Sterilization is an essential process for biodegradable polymers to be used as biomaterials or tissue engi-neered-scaffolds. The characteristics of biodegradable scaffolds can change due to decomposition of constituentpolymers due to high temperature, pressure, or moisture during sterilization. This study investigated direct-current (DC) treatment as a safe method that can prevent structural change and deformation. Treatment of electrospun poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) with DC showed a bactericidal effect within 40 sec at 4 V. When DC was appliedat 6 V to the electrospun PLGA, the bactericidal effect emerged within 30 sec. The morphology of fibers and molec-ular weight of PLGA polymer was maintained after DC treatment. In contrast, electrospun PLGA exposed to ethyl-ene oxide showed fiber degradation, and gamma or e-beam irradiation resulted in decreased molecular weight. Thedemonstrated improvement in chemical and physical stability of biodegradable polymers after DC sterilization mayhelp extend their application.
Prediction Model of Real Estate Transaction Price with the LSTM Model based on AI and Bigdata

Korea is facing a number difficulties arising from rising housing prices. As ‘housing’ takes the lion’s share in personal assets, many difficulties are expected to arise from fluctuating housing prices. The purpose of this study is creating housing price prediction model to prevent such risks and induce reasonable real estate purchases. This study made many attempts for understanding real estate instability and creating appropriate housing price prediction model. This study predicted and validated housing prices by using the LSTM technique - a type of Artificial Intelligence deep learning technology. LSTM is a network in which cell state and hidden state are recursively calculated in a structure which added cell state, which is conveyor belt role, to the existing RNN’s hidden state. The real sale prices of apartments in autonomous districts ranging from January 2006 to December 2019 were collected through the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport’s real sale price open system and basic apartment and commercial district information were collected through the Public Data Portal and the Seoul Metropolitan City Data. The collected real sale price data were scaled based on monthly average sale price and a total of 168 data were organized by preprocessing respective data based on address. In order to predict prices, the LSTM implementation process was conducted by setting training period as 29 months (April 2015 to August 2017), validation period as 13 months (September 2017 to September 2018), and test period as 13 months (December 2018 to December 2019) according to time series data set. As a result of this study for predicting ‘prices’, there have been the following results. Firstly, this study obtained 76 percent of prediction similarity. We tried to design a prediction model of real estate transaction price with the LSTM Model based on AI and Bigdata. The final prediction model was created by collecting time series data, which identified the fact that 76 percent model can be made. This validated that predicting rate of return through the LSTM method can gain reliability.

Grand multifetal pregnancies (4 or more), usually caused by ovulation induction agents and assisted reproductive technologies, challenge all members of a perinatal team and put mothers and infants increased risk. Important anesthetic considerations include greater incidence of complications that in the singleton pregnancy, risks related to the large pregnant uterus, impaired uterine contraction prior to delivery secondary to fetal oxygenation, and preparation of sufficient man-power and instruments. The importance of neonatal resuscitation cannot be overemphasized. We report a successful general anesthetic management for an emergent quadruplet cesarean section at 31 weeks 5 days weeks gestational age. (Korean J Anesthesiol 2007; 53: S 48∼50)

Background and Objectives: Little is known about studies evaluating positive airway pressure (PAP) compliance after re-prescription. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate PAP compliance after re-prescription in obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) patients who failed initial PAP therapy. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed OSA patients who had received a re-prescription for PAP from March 2020 to June 2021. We compared the compliance rate between initial prescription and re-prescription for PAP and investigated the reasons for PAP failure after the first prescription. Results: A total of 10 consecutive OSA patients (mean age=45.6±13.7 years and male:female=8:2) who received a re-prescription for PAP were included. Of them, 8 patients (80%) met the compliance criteria (i.e., Korean National Health Insurance criteria) for PAP after re-prescription. The compliance rate increased from 36.3±18.2% (initial prescription) to 61.3±28.8% (re-prescription); this was not of statistical significance (p=0.074). PAP/mask-related discomfort was the most common reason for PAP failure, followed by nasal obstruction, unintentional mask removal, and pressure-related discomfort. Conclusion: Even if initial PAP therapy fails, the proportion of patients who meet the compliance criteria may be improved through various forms of clinical aid and support after re-prescription of PAP.
