「탐정소설가의 살인/가상범인」 속 ‘낭만성’의 실체와 호모소셜리티

이 논문은 김내성의 초기 추리소설인 일본어본 「탐정소설가의 살인」과 그것의 조선어본인 「가상범인」을 함께 살핌으로써 그가 작품에서 구현하고자 했던 ‘낭만성’이 실제로는 식민지 조선의 호모소셜리티에 기반하고 있음을 밝히고자 했다. 기존 논의는 김내성이 본격탐정소설과 변격탐정소설의 종합을 꾀했으나 당시 조선사회의 전근대성과 독자의 통속적 취향으로 인해 『마인』을 정점으로 점차 추리소설에서 통속소설로 전향하게 되었다고 보았다. 이 논문은 통속성으로 한정되어 연구된 김내성의 ‘낭만성’ 탐구가 여성에 대한 식민지 남성의 폭력적 타자화와 밀접한 관련이 있고, 식민지 남성의 불안한 지위가 그러한 여성혐오를 강화시켰음을 밝힌다. 연적으로 등장하는 유불란과 나용귀가 실제로는 ‘연애 테러리즘’이라는 공동의 목적 아래에 범행을 ‘공모’했고, 그 과정에서 이몽란은 철저히 대상화되었다. 이는 〈카르멘〉과의 혼성에서 분명히 드러난다. 「탐정소설가의 살인/가상범인」과 〈카르멘〉이 맺는 관계는 이러한 남성중심성이 일본문화계의 영향을 받은 것인 동시에 식민지 조선의 특성을 반영하는 것임을 보여준다. 주체적 여성을 그렸던 소설과 오페라 〈카르멘〉은 일본과 조선에서 전근대적 낭만극으로 변질되어 수용되었다. 김내성의 〈카르멘〉 이해 역시 일본문화계의 〈카르멘〉 수용의 자장 안에 놓여있었다는 사실은 텍스트속 남성중심성이 단순히 근대화된 일본과 구별되는 조선의 전근대성의 증거가 아니라는 사실을 보여준다. 하지만 「탐정소설가의 살인/가상범인」 속 여성혐오는 더욱 심화된 형태로 나타난다. ‘카르멘=이몽란’은 남성을 배신하는 변덕스러운 요부로 그려지며, ‘유불란=호세’는 다른 남성들과 연대해 그녀에게 복수한다. 여성인물에 대한 폭력적 타자화마저도 실패할 때, 유불란은 연적이었던 남성의 도움으로 여성을 살해하고, 식민지 공권력 앞에서 자신의 남성성을 포기함으로써 범죄 혐의를 벗는다. 이러한 유불란의 모습은 작품의 ‘낭만성’에 은폐된 식민지적 상황을 역설적으로 보여준다. This study reveal that romanticism which Kim Rae-seong tried to embody through his text was actually based on homosociality in colonial Korea by examining original Japanese version, “The Murder of a Detective Novelist” and it’s self-translated Korean version, “Imaginary Murderer” together. Romanticism, which previous researches has studied in his works only in terms of popularity and pre-modernity, actually overglaze misogyny in proportion to the insecure status of colonial male subject. Yoo Bul-ran and Na Yong-gui, who appeared rival in love actually ‘conspired’ under the common purpose of “Love Terrorism,” and othernized Lee Mong-ran. Variation which is occurred in the acceptance of 〈Carmen〉 in “The Murder of a Detective Novelist/Imaginary Murderer” is a clue to reveal these facts. This variation shows that masculinity in the text was influenced not only contemporary Japanese literature but characteristics of colonial Korea. The novel and opera 〈Carmen〉 which portrayed the subjective women were accepted as pre-modern romantic dramas in Japan and Korea. The fact that Kim Rae-seong’s acceptance of 〈Carmen〉 was under the influence of that of Japanese shows that masculinity in the text is not evidence of pre-modernity of Korea, which was distinguished from modernity of Japan. However, misogyny in “The Murder of a Detective Novelist/Imaginary Murderer” appears in a deepened way. In this text, ‘Lee Mong-ran=Carmen’ is a femme fatale who betraying and destroying men, and ‘Yoo Bul-ran=José’ take vengeance on her for ‘betraying’ him with help of other males. After failing to get firm identity by himself, Yoo Bul-ran killed Lee Mong-ran with help of rival in love, Na Yong-gui and was acquitted of murder by colonial public power. Such characteristic of Yoo Bul-ran paradoxically shows the concealed colonial reality by the romanticism of the works.

<P>Inflammatory responses are a first line of host defense against a range of invading pathogens, consisting of the release of proinflammatory cytokines followed by attraction of polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMNs) to the site of inflammation. Among the many virulence factors that contribute to the pathogenesis of infections, nucleoside diphosphate kinase (Ndk) mediates bacterially induced toxicity against eukaryotic cells. However, no study has examined how Ndk affects inflammatory responses. The present study examined the mechanisms by which <I>Pseudomonas aeruginosa</I> activates inflammatory responses upon infection of cells. The results showed that bacterial Ndk, with the aid of an additional bacterial factor, flagellin, induced expression of the proinflammatory cytokines interleukin-1α (IL-1α) and IL-1β. Cytokine induction appeared to be dependent on the kinase activity of Ndk and was mediated via the NF-κB signaling pathway. Notably, Ndk activated the Akt signaling pathway, which acts upstream of NF-κB, as well as caspase-1, which is a key component of inflammasome. Thus, this study demonstrated that <I>P. aeruginosa</I>, through the combined effects of Ndk and flagellin, upregulates the expression of proinflammatory cytokines via the Akt/NF-κB signaling pathways.</P>
A Mission Planning System for Multiple Ballistic Missiles

This paper presents the design and implementation of a Mission Planning System(MPS) for multiple ballistic missiles. MPSs are also a kind of M&S systems in defense domain, and these provide important computations on the ground before flights of flying objects. The proposed MPS in this paper has a new concept which is far from generating a set of waypoints of a flying object and proving the set. In this paper, we firstly discuss the research motivation of our own MPS; then, we introduce the design of our MPS and its functionalities. In order to prove the practicality of our MPS, we have conducted a case study.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Here, we identify cells within human adult secondary lymphoid tissues that are comparable in phenotype and location to the lymphoid tissue inducer (LTi) cells that persist in the adult mouse. Identified as CD117<SUP>+</SUP>CD3<SUP>−</SUP>CD56<SUP>−</SUP> cells, like murine LTi cells, they lack expression of many common lineage markers and express CD127, OX40L and TRANCE. These cells were detected at the interface between the B‐ and T‐ zones, as well as at the subcapsular sinus in LNs, the location where LTi cells reside in murine spleen and LNs. Furthermore, like murine LTi cells, these cells expressed high levels of IL‐22 and upregulated IL‐22 expression upon IL‐23 stimulation. Importantly, these cells were not an NK cell subset since they showed no expression of IFN‐γ and perforin. Interestingly, a subset of the CD117<SUP>+</SUP>CD3<SUP>−</SUP>CD56<SUP>−</SUP>OX40L<SUP>+</SUP> population expressed NKp46, again similar to recent findings in mice. Finally, these cells supported memory CD4<SUP>+</SUP> T‐cell survival in an OX40L‐dependent manner. Combined, these data indicate that the CD117<SUP>+</SUP>CD3<SUP>−</SUP>CD56<SUP>−</SUP>OX40L<SUP>+</SUP> cells in human secondary lymphoid tissues are comparable in phenotype, location and function to the LTi cells that persist within adult murine secondary lymphoid tissues.</P>

High Level Architecture/Run-Time Infrastructure (HLA/RTI) is used to connect individual simulators on networks in order to interoperate heterogeneous simulators. In defense domain, Ship Air Defense Model (SADM) and Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM) are two of most advanced simulation tools. To interoperate these SADM and EADSIM, this paper attempts to use HLA/RTI that helps to support a Composite Combat Mission Planning Simulation Environment (CCMPSE). The CCMPSE allows us to analyze a group of simulations for comprehensive and accurate experiments. For the first time, this paper analyzes guided missile simulations in EADSIM and SADM by comparing related simulation models in their parameters and considerations. It presents characteristics of these models in view of guided missile simulation perspectives. For the contributions of this paper, it provides insights to select guided missiles between SADM and EADSIM on the CCMPSE according to specific simulation purposes.
