Research on preprocessing of winding trajectory of composite type IV pressure vessel based on robot

        Jiazhong Xu,Yiwei Xu,Yunfei Gu,Xiaobing Zhang,Hao Zhang 대한기계학회 2022 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.36 No.12

Herein, a smooth preprocessing method of robotic end-effector trajectory, based on Nurbs curve is proposed for obtaining the complete and stable envelope trajectory of the robot. Initially, the winding pattern of pressure vessel based on non-geodesic is deduced, followed by positioning of yarn point based on doffing point distribution and preprocessing of the trajectory through Nurbs curve. Variation trend and stationarity of velocity and acceleration in carriage and cross-carriage directions in Cartesian coordinate system are analyzed. Finally, the winding experiment of type Ⅳ pressure vessel is wound with the robotic winding workstation. Results show that the fiber winding can be carried out stably by the end of the robot. The realtime movement curve of the robot is consistent with the simulation curve, and the pressure liner is completely covered without yarn sliding and overhead problems, verifying the feasibility of the as-reported preprocessing method.

Effect of specific functional groups on oil adhesion from mica substrate: Implications for low salinity effect

        Jiazhong Wu,Fanghui Liu,Hui Yang,Shijing Xu,Quan Xie,Minghui Zhang,TING CHEN,Guangxin Hu,Jinben Wang 한국공업화학회 2017 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.56 No.-

Low salinity effect has been in the center of attention as a cost-effective and environmentally friendlytechnique. Wettability alteration of the oil/brine/mica system appears to be the identified mechanism(s)to trigger the low salinity effect. While the effect of water chemistry and minerology on the wettability ofthe system has been extensively investigated, few studies have investigated the effect of specific functiongroups from crude oil on the system wettability, limiting the understanding of how specific functionalgroup contributes to the wettability. We thus experimentally measured the adhesion forces betweenmica surfaces and functional groups (e.g., C6H5–, CH3–, COOH–, and NH2–) in the presence of differentaqueous ionic solutions using chemical force microscopy (CFM). Moreover, to understand thecontribution of the structural force, the traditional Derjaguin–Landau–Verwey–Overbeek (DLVO) theorywas extended (denoted as EDLVO) tofit the force profiles using a Gauss model. Our results showed thatthe adhesion force between mica and functional groups in a decreasing order was –NH2> –COOH> –CH3> –C6H5. We also found that while DLVO forces strongly affected the tip-surface contact due to theinteractions among oil/brine/mica interfaces, the structural forces also played an important role in adistance of 1–20 nm due to the presence of H-bonds between COOH-terminated or NH2-terminated tipand mica surface. We therefore conclude that the structural force largely contributes to the adhesionforce due to the hydrophilicity or polarity of functional groups, and nucleophilic property (such as phenylgroup). Our results suggest that the polarity of the crude oil needs to be considered to screen a candidatereservoir for low salinity waterflooding projects.

Bifurcation analysis of combustion instability in a Rijke burner with an improved third-order saturated flame model

Nannan Dang,Wei Wang,Jiazhong Zhang,Yan Liu 대한기계학회 2022 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.36 No.8

The bifurcation analysis of nonlinear combustion instability in a Rijke burner is studied numerically. First, a saturated flame model and a third-order saturated flame model are proposed, and the mode truncation effects are investigated by studying their influences on system eigenvalues. Then, bifurcation analysis on the flame location, average flame intensity, damping, and time delay in the flame model is conducted with the new flame models. Results show that the burner driven by the saturated model loses stability via supercritical Hopf bifurcations, whereas the system driven by the third-order saturated model shows the characteristic of subcritical Hopf bifurcations, accompanied by bistable regimes emerging in the bifurcation diagrams. Finally, the effects of velocity perturbations are analyzed further, and the results show that a given system may oscillates with different frequencies if the disturbance is imposed to different Galerkin modes. This study reveals that the process of the combustion system’s transition to instability depends strongly on the nonlinear term in the flame model.

Gut-derived lipopolysaccharide promotes alcoholic hepatosteatosis and subsequent hepatocellular carcinoma by stimulating neutrophil extracellular traps through toll-like receptor 4

        Yang Liu,Xin Zhang,Shuo Chen,Jiazhong Wang,Shuo Yu,Yiming Li,Meng Xu,Harouna Aboubacar,Junhui Li,Tao Shan,Jixin Wang,Gang Cao 대한간학회 2022 Clinical and Molecular Hepatology(대한간학회지) Vol.28 No.3

Background/Aims: Binge drinking leads to many disorders, including alcoholic hepatosteatosis, which is characterized by intrahepatic neutrophil infiltration and increases the risk of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Molecular mechanisms may involve the migration of bacterial metabolites from the gut to the liver and the activation of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs). Methods: Serum samples from both binge drinking and alcohol-avoiding patients were analyzed. Mouse models of chronic plus binge alcohol-induced hepatosteatosis and HCC models were used. Results: A marker of NETs formation, lipopolysaccharide (LPS), was significantly higher in alcoholic hepatosteatosis and HCC patients and mice than in controls. Intrahepatic inflammation markers and HCC-related cytokines were decreased in mice with reduced NET formation due to neutrophil elastase (NE) deletion, and liver-related symptoms of alcohol were also alleviated in NE knockout mice. Removal of intestinal bacteria with antibiotics led to decreases in markers of NETs formation and inflammatory cytokines upon chronic alcohol consumption, and development of alcoholic hepatosteatosis and HCC was also attenuated. These functions were restored upon supplementation with the bacterial product LPS. When mice lacking toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) received chronic alcohol feeding, intrahepatic markers of NETs formation decreased, and hepatosteatosis and HCC were alleviated. Conclusions: Formation of NETs following LPS stimulation of TLR4 upon chronic alcohol use leads to increased alcoholic steatosis and subsequent HCC.

An Experimental Study on Seepage within Shale Fractures due to Confining Pressure and Temperature

        Jingping Wang,Haichun Ma,Peichao Feng,Qing Zhang,Jiazhong Qian,Xiaohui Tan,Lei Ma,Daoxiang Wu 대한토목학회 2021 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.25 No.9

Seepage of groundwater within rock fractures is widespread. The seepage conditions in the fractures can be affected by the stress and temperature conditions. Shale seepage conditions are a complicated coupling of stress and temperature. Experiments were carried out on shale samples containing three types of fractures: a single short fracture (type A), a single long fracture (type B), and symmetrical short fractures (type C). Three temperature conditions were set for type A. The coefficient C, which is defined as the ratio between the seepage pressure and the flow rate, is constant when the temperature effects are slight. Linear correlations between the coefficient C and the temperature were simulated. For type B, four confining pressures were applied using the confining pressure pump. As the confining pressure increases, the seepage pressure increases. The seepage pressure distribution is nonlinear when the flow rate increases to 6 ml/min under a confining pressure of 12 MPa. For type C, three temperature conditions with three confining pressure conditions were analyzed to determine the seepage pressure. The effects of the confining pressure on the seepage pressure are different from those of type B. Nonlinear curves occur under confining pressures of 3 MPa and 6 MPa at 50°C. The seepage pressure values at 70°C are smaller than those at 30°C and 50°C. The coefficient C contour is depicted for the experimental ranges of temperature and confining pressures. The small value region of coefficient C occurs at about 6 MPa and 50°C. The nonlinear increase in the seepage pressure in the fractures occurred when the confining pressure was larger for a single fracture and when the confining pressure was lower for double fractures.

Molecular and functional characterization of the adiponectin (AdipoQ) gene in goat skeletal muscle satellite cells

        Wang, Linjie,Xue, Ke,Wang, Yan,Niu, Lili,Li, Li,Zhong, Tao,Guo, Jiazhong,Feng, Jing,Song, Tianzeng,Zhang, Hongping Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2018 Animal Bioscience Vol.31 No.8

Objective: It is commonly accepted that adiponectin binds to its two receptors to regulate fatty acid metabolism in adipocytes. To better understand their functions in the regulation of intramuscular adipogenesis in goats, we cloned the three genes (adiponectin [AdipoQ], adiponectin receptor 1 [AdipoR1], and AdipoR2) encoding these proteins and detected their mRNA distribution in different tissues. We also determined the role of AdipoQ in the adipogenic differentiation of goat skeletal muscle satellite cells (SMSCs). Methods: SMSCs were isolated using 1 mg/mL Pronase E from the longissimus dorsi muscles of 3-day-old female Nanjiang brown goats. Adipogenic differentiation was induced in satellite cells by transferring the cells to Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium supplemented with an isobutylmethylxanthine, dexamethasone and insulin cocktail. The pEGFP-N1-AD plasmid was transfected into SMSCs using Lipofectamine 2000. Expression of adiponectin in tissues and SMSCs was detected by quantitative polymerase chain reaction and immunocytochemical staining. Results: The three genes were predominantly expressed in adipose and skeletal muscle tissues. According to fluorescence and immunocytochemical analyses, adiponectin protein expression was only observed in the cytoplasm, suggesting that adiponectin is localized to the cytoplasm of goat SMSCs. In SMSCs overexpressing the AdipoQ gene, adiponectin promoted SMSC differentiation into adipocytes and significantly (p<0.05) up-regulated expression of AdipoR2, acetyl-CoA carboxylase, fatty-acid synthase, and sterol regulatory element-binding protein-1, though expression of CCAAT/enhancer-binding $protein-{\alpha}$, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor ${\gamma}$, and AdipoR1 did not change significantly. Conclusion: Adiponectin induced SMSC differentiation into adipocytes, indicating that adiponectin may promote intramuscular adipogenesis in goat SMSC.
