in 2010. The FCC suggested the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) in 2012 and issued Report and Order (R&O) on May 2014 regarding the overall rules of incentive auctions expected to be implemented in mid-2015. The incentive auction attracts the attention of many countries because this policy suggests a novel approach regarding the alteration of use from an inefficient usage to an efficient usage in limited spectrum resources. In this paper, we define the key issues in order for implementation of incentive auction. Since the incentive auction is a highly complicated process compared to previous allocation procedures, a careful review of the incentive auction regarding whether this spectrum policy can be introduced is required. In this paper, we describe the detailed procedure of the incentive auction and present policy considerations for the introduction of the incentive auction.
