Influences of heat-treatment and anodizing procedures on microstructure evolution and corrosion performance of two as-castmagnesium alloys containing different amounts of Ca and rare earth elements and same amounts of Zn were investigated, withthe ultimate goal of developing a new biodegradable metallic implant. The first alloy (hereafter, denoted as F1) had higherRE element content but less calcium than the second one (denoted as F2). The same procedures of solution heat-treatmentand aging were applied to alloys. Microstructures, together with the distribution and composition of secondary phases ofall samples, were investigated by optical microscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy, and energy-dispersivespectroscopy. Moreover, corrosion properties were evaluated in the phosphate-buffered saline solution using potentiodynamicpolarization and also immersion tests at 37 °C. The results showed that corrosion performance is affected by both chemicalcomposition and heat-treatment procedures. As-cast F2 has the least corrosion rate achieved by the polarization test. However,immersion test results show that solution heat-treated F1 has the lowest corrosion rate among all other specimens, includingpure commercial Mg. In the next step, the anodizing process was performed in 3 current densities on solution heat-treatedF1 alloy, and a 60% reduction in the corrosion rate was observed.
Improved Feature Selection Techniques for Image Retrieval based on Metaheuristic Optimization

Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) system plays a vital role to retrieve the relevant images as per the user perception from the huge database is a challenging task. Images are represented is to employ a combination of low-level features as per their visual content to form a feature vector. To reduce the search time of a large database while retrieving images, a novel image retrieval technique based on feature dimensionality reduction is being proposed with the exploit of metaheuristic optimization techniques based on Genetic Algorithm (GA), Extended Binary Cuckoo Search (EBCS) and Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA). Each image in the database is indexed using a feature vector comprising of fuzzified based color histogram descriptor for color and Median binary pattern were derived in the color space from HSI for texture feature variants respectively. Finally, results are being compared in terms of Precision, Recall, F-measure, Accuracy, and error rate with benchmark classification algorithms (Linear discriminant analysis, CatBoost, Extra Trees, Random Forest, Naive Bayes, light gradient boosting, Extreme gradient boosting, k-NN, and Ridge) to validate the efficiency of the proposed approach. Finally, a ranking of the techniques using TOPSIS has been considered choosing the best feature selection technique based on different model parameters.
BLOSOM : Blockchain Technology for Security of Medical Records

Today, the world of information security is witnessing frequent attacks on electronic medical records by the naive and professional hackers, therefore security of the patient’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in Hospital Management System is of paramount importance. In the current research work Blockchain containers running on multiple ports are proposed to be used for holding patient’s medical records. To perform this task effectively, a Blockchain framework named as “Medichain” was developed from scratch with all the basic functionalities of a Blockchain to secure patient’s data. Each block of the Blockchain would contain a list of records of patient details as part of its data. Users would be provided with an option of uploading the file containing the list of records as a JSON file, in a decisive, distributed and decentralized network. The proposed Blockchain Algorithm consisting of cryptographic hash of the records, proof of work and a Merkle tree formulation were simulated in Python and the results have been positive and encouraging.

This paper describes a hardware structure and a communication system of a multiple autonomous robots system. Many studies have been devoted to the development of a single autonomous robot. It is, however, also necessary to investigate decentralized multiple autonomous robots system in order to make wider use of such robots. We have been studying a multiple autonomous robots system employing two mobile robots. In this paper, problems are overviewed on the developed multiple autonomous robots system from the viewpoint of hardware and communication, and an improved system is presented, which employs a new control strategy of a mobile robot and realizes reliable data communication between host computers.

Objective This study aimed to analyze the correlation between the immunoexpression of matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 (TiMP1) in the uterosacral ligaments in patients with uterine prolapse. Methods This analytic-correlative cross-sectional study included 32 patients who were admitted at the Hasan Sadikin General Hospital from July to December 2013. Sixteen of the patients had uterine prolapse, while the rest did not. The patients underwent total hysterectomy, radical hysterectomy, or staging laparotomy. MMP-9 and TiMP1 expression in the uterosacral ligaments was measured via immunohistochemical staining. The median expression per field of view was calculated using a histoscore. Results MMP-9 expression in patients with uterine prolapse was found to be higher than that in the control group. Meanwhile, TiMP1 expression showed no significant difference between the groups. Spearman’s analysis showed a moderate correlation between the expression of MMP-9 and uterine prolapse incidence (P=0.02), with a correlation coefficient of 0.574. Conclusion There is a moderate correlation between MMP-9 expression and the incidence of uterine prolapse. It can be considered one of the primary etiologies of uterine prolapse.
